I totally agree, If you do the math, she drove 2,834 miles in 5 days/5 hours, which works out to 545 miles per 24 hours. Do 18-wheeler drivers pile up that kind of mileage?

And that's with numerous stops and visits along the way: Her CA stops to pick up goodies from friends had to include some chat time. She was at Travis's a half day I believe. She spent some number of hours with Ryan as well - maybe spent the night, I don't recall. She probably had a detour in Nevada to set a little bonfire too. Remarkable.

I think all her CA stops themselves show premeditation. Given the limited number of days off she had, and the limited finances she had (wouldn't it have been cheaper in the end to drive her own car rather than pay $233.00 for a rental plus gas ?) Why would she go south since the primary agenda supposedly was to go check out Mr. Burns in Utah as a possible "romantic interest" ? The southerly track makes no sense in that respect. To me it shows she clearly had a trip to Arizona at the top of her agenda and made up the stops as excuses for why she had to take the southern route - total bs, total premeditation.

I'm calling BS on that whole story, I believe the phone was being held by mom or well hidden by Jodi somewhere else until she decided she could use it in her defence. I would LOVE to know more about that whole thing, but at this stage I think that's another example of Jodi controlling things from the inside.

I thought it was said earlier in the trial that her phone was found in Gus Searcy's vehicle. So I was surprised when she said it was found by her Aunt in her Dad's vehicle. Does anyone else remember that Gus Searcy had the phone?

I'm sorry if you guys have seen this but it's worth seeing again. This is utterly hilarious...check out this fantasy video of Jodi on the stand:

No matter how Jodi acts, she cannot possibly believe this is going well. Nope. I'll never believe it. Her Mother is sitting there watching Jodi flailing and drowning. That's very sad, too.

What a beautiful soul. He was such a good person and it shows on the outside. His eyes are clear, bright and full of goodness. JA's eyes are just the opposite. As someone said earlier she has shark eyes.

Also shows why she HAD to have him. He was the center of attention for all the right reasons, she wanted to be the center of attention too.

If something happened like this to my son....
I cannot even imagine the pain, nor do I want to.

It's been my experience that people who typically side with defendants and murderers don't generally have or use the capacity to empathize with surviving family members of the victim.

They do say a certain percentage of the population are sociopath and psychopath, they are everywhere!

I'm going to be a total mess when the verdict is read.
How many days do you guys think the trial will last before we get to that?

Considering it has taken more then three months to get to 29 days of actual trial testimony, awhile still...

What I'm not getting is, if she told people she was going to Arizona doesn't that speak for itself?

We know she told Daryl she was going and I forget who the other one was but....if she verbally acknowledged she was headed out there, isn't that in itself, premeditation?

I think it will go well into April. There is still so much before it goes to the jury. There is still finishing up the jury questions, and there are more in the box. Then both sides doing their follow up. Then whatever other Defense witnesses, and cross of them, maybe redirect. Then the rebuttal, then surrebuttal.....

Ok, maybe into May. :)

Dang. The juror's life really are put on hold.

I find it really hard to believe anyone out there doesn't think she's guilty of murder in the first degree. The gun, the gas cans, the phone turned off in arizona, the haircolor, the strange car... She's toast!

I agree..Bravo. How DARE they go this far with this defense? It's way off the charts imo. They asked for all the indignance they are getting from Juan. And in some ways he's just begining. These juror question recrosses are just gonna get better. Then he has the rebuttal case. Be careful what you ask for...he's gonna answer it ALL.

What Travis needed was a Champion and he sure got one.

Kati I am Not sure that juror questions now will get in. I also think that they will probably be sealed in case of an appeal. I just can't see that they can keep going with juror question again and again. It would be very interesting nonetheless. moo and I hope that I am wrong in my thinking.
