From your link:

Jared Fogle released a statement on behalf of his foundation, saying it was severing ties with Taylor. However, a family member who didn’t want to be identified, claims that’s not the case.

According to the family member, Fogle continued to privately support Taylor, and was even involved in bailing him out of jail. Taylor’s attorney wouldn’t confirm or deny that his client still has a relationship with the Subway spokesperson, but did say that Taylor was bailed out shortly after his arrest on state charges. Taylor is now back in jail, facing federal charges.

I am always wary of people who don't want to be indentified..

I really want this to turn out not to be about him.

A judge granted prosecutors more time to produce a federal indictment. Taylor’s attorney would not say why, but did say it’s possible that Taylor is working with prosecutors and against Fogle.

I hugely champion the presumption of innocence but as, like each of us here, I am not a serving juror on this case, I might be forgiven if I conclude, based entirely on anecdotal evidence and necessarily subjective opinion, that matters are not looking too favorable for this Fogle character at this point in time.

The ONLY reason you would help bail someone out of jail that is charged with that sort of crime is if you are in on it yourself.

I can't believe that this jerk continued to secretly finacially support him.

I hope jared goes to prison for YEARS. jmo.

The Jared Foundation:

<snip>

The foundation proved successful at raising cash. According to the nonprofit's 990-EZ tax exempt form in 2013, it raised $127,276 that year from contributions, gifts and grants. The foundation spent $148,244. On just what, is unclear. The largest expenditure — $96,805 — was listed as "other expenses."

Taylor [former Ex Dir] earned $40,008 annually. The tax form listed four board members who were not paid...

That is exactly what I suspected. I felt all along that Taylor and his attorney are trying to swing a plea deal in exchange for giving up others involved in kiddie *advertiser censored* including Fogle.

JF made pretty good money I bet during his college days selling *advertiser censored* so I wouldn't be surprised if he is the mastermind behind all of this and has been selling kiddie *advertiser censored* videos on line or mailing them through the USPS. I think that is why the Inspector was there at his home today. Many don't realize how powerful the Postal Inspector is with the same power, experience, and degrees a FBI agent would have.

It makes sense now why Fogle supposedly helped Taylor get out of jail the first time. Who in their right mind would want to be involved with making bond/bail for someone charged with kiddie *advertiser censored* especially one who was making the kiddie *advertiser censored* right inside of his own home?

I think Jared forgot when two people know a secret it isn't a secret anymore. I think Fogle was trying to buy Taylor's silence by still having a relationship with him.

JFs attorney's statement is amusing but predictable. He tried to make it seem like Jared just up and invited the SP, FBI, and PI over early in the morning to go through his home inch by inch. The truth he had no choice in the matter and could do nothing but be outside when they legally searched his home by a search warrant.

Every FBI investigation I have read about concerning kiddie *advertiser censored* the investigators already had evidence of it before serving the SW and entering the home. I think it will be the same in this case.

IMO

According to this,Taylor has been on life support since attempting suicide.

And I don't think that Taylor set Jared up either. He had to have known that this filth was in his own home. I bet he was the mastermind behind all of this.

sick nasty creep. jmo.

Daily Mail:

Subway suspends Jared Fogle and scrubs him from its website after child *advertiser censored* raid:
Chain distances itself from weight-loss pitchman after his computer is seized by FBI

Lengthy, with pics, videos, links.

He was on life support, from what I gather. He's improved and appears to be in the custody of the US Marsall's service, according to this msm source. http://www.indystar.com/story/news/crime/2015/07/07/jared-fogle-home-search-know/29827067/

May 6: Taylor tries to commit suicide while being held in the Marion County Jail. He survives and is placed on life support. His health later improves and he is put in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.

(I don't think radar online is considered by WS to be a linkable msm news source. :seeya:)

I'd be interested to know if Russell and Fogle knew each other prior to the foundation's creation.

Just to reiterate for those who are just catching up....or on:

A law enforcement source has confirmed to CBS News that Subway restaurant spokesman Jared Fogle is a suspect in a federal child *advertiser censored* investigation.

I never would have suspected him at all.

I hope his wife files for divorce and gets custody of the kids.

First was Dustin "Screech" Diamond, and now Jared Fogle. How many of this generation's most luminous talents will run afoul of the law this year?

(Sorry -- not trying to trivialize their misdeeds, confirmed or suspected.)

make me wonder why he ran his foundation from his house? wait, I think I already know the answer. :(

Taylor and Jared are wrongdoers. The FBI doesn't just pull into your driveway with a mobile electronics vehicle unless they are conducting some serious business. What I don't understand is why Jared was not arrested today.

I hope Subway can overcome the shame. Twitter is having a field day with the jokes. I couldn't read them for they made me feel ill.

We are not just talking about a couple of guys who got caught with *advertiser censored*. We don't know how many innocent victims have been harmed by their trashy habits. One article said children as young as 9yo were exposed to this criminal activity. Heart breaking to consider.

I have no sympathy for the perpetrators of the innocent children. My thoughts and prayers will focus on the well being of the young victims.

Me too -- currently googling about but have yet to find an answer; my opinion? "most definitely," to borrow that tired ol' usage.

Agreed -- though I have no sympathy for Subway; a billion dollar enterprise couldn't vet a connection to this "foundation" a bit more closely? Heads should roll and cash payouts for future lawsuits should be anticipated.

But what could one expect from a business that, a bit over a year ago, announced the "footlong" sandwich designation was "not intended to be a measurement of length"?

Karma, dude.

(Then, of course, there was also the even-more-recent problem of the "use of a chemical found not only in its bread, but also in yoga mats, shoe soles and rubber caps." They did discontinue that little faux pas.)

I have no sympathy for Subway either. I used to get chafed at how stingy they were putting the ingredients on their sandwiches, then I realized that it didn't matter because the sandwiches were revolting anyway.

And this was long before the yoga mat ingredient came to light.
