I think the biggest problem with this one is how slow it's moving.
So longer periods of heavy winds and rain.
Could be devastating for low areas (most of Louisiana).

Praying for everybody.

WATCH LIVE: NWLA Storm Support Operations update at 3:00 p.m.
The Caddo Bossier Office of Homeland Security will hold a Northwest Louisiana Storm Support Operations update at the Bossier Emergency Operations Center at 3:00 p.m.

CBOHSEP Director Sandy Davis will discuss the latest information available on how Tropical Storm Isaac could impact the area, including preparations for severe weather and sheltering plans for evacuees, should that become necessary.

Time to batten down the hatches. Thinking of everyone in Issac's path. Y'all be safe.

Here's what happened to us and I still see clouds zooming through the sky and hear thunder.

So glad that you are okay BB. We're getting hammered with heavy rain right now from the North...don't know how this band of thunderstorms will interact with Isaac since it looks like they will continue to move to the South toward the coast. We're getting a lot of thunder and lightening and torrents of rain.

Everyone please be safe, please heed the warnings, Isaac will be no one's surprise as there has been plenty of warning.

Oh Lord. My husband's company "postponed" all vacation and days off. They seem to think that the men who work for them in Lafayette should be available to protect the shop and equipment. Uh, those men have homes, families and pets!!

He wants me to go buy gas and stock up the groceries....

And we were supposed to leave tomorrow for a vacation trip to Philadelphia....me no happy. no happy.

Hurricane Hunters report a 20 mile wide eye is developing in Isaac. Combined with the reported pressure fall and wind speed increase, it appears the rate of intensification is increasing. We should see an upgrade to Hurricane Isaac at 4 PM CDT.

ETA Katrina's eye was 32 miles wide.

Yes BeyondBelief, it isn't being reported much on the news but the feeder bands that were forming the eye of the Hurricane broke away and made like a mini-hurricane of their own which has been stradling over east Florida since yesterday. It should have been long gone but it's not!

People near New Orleans bear this in mind....these storms can do funky things for sure!

Mini hurricanes? Yikes.

It was a training band that was 190 miles long that originated out of Cuba, that stalled on Floridas east coast. What a mess it left behind. :(

well I'm surprised they didn't say a cat 1 with it on the edge. I think the next report will be at 8pm.

They did say they (the hurricane center) is now expecting it to hit as a cat 2. From the ways twc was talking, maybe a strong 2

Thoughts and prayers for all in the path of Isaac.

Be safe!
