Circumstances of Discovery
The decedent was found in an embankment by a state highway employee while inspecting an overpass near Fruitridge Avenue and I-70.

No personal items or identification were found. There were no knife or gunshot wounds on the decedent's bones.

Synthis Corporation, where the fibula plate was manufactured, was located in Pennsylvania and distributed to almost 200 hospitals nationwide. It is believed to have been inserted in the decendent's leg between January and April of 1997 to help heal the broken bone.

Interesting. If accurate, and estimated PMI is fairly accurate, then this would mean those injuries potentially occurred within months of his death.

Did you happen to archive NamUs cases that were later removed from NamUs? In case you did, do they pages still appear like they were before being taken down?

I’m asking because I’ve tried using the wayback machine on a number of cases that I knew they had recently been removed and all the captures showed the page down. I went very far back and none of them worked. I may have been unlucky, but I think there’s something not working quite right when it comes to NamUs and wayback machine. I would love it if there was a better alternative.
