Ok that makes sense. When I first heard Misty talking about Ron's smiling face in his mug shot I thought she was proud of him, now I really think it was disbelief that he could be so different from her and her mugshot.

That's a good word to use. I had said disgusted but I like your d word better. Ohhhh wouldn't it be somethin' if she thought he was in on it with LE hence the smile in his mugshot (knowing he would be fine). She'd really be pizzed off than and start singin'!!

Over 2 years ago, my daughter & her boyfriend got each others names tatted on their bodies. What started out as an immature & stupid decision, turned into the biggest ordeal, you could imagine. Those name tattoos are symbolic of love, of belonging to each other, of never breaking up...no matter what would happen, she just couldn't get rid of it. Well, about 3 & a half months they got into a huge fight that resulted in them both going to jail for family violence. Since then, she has refused to see or talk to him, & he has moved another girl into his house. The fear, (& surety), of that girl getting pregnant, finally did the trick. She got it covered up, a few days ago. He still loves her & tries to see her, so when he finds out, he's gonna be devastated. I'm dreading it, because there's no telling what he will do. He will never understand her logic...he'll just see that she's moving on. I can say without a doubt, that that tattoo had more significance than a wedding ring. I feel Misty's pain. The divorce was nothing compared to this, & I'm sure the tat has made her more loyal than ever.

dodie so much of your post is dead on, especially the tattoo part being symbolic. I really believe they have a pact and the tattoo just enforced my belief on that. Based on that and the psychology of teenagers it may be years before that pact is broken. I remember someone saying a boy doesn't mature until at LEAST 32 and a woman doesn't start to get it until 30. I believe that. I know there are exceptions to the rule, but Ron and Misty's background and lack of morals only emphasize that. Haleigh was destined to have a messed up life with the cards she was dealt.Right now....I'm sad. for the lot of them and grateful for the morals and life I was given. It still doesn't bring Haleigh home and all the other missing kids that weren't given a chance. In this case it gets down to all of them starting with Teresa to someday START TELLING THE TRUTH. Break the chain, I'll drive the bus.

Didn't vote because I am unsure about the tattoo, but one thing I do have a little insight about is the "love". I don't know Misty personally, but I have seen the allure of drugs and what happens to the heart and soul of those who use them and develop a dependency upon them. I believe they love only their high(or low).

And let's not forget that people often become addicted to other people the same way that they become addicted drugs.
. All the emotionality we are hearing from Misty right now is not love in my opinion, it is just another symptom of a bigger problem in Misty, her dependencies. Right now she is behind bars and doesn't have access to her drugs of choice, so she fills that void with thoughts of Ronald, who either gives her a high or low, depending upon her thought process. No love there for each other in my opinion, in either of them.

And she's only 18. Sheesh. That's still adolescent infatuation.

IMHO.I highly suspect Haleigh is deceased and will never experience being 18 or the feelings attached to having an adolescent infatuation.

One would think Misty would have grown up after what she experienced last February 9, 2009 but it's apparent she didn't since she has done nothing but lie for over a year now... So be it, but IMHO Misty is no longer entitled to have any adolescent infatuations or use her age as an excuse for her behavior....JMO...

It sure does. Misty told her mother that Rob is/was her first love so perhaps Ron was jealous of Misty's love for Rob and this is why he wanted his name tattooed on her body. I think Misty should have stood up to Ronald and refused his request unless or until he agreed to do the same.

yeah, those tattoos are weird. & the girl usually gets the name in an intimate place-so if she does get with another guy, he'll have to read some other guy's name. for a normal guy, that would be a complete turn-off. yeah, I think Ron was very manipulative in this. he knew that it would bond Misty to him.

I agree that what Misty feels for Ronald, probably isn't 'real' love, but I think she believes it is love, so it really doesn't make much difference. I remember being young & in love. It was very emotional & intense-much stronger than an adult love. & to be honest, I never want to feel like that again, lol.

Love would've been all of the justification I needed. Emeralgem, those lyrics made me think of a song that was popular when I was young. Pretty soon it will be two months of incarceration and so far, misty and ronald aren't talking. She is his puppet and he pulls the strings. I do not expect either of these two to ever talk.

rc is the perfect personality for prison. he is exactly where he belongs. Misty will adjust and one day call the shots in her little gang group.

If they were placed in true solitary, things would be very different. They will not be placed in it though....have to earn that status now...

....I hope that comes sooner rather than later.

It's okay to disagree... But there are many, many kinds of love. She may not be IN love, but I think she does love him. Why else would she be protecting him? She's barely 18... love is easy to fall into when you're that age. At my age, you're lucky if you even LIKE the person you live with. :crazy:

As for the last line of that song.... that depends on whether the person WANTS to be free. But it is awfully hard to let go when you have strong feelings for someone. Been there, done that.
