Just found this site last night, so feel as if I'm jumping into the middle.

Who was the relative that was suppose to have been at the house earlier in the evening and why was that person there? I thought Ron's mom said it was to check on them (why) and drop off clothes. Then I thought I heard that person helped with the laundry. Either inconsistent or unclear. Is that the one that was suppose to have been there at 7 o'clock? Is so that doesn't prove Missy was there all night.

Another one is about the little boy and the guy in black clothes. I think that was a 4 year old imagination and not sure why it was even brought to the media. If he woke up and saw anyone take his sissy, either he would have yelled or at least wake up Missy if she was really there. I have 2 grandsons that age, and one doesn't leave without the other one at least saying something and probably wanted to go along. I did "love" when Ron said he didn't know, he was at work.

I was reading on another site and an expert at reading body language agrees with everything you pointed out. Ron's "alibi" doesn't mean squat to me. We don't know what time Haleigh disappeared so Ron is as probable as anyone else in my book, or if he wasn't home when she was taken but he knows more than he's saying, at this point that makes him just as guilty as the person who took her.

I'm having a hard time with this Today Show interview. Their body language was all wrong. Was Ron just really nervous about being on the show? Or is he very nervous about something he knows and was holding back so as not to reveal whatever it is they are hiding? For a man who claims to be innocent (and he may be) he sure is doing a good job of making himself look guilty of something. Misty has so many different stories for just a couple of events I'm not even going to bother going there!

Meredith seemed to be picking up on it too. After a month plus of having a camera in your face every time you turn around wouldn't you be used to it to the point of at least be able to fake being relaxed? Ron and Misty were both strung so tight a good gab and either one of them would have popped.

They certainly didn't look like marriage was agreeing with either one of them. No holding hands, no loving looks, not even touching shoulders. Then when Meredith asked Ron why they got married he replied "I don't know, I think it's what my daughter would've wanted. What!?! Wrong answer!! But Misty didn't even seem to notice!

Did she just want to be married so badly that she doesn't care now that she got her man or does she not know there are men who would treat her better out there? (Literally, just about anyone!)

I wonder if Ron told Misty to have her brother come by for the AC guy because the AC guy couldn't legally enter the house with just Misty and the kids there? When we moved here there were multiple problems with the house and the repair men would only come in if DH or I were home. DD was 16, looked older but repairman always asked her age, not one came in when I wasn't home.

BTW Indigo that transcript is a typo. If you hear what is said TN says Ron picked up Haleigh!

Who picked Haleigh up from the school bus?

GRACE: We know for a fact, Miss Neves, that she was at school the day that she went missing.

NEVES: Yes, ma`am, she was. I picked her up from the bus stop.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP.../17/ng.01.html

I went to the link and it said page not found. I to thought that Neves said she got Haleigh off the bus. Now I am confused as to who got her off the bus and who all said they got her off the bus. Something is just not right. Wonder if any locals know what time Ron goes to work as well as Neves? Do you recall the date of this interview? I would like to read the transcript again.
Please and Thank you..

Those of you who read and answered my posts, thank you. What I do know is if you do get a minute, I couldnt find transcripts but you can find the video of the Today show interview. Pay close attention to the new chain of events and now there is a new timeline which makes RC suspicious IMO....Now I would really like to know what time he got out of work. IIRC Misty has been saying , per police report, it was before three, interviews 3,she saw three. So I think we all went with three, as well as LE, because the big question was what took her so long to call 911. Now if you rewatch the Today show interview she AGAIN changed her chain of events to waking up, seeing light on, door open grabs her phone to call RC and THEN notices Haleigh is missing . In the interview RC even interjects that at that time he was already in the driveway. This now is a whole different story that I have been trying to bring up, I know alot of people were just overwhelmed by his Alibi answer for the wrong question, and MC's "I dont know" response following a long pause with a eye gesturing plea from RC, but IMO this is huge. TYIA for checking this out for yourselves...so you can get on my page of having even a harder time dismissing RC from this crime.

Hi, MADJGNLAW. Missmybaby was correct about the transcript being off. I went back and listened and here's what Teresa actually said:

GRACE: We know for a fact, Miss Neves, that she was at school the day that she went missing.

NEVES:Yes ma`am she was. My son picked her up at the bus stop.

Not sure how accurate this is, but this is one of the interviews from NG and TN states it was her family that came by? I also am confused because at one point I thought she said she came by, but here she states she had her family members there that night. Not her?

NEVES: I do believe she was at home. I believe she`s a very responsible girl. I believe -- like I say, I had family members there that night, dropping off clothes, and so I know she was there up until a point. And I don`t believe that she left after that.

GRACE: OK. Good to know.

I believe the relative who came by was greatgrandmother Annette S. I'm not clear on how long she stayed. One interview I got the impression that she just drove by and saw the children eating on the porch and waving at her but if she was checking on the children and bringing clothes, she would have came in and stayed a bit, shouldn't she?

Your question reminds me of another thing that seemed inconsistent to me. TN has said repeatedly that MC is a responsible caretaker, but she also told NG that she had a relative over to check on the children. If she believes the former, why would they feel the need to arrange the latter? What's there to check if everything is always fine and responsibly handled?

Has AS talked with the media, even locally.

I've gotten the idea that the home is "out of the way". Would it be likely that someone would just drive by? I'd have to be in a BIG HURRY to drive by & see my grandsons out & not stop at least for hugs & kisses.

So we have
1. driving by
2. checking on children
3. taking clothes
4. helping with laundry

And we have this happened about 7 o'clock which "proves" that MC was there all night. Did AS see the MC with the children?

Yes, she says she saw Misty.

Here's her on video: http://www.wftv.com/video/18748628/index.html

The last time Sykes saw her great granddaughter was the night before she went missing. “They put their plates down and came and gave me a hug and a kiss… I kissed her goodbye, and I left,” said Sykes.

“She was sitting on the front porch when we pulled up…her and junior sitting up there with the plate and eating…when we go up---she’s just hollering hey granny, hey granny, just like they always do,” said Sykes.

We caught up with the great grandmother outside of the tent set up by Ronald Cummings’ family. Sykes said she’s heard all the rumors about how her grandson’s girlfriend, Misty Croslin, has been lying to police. She said all those rumors are not true.

“That’s a crock…because I went by the house that night---she was there,” said Sykes.

Crystal states that an incident occurred when Haleigh was 2 and there was a near drowning, however 911 was not called, and this is at the very least poor judgment on the part of both parents.
This incident very likely did not occur.

We were camping and I watched a 3 year old pulled from the water, cold, blue and not breathing. I did CPR on him on the boat ramp. kid came around after a couple of minutes. Before time of cell phones and no phone access.

Kid was still pale, weak, etc. but alert, breathing, etc. but I advised parents to take him to the closest ER as he needed overnight admission to be observed, chest x-ray, etc. They left and were gone a couple of hours. Showed back up and said they went to ER and it was busy so they got tired of waiting and left before seeing a doctor. They thought he was just fine.

Kid ended up having subsequent seizures as a result of lack of oxygen to brain due to near drowning.

So, yep, could very well have happened. Some folks do not think like most responsible adult parents.

Thanks guys for the clarification on who saw who at 7pm. Still not an independent person. Do we know more about the supposed neighbor kids that played with her? Usually IMO, by that time on a school night, younger kids are inside for supper and winding down towards bed.

ITA, anyone who experienced a near drowning needs to see a doc. The most dangerous things to people who survive is what happens because of what you stated and developing deadly pnuemonia from the bacteria inhaled in the water.

So we have an alibi for Misty, and nobody ever mentions Ron being there. We can assume he was at work. Maybe he left after he brought Haleigh home from the bus stop. It will be interesting to hear what the neighbors have to say about who brought Haleigh home and what time did they notice Ron's car leave.
What I don't understand is if TN and AS feel Misty is so responsible why did they need to send someone over with clothe and to check on the children? Was it not said somewhere that Misty had taken off for 3 days before? Could it be that the grandmother's were afraid Misty might take off again due to the fight Ron had with the cousin?
1. checking on children - why would they need to check on the children if they felt that Misty was responsible?
2. taking clothes - Misty states she had washed some blankets that night, there is a washer and dryer there, why would anyone need to bring over clothe?
3. The fight that never happen per Ron- Didn't Misty and one of the grandmother's admit to the fight with the cousin?

I've heard the blanket and sheet were pulled out of trailer and dog handlers used it as a scent to search for Haleigh. But,I can't find any video of them pulling it out and I wonder if it was left by culprit who took Haleigh.I can't see any LE that would take crime evidence and throw it over a rail,it would be part of a crimescene if it was on her bed and stay where it laid.IMO Does anyone know for sure if it was left by kidnapper or placed by LE or dog handlers? If it was a sheet and a blanket,Misty had said she placed a sheet over Haleigh till she washed her blanket, then when it was finished drying, she placed that over Haleigh.

Who was with the Great-grandma. She said "we" at least twice.

And we're still talking about 7 p.m. and you're right, not an independent person, though I'd be surprised if she is covering for someone.

At least Teresa Neves did.

The clothes I don't wonder at as our children's grandparents are constantly popping by with clothes. Either something new, something handed down from their other sets of grandchildren or something of ours that has been dirtied when the children were in their house and put into their laundry basket.

This is good to know. Thanks for posting it.

OT-Also important to go to an ER if you are struck by lightening. This happened to one of my daughters, she hit briefly while on her way home from a run. She seemed fine, but her pulse was high so we called the dr just to check. The response, go to the ER now, right now. They did all kinds of tests, and she was just fine. But the potential for long-term damage is there even without any immediate and/or physical symptoms.

Yep, still not a verification that Misty was home all night with the kids. The one thing I have a problem with is alot of families use coverup as a standard operating procedure. And in so many of these cases, we see the family has done this for years. Which is what led them to where they are today. I mean with Casey Anthony it started off as petty little stuff and progressed to murder.

ETA: I don't think Ron's family would cover up for Misty. But I think it's possible they'd cover up for Ron.

OT and a reminder that NG looks like it will be good tonight.

Thank you, Donjeta. I think this is interesting for a few reasons.

One, my understanding is that in the first weeks, GM Sykes didn't say anything at all about going over, and then it was another week or two before she added the part about Haleigh seeing her, etc. (?)

Two, in the interview with Greta (here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-z6jX8Xvmc )

...at 6:00, when Misty is asked who came over while Ron was at work, she says only the AC guy and her brother/kids. She says nothing about GMA Sykes coming over. :waitasec:

I don't really think anything happened to Haleigh before 7pm. I just have a strong doubt that the grandmother has this part correct. I actually tend to think she said it because she believed it was necessary for her to back up Misty's account, but it could have been just a matter of confusing her days.

Does anyone have the dates of each of GM's accounts handy? TIA!

It seems to me as the investigation progressed and LE verified things like with Ron's timecard with his employer, details were changed or added. IMO, the details of the bus stop and the 7pm visit could have been changed or added simply to give Ron an alibi.

I know it's hard to think that someone would lie about things like that, but people are capable of alot when they or their kids have done something really bad and facing life in prison and possibly the death penalty.
