Interview with the two boys has been cancelled

I'd think the boys would welcome being out of the pressure cooker that they're surely in. The child specialists can question in the most unthreatening ways, with dolls, puppets, books, games. Everything they do is both observed and videotaped. Unless the boys had been coached/led to believe the process was threatening there's no reason to think it would be in any way traumatic.

I'm thoroughly disgusted by the family and their representatives. Finding Lisa is not, and has not been a priority and there can only be one reason why that is.

That is what I think might be going on! I never thought that the parents were in on this together, at least not at first... I have a feeling you are right, either one "figured out" the other is responsible, or one was covering for the other and is now turning on him/her.

Someone else mentioned that perhaps an arrest could be in the near future???

Yep, tension must be great between the two of them at this point, and the relatives too.

They aren't in their own home, they are having to live by others house rules, I can see that being very stressful. Nerves are probably strained to the MAX. MOO

I don't know, it just seems like something is up that we are, as usual, unaware of. Why cancel all these interviews? Something just seems really wrong with this picture. I hope an arrest is imminent, so that all of this will somehow fall into place.

So they were interviewed by LE the day after Lisa went missing? You would think one of the boys would have said something as there was no time to coach them. One was questioned for 30 minutes and the other for 50 minutes. I do wonder what questions were asked and how they answered them at that time.

Maybe they were the ones to already implicate DB and possibly JI. But perhaps LE wants more of a testimony from them to secure charges on DB and possibly JI.

I swear, I don't think they ever intended for the police to interview the boys. It made no sense. Why would the rents try and manipulate LE with demands for fresh detectives and a room for two, but let them have access to the only other occupants in the house, little kids who can't handle lying...meh...

If suddenly these lawyers pick one parent over another I think we will have an answer. They cannot possibly represent both parents unless they are both on the same plane. I think it is inevitable in the near future anyway if one is charged they can only represent one of the two.

IIRC, during the interview when the "defense team" was presented to the public, a journalist asked JT why he was representing both parents. His answer was that "both DB and JI had the same goal - to find their daughter." I thought from the get-go that this was a HUGE mistake because both parents were not (reportedly) in the home when Lisa "disappeared".

I'm not particularly enamored with the behaviors of either DB or JI, but I think that one of them is not responsible for whatever happened to Lisa and should seek his/her own Counsel before it's too late. jmo

The search warrant talked of inconsistencies. The boys would know who all was in that house and what was gong on. Mom is saying fairy tales and kittens...

I know that the interviews with the boys would be non-threatening and even therapeutic for them. I knew that.

But I guess I posted while upset at these <unusual> parents and somehow got sucked into a momentary vortex of archaic thinking that led me to think for a minute that it was better that these dear boys didn't have to undergo a possibly scary interview and swab test.

Like I said...tryin' hard to find the positive right now!

No parent who wanted their daughter found would listen to any advice that prevented them from getting more insight into where she might be. These people are not mentally challenged nor has anyone forced themselves upon them. Any parent who did not know where their baby was located and what was happening to her would be desperate for any piece of information that might help them find her; as quickly as possible. Hell, they are not desperate to know or else they would have asked the boys themselves pronto (many ways to do so without any traumatization).

I am not surprised at all by this latest maneuver, but I am now officially extremely pizzed off and so very heartbroken for Lisa. I am now also officially off the fence with Jeremy. Co-conspirator, not blind-sided schmuck. JMO.

I think it's about time LE took their gloves off and arrested DB for negligence, endangering the welfare of her children and lying to police officers. After that, get CPS to take those kids away and put them in foster care until they can find some family member who is responsible enough to take care of those children. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
