That is half of the reality. Palestinians have pulled stunts over the years- including attempted coups and "out gunning and out drive bying" local criminal rivals. So... welcome mats have been rolled up.

But.... there are millions of Palestinians living in other Arab countries. For example, Lebanon has hundreds of thousands. Palestinians in Lebanon - Wikipedia

Yes.
And, for this to be working out peacefully (& I don't know if this is the case, it certainly could be !); anyone who is raised with and supports Hamas' way of thinking ... would have to change and think differently.
For example -- learning to live alongside neighbors who are different from yourselves, and respect others and not murdering anyone ... would be a good place to start.

I'm curious with the other Arab nations you mention, how do they deal with a "Hamas' style of attack", if it happens ?
Prison , expulsion, executions ?
And would they be expected to show restraint in that case ?
I don't think the Wiki link re. Palestinians in Lebanon goes into too much depth.

And yet as your post concludes, there are many who can live peacefully.

Looking at Gaza in particular, I do wonder if some of them have raised their kids from kindergarten on up, with a dangerous mindset -- and thus this makes many of them more difficult to be able to settle down peacefully in other countries ?

Those are high temps. Humidity is low and nightly lows are in the low 60's.

Most incubators are usually set to 98.6.

If you are used to hot, those night temps can feel chilly. Also, humidity is relatively low.

They say temps in the Med region tend to ""follow the sun".
It's also the rainy season.

I'm here in Texas, it was 61 last night, and I wore a winter coat and stocking cap. I'm also from Wisconsin and can deal with cold.

Yes, there are plenty hardy people who are fine in tents, but there are also kids and older folks who need shoes, clothes, blankets etc. Also many have loss weight. This decreases cold tolerance.

Thanks for your empathy.

I actually feel really sorry for most. Generation after Generation of refugees live in "camps" - never achieving citizenship in any country.
I think that is their misfortune of living in the Middle East.

Many Middle Eastern countries dont really have an immigrant tradition. Rather, they operate strictly under olde school lines of thought of a "tribal nation". In past generation, many European nations had the same line of thought. So do some Asian nations like Japan, Korea etc:

- Nobody becomes say, Lebanese, Saudi, Kuwaiti etc.. You either are, or you are not. Syria is for Syrians- thats why its called....."Syria".

- The fact that you may look like us, speak a dialect of the same language, and are either Muslim or are an indigenous Christian from historical churches (Many Middle Eastern countries have such Christians) does not matter.

Then factor in in oil and Gulf States. All have a practice that each and every citizen gets a cut of oil profits and... the more citizens, the smaller the cuts get. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Emirates, Bahrain then go "tribal" X10 in regards to citizenship.

The tunnels so many deny.

Pentagon spokesperson also reads a statement declassifying US intelligence assessment on Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and their use of hospitals. “We do have information that Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad use some hospitals in the Gaza Strip, including the Al Shifa Hospital, as a way to conceal and support their military operations and hold hostages. They have tunnels underneath these hospitals. Hamas and PIJ members operate a command and control node from Al Shifa hospital in Gaza city, they have weapons stored there, and are prepared to respond to an Israeli military operation against the facility.”

Israel plans to allow trucks used by the UN Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA) in Gaza to refuel at the Rafah crossing on Wednesday, according to four U.S. and Israeli sources

A senior Israeli official said Israel's decision to allow UN trucks to refuel was made at the request of the Biden administration and in coordination with Israeli security services.

I think that could well be a contributing factor. There could be other factors that make Gaza a tough place to find low maintenance potential immigrants:

- Unemployment is sky high. So, alot of Gazan young men have no job skills.

- Gazans have little real knowledge of how the outside world truly works. Thus: Well, we have a mafia (HAMAS) presence. The best way to success is to.... A. Join a Mafia. B. Get enough fighters together and diy a "better" one

- Brain Drain: Highly educated Gazans can find ways to legally leave. They then take their BAD skills with them: Brains, Ability and Determination. The brain drain then causes negative spin offs which leads to more problems.

- As you stated, an educational program centered more on vengeance ideaology rather than writing, reading and 'rithmatic.

Babys are hanging in !!!! No PROPER evacuation plan per doctor.
Egypt has ask for the names. Sounds like the plan maybe to ship out to Egypt or maybe to the new mobile hospital. Moo

36 neonatal babies still alive at Al-Shifa, surgeon says, but still no evacuation plan
Erin McLaughlin
TEL AVIV — Despite the lack of resources, 36 babies requiring neonatal care at Al-Shifa hospital are still alive, plastic surgeon Dr. Ahmed El Mokhallalati told NBC News.

The Israeli military said it was working on getting portable incubators to help the infants at Al-Shifa, but El Mokhallalati said he believes they will still need electricity the hospital cannot afford to give.

The babies need evacuation to a place where they can get proper care, but the IDF has not given them permission to move the children out of Gaza City or a plan to do so, he added.

"We didn't receive anything as a proper offer to evacuate the patients yet — the babies yet — no one has offered anything," El Mokhallalati said. "The only beginning of talks were from the Egyptian side saying how many do you have? What are their names?"

That's great news but will it really happen?

From your link:
  • "It is unbelievable that humanitarian agencies have to beg for fuel and operate on life support. Since the beginning of the war, fuel has been used as a weapon of war and this should stop immediately."

The remaining patients, doctors and families have been evacuated from al-Quds hospital in northern Gaza, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said.

Correct— if the US asks Israel to de-escalate or stand down— there is absolutely no incentive for Israel to do so because they are already receiving billions of dollars in aid. With no strings attached, it appears.

Not all of us are ok with the funds being spent to kill/harm civilians.

I know allowing fuel in is not exactly "standing down", but it  is a concession, so apparently Israel  can be swayed by the US. jmo
