Southern Gaza is becoming a “breeding ground for epidemics and disease” as heavy winter rains increase the risk of waterborne diseases amid Palestinian civilians already living in dire conditions, an international charity has warned.
No wonder, as I wrote before.
Another Mariupol :(
Corpses lying not buried.
What a shame!

At least eight Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, Reuters reported, citing Palestinian medics and local media.

That’s how specialised it is and needs to be. That’s why I didn’t think the doctors were exaggerating when they were saying it was not safe to move them. It really wasn’t. I hope they can travel safely and be looked after well, hopefully some of the damage can be undone. :(
In my opinion, it would depend on how premature they were. If they were close to full-term, not as big an issue.

Kirby underscored that the US does not support strikes against hospitals, and that Hamas’ actions in the hospitals “do not lessen Israel’s responsibilities to protect civilians”. He said:

To be clear, we do not support striking a hospital from the air. We do not want to see a firefight in a hospital where innocent people, helpless people, sick people are simply trying to get the medical care they deserve.

You don't think the UK is a democracy?

Separation of religion and state is a complex matter. Below is a good research study by the PEW Center on the degrees of separation of religion and state in countries around the world. As with most matters, it's complicated.

BBM. My opinion as an American is that our government should stay out of religion whether it is here or in other countries. I find ethnic cleansing reprehensible, and I sure don't want my tax dollars supporting any government that engages in it.

Despite the UN calling for Palestinian refugee return and property restitution, Israel has continued to deny the rights of Palestinians and carry out an apartheid for 75 years. The anniversary of the Nakba serves as a painful acknowledgment of the generational and ongoing trauma that Palestinians face both on their occupied land and outside the region.

“Gaza Nakba 2023,” Dichter said. “That’s how it’ll end.”

The UN secretary general, António Guterres, is “deeply disturbed” by the “dramatic loss of life” in several hospitals in Gaza, according to his spokesperson. They added:

In the name of humanity, the secretary-general calls for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire.

The group Human Rights Watch said earlier that an Israeli strike in Lebanon that killed three children and their grandmother just over a week ago should be investigated as an "apparent war crime". The family were travelling in southern Lebanon when their car was hit on 5 November, Lebanese state media said.

Human Rights Watch has now said it found no evidence of any military targets in the area and that the strike was unlawful - with the group's researcher Ramzi Kaiss saying it showed a "reckless disregard for human life".

Are these babies orphans?
If not, are parents coming too?
My God - what a "welcome" to this world :(
Let's hope the someone will be able to accompany the babies. The evacuation of the children with cancer included a caregiver.

More than a dozen children with cancer or other serious blood disorders have been safely evacuated from Gaza after weeks of difficult negotiations involving the U.S., Egypt, Israel and Hamas — but more than 30 remain in the war-torn territory, three doctors involved in the effort tell NBC News.

The children, accompanied by parents or companions, were evacuated from the Al-Rantisi Specialized Hospital for Children to hospitals in Egypt and Jordan, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the World Health Organization said Friday.

Calls for help from civilians trapped in northern Gaza are "going unanswered," UN human rights agency says

"Desperate calls and urgent appeals are being made by civilians who are unable to move from the buildings where they are sheltering because of the presence of Israeli troops, ongoing ground battles or who have been caught in collapsed buildings," the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said in a statement Tuesday.

The United States would support an independent third party conducting the evacuations of patients from hospitals in Gaza, State Department spokesperson Matt Miller said Tuesday, adding the US is in conversation with a number of humanitarian organizations and third parties about just that.

But various factors are complicating negotiation efforts: One of the complications in the ongoing talks has been verifying the list of names of both hostages and Palestinian prisoners that Hamas and Israel would respectively release as part of the deal, two officials told CNN. Israel wants to make sure none of the prisoners released are connected to Hamas and the country has been scrutinizing names proposed as part of the process.

Another factor that had slowed talks was a lack of information about the hostages Hamas is holding. Because other groups in Gaza, like Islamic Jihad, are believed to have taken hostages, it wasn’t clear to negotiators who exactly Hamas would be able to release as part of a deal.
