Judging by the round table meeting between PCSO & the FBI that took place on Friday, I'd say she is no more a suspect than she was 3 months ago. They stated that there are no suspects, but no one has been eliminated.

Actually this is what the media reported:

No suspects were identified during the meeting, but nobody was eliminated.


That statement is subject to interpretation, imo.

IMO the significance of the bedtime, the movies, the kitchen light, the waking up and so on is that if there are a lot of insignificant little things that they can't get a consistent account on it may point to the story being at least partly untrue. If it's untrue, we may not necessarily assume that the MO of the crime fits the masked stranger in the middle of the night theory.

I don't think the time-line or inconsistencies is holding up the investigation. While I am sure that LE would love to have an exact time-line but that often is not what LE gets, so they work with what they have. They have a working time-line from 7pm to 3am.

I don't see where it would slow down the investigation if Misty put the children to bed at 8 or 10. Highly unlikely a perp would come in during that time frame. More likely it was after midnight.

Which movie were the children watching. I don't see how not knowing which movie the children were watching would impede the investigation. I doubt the perp sat down and watched a movie, and I would imagine whoever did this did it after midnight, after everybody in the house was asleep.

Did Misty get up to go pee or get a drink. What does it matter. She awoke for some reason and found Haleigh gone. How would knowing she went to pee or get a drink move the case forward or slow it down?

The kitchen light was on. Misty either left it on by accident, one of the children got up and turned it on, or the perp turned it on. I don't see how knowing if the light was left on or turned on would speed up or slow down the investigation. I am sure they took prints off of it.

Was the door locked or unlocked. Since the door did not appear to be broken then I presume either somebody left it unlocked or it was bumped. The first K-9 tracked out of that door so it must be the door the perp used. Would a locked door stop a perp? I don't think so and I don't think the door being locked or unlocked is going to stop the investigation from moving forward.

I have thought a lot about that Donjeta. I believe if the rest of her statements have been consistent...she was home, she was sleeping, the children ate dinner, she put them to bed, etc and her polys showed no deception on key questions, do you know what happened to Haleigh, did you hurt Haleigh, do you know if somebody hurt Haleigh, then I don't see how the other inconsistencies would slow down the investigation.

I am sure they garnered a lot from the polys and if Misty showed deception then LE should be worried about a lot more then if she got up to pee or get a drink.

That's just the way I have analyzed it in my head.

Honestly Blackwatch I am praying that LE knows a lot more then they are letting out to the public and that this investigation is not stalled.

If the investigation is stalled then I would say first it would be due to a lack of substantial evidence. Second it would be because there are so many angles to explore, predator, family member, revenge, etc. And third I would say that it is because of the "circus" of people that inserted themselves into this case giving out false leads, accusations, and pulling needed resources away from the investigation to deal with the side show.

Hmmmm, maybe if we take this one by one, it would help. What "false leads" are you referring to?

I am pretty sure that LE and especially the FBI is well trained to deal with the circus and sideshow that prresents itself in cases they deal with today.

As I've said before I trust that LE is being very careful about what they say and playing their cards very close to the vest. I do think we can spy clues from what they DO say, but that involves not being too literal - we need to think more expansively.

LE today is very careful not to identify their suspect as such (or a POI) until they have enough to satisfy the SA for charges. They have a suspect/s and POI/s, they just are not telling us yet.

We do not know the exact timeline because no one has definatively nailed down where HaLeigh was last seen. No reliable witnesses yet after the bus driver and parents. Where was she all afternoon? Where did she go from the bus? Who was with her? We really do not yet have a firm timeline from which to work. JMO and all that.:bang:

I know, LE hopefully has her pegged. Not just from the polys but they have talked to her lots more, we just have a few short interviews. I just don't understand why she'd be less than honest and forthcoming about meaningless little things if she's honest about what really matters, did you hurt Haleigh etc.
