"The semen stains were found in two areas of the black vest top, on the upper right shoulder area close to the strap and at the bottom of the top, the Central Criminal Court in Dublin heard.

Marce Lee Gorman, of Forensic Science Ireland, examined the black top, which she said was torn and badly damaged, with parts of the fabric pulled and stretched."

My guess is that he is claiming that any sexual contact was consensual. Maybe he said he wiped himself with her top?

I guess it's some progress that Boy A is admitting he killed Ana ... but, Boy B still seems to be in complete denial.

I think this is because he didnt actually kill her or even cause her any physical harm, he clearly has no concept of the fact that he was complicit and he was the one who collected her from her house and delivered her to her fate. I imagine his father has perpetuated this notion continuously.
Maybe boy b is not technically guilty of murder but he is to blame too,he could have helped her at any point,he could have said no and not called at her house at all. He is equally culpable for her death IMO

I think the most logical explanation is she was dead or unconscious when the sexual assault or whatever it was took place. The semen on 2 areas of the top implys he had used it to clean up or whatever . I remember reading she had blood stains on the crotch of her leggings but he stripped her naked so I’m not sure how the blood would of got on the crotch? Unless that was unrelated to the murder..

Could be right that he stripped her afterwards,maybe some of the kicking etc was directed to her crotch area and caused the bleeding?, and some kind of sexual assault or solo sex act after the fact?.

The grandfather of Boy A said his family offered "sincerest regret and remorse" to the Kriégel family.

He described Mrs Kriégel's statement as eloquent and passionate.

He said Boy A "was and is a loving, caring and kind child" and that there "will be a great gap in all our (family) lives" depending on the sentence.

He said he hoped in the future to have a positive relationship with his grandson.

A lawyer for Boy B told the sentence hearing that his client disputed the jury's verdict.

'Remorse' for 'inactivity'
He said the boy and his father had fallen out over what happened and that explained the father's absence at the hearing.

He said the boy was not a risk for re-offending and was being treated for occasional suicidal tendencies.

He said that in his detention he had expressed "remorse" for his "inactivity" on the day.
