Jersey Mike's RULES.

There are better choices. Panera by you?

I don't think there's a Paners, and I've never heard of Jersey Mikes :( I'll live and all, it's not like it was when all the local Wendy's restaurants just up and shut down one day out of nowhere! Now that was a travesty.

(Obviously kidding, except still feel like I need to add this disclaimer--this was a joke in the sense I don't care more about sandwiches than children.)

A former Subway franchisee has claimed that she told the company about Jared Fogle's sexual interest in children as early as 2008, but officials did nothing.

Cindy Mills, a Subway franchisee from 2006 to 2012, told Business Insider that Fogle admitted to her that he'd had sex with minors. "He would just tell me he really liked them young," she said.

She also said that Fogle told her about a trip to Thailand in which he paid for sex with minors between the ages of 9 and 16 years old.

I guess that's why Subway cut ties with him before anything was discovered. They already knew.

I don't go to Subway very much anyway, but I'm done with them, too. Jimmy John's is good and we have at least 2 in my town! We also have a Firehouse Subs which I haven't tried yet but have heard is delicious.

Yep. They knew.

But I don't understand why the whistle-blower went to Subway instead of the police? If I find out my neighbor is abusing children, I wouldn't call his employer and business associates. I would call the police. That part is a stickler for me in the story.

It's my understanding that one whistle-blower went to LE and was ignored and another went to Subway and was ignored. Do I have that right?

Of course, SUBWAY should've alert authorities once they knew about Jared. I think Jared was so popular that Subway didn't want to lose him because of the money we brought in for them. Shame on them!

(I'm bummed because I actually like Subway - they have a good veggie version that is good. Sigh.)

The more I think about this case the madder I get.

just wanted to say again that IMO, we aren't going to find out in the future that the charges against Jared were trumped up!

on the contrary, when the people he narcked on get arrested, they are going to pay him back by spilling the entire can of worms all over the place! JMO of course.

Let's sum it up:

He was really, really fat, lost weight by eating turkey sandwiches, used his fame to buy himself a foundation for children JUST SO he could have sex with them, and got caught.

Where in all this is someone who deserves to be thought well of? In any way? Or even for us to hope for his sake that he
wasn't as offensive as he seems?

For his victims, yes.

I don't have compassion for him. I'm just not that enlightened. And, I will bet the farm that he has done far. far worse than has already been revealed.

Giving away his $$$ to victims should not influence the
judge's decision, MOO.

Edited to add, in my book, whether or not he actually had physical sex with a child under 6, if he watched and distributed the material, and solicited the material to be
filmed, again JMO, he is just as guilty as the people making the film. Every time he watches it, he is raping the child again.

Child Rape=DP

In a perfect world......

A former franchisee alerted a Subway advertising executive in 2008 about her concerns about pitchman Jared Fogle, according to her lawyer.

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory/lawyer-franchisee-alerted-subway-fogle-33367049

—Fogle told her about paying for sex with minors on a trip to Thailand, and paying for sex with a 16-year-old he found on Craigslist.

—She offered to show Moody the texts from Fogle, but Moody stopped her and said he didn't want to hear anymore.

—Moody said he had dealt with similar comments, and reassured Mills that Fogle had met a teacher who would get him on the right track.

"To me, it was confirmation that they knew about it," Beasley said.

Shades of the Josh Duggar thing. Everyone knew but sent him to a fellow who would fix it all and no one called the cops and no one reported and no one saved the KIDS !

I think the teacher that was considered the person to get him on the right track was his second wife, not a "fellow."

JMO.

DP is for murder, first degree with additional felonies

LWOP is appropriate for child rape.

Solicitation for sex with someone under age of consent but over 14 should be 25 years in prison.

IMO

What next, Fogle will sue Russell Taylor for 'sending him child *advertiser censored*?'

With all of the question about where the donated monies went, Jared is probably trying to re-coup so his family is not left penniless. I hope both Taylor and Fogle spend a lot of time in jail.

I think Subway should be suing Jared. False representation!

It seems like there would have to be some kind of "Don't get busted in a child *advertiser censored* ring" clause in his contract.

Most contracts have a "moral turpitude" clause for leaders in a company. I worked in educational administration and my contracts had a turpitude clause.

"Moral turpitude is a legal concept in the United States and some other countries that refers to "conduct that is considered contrary to community standards of justice, honesty or good morals." This term appears in U.S. immigration law beginning in the 19th century."----Wikipedia

http://www.khou.com/story/news/nati...-guilty-child-*advertiser censored*/71507670/

''Russell C. Taylor, the former director of Jared Fogle's charitable foundation, agreed to plead guilty Tuesday to 13 criminal charges for his role in a child *advertiser censored* case that also ensnared his former boss and friend.''

A company can fire an executive or high ranking/important person who is on contract for moral transgressions, but the company is not going to get money back from the person, unless that person stole or extorted monies and payback is part of the sentence.

This case has nothing to do with Fogle's salary or compensation from Subway. Fogle's deal with Subway came as a result of him eating their food, losing a lot of weight, being discovered and talking about how he used their food in his diet and they kept him for 15 years as their major spokesperson. They terminated their business relationship and that's that. There won't be any legal action from Subway. Fogle will be in prison for years to come, anyway.

And yet Fogle was shocked, SHOCKED at the allegations against Taylor.

A dozen minors were involved, including some related to Taylor, according to a complaint.

Taylor and Fogle discussed the secret production of the videos in Taylor’s homes, and Fogle obtained a significant amount of the material, according to prosecutors.

In addition, Taylor provided Fogle with child *advertiser censored* he downloaded from the Internet involving children as young as 6, prosecutors said.

The complaint said on Taylor on multiple occasions shared child *advertiser censored* with Fogle on a computer that Taylor owned. Taylor also shared images and videos through text messages and a thumb drive.
