The Daily Mail is reporting that Ashley's boyfriend had scratches on his knuckles:

"Police have confirmed that he had scratches across both knuckles, but he said that these were sustained as he battled to save his girlfriend's life.Fiorentini was interrogated overnight by police and released without charge in the morning."

Hmmmmmmm

WHAAA??? He battled to save his girlfriend's life?

HUH?

I think he is saying that when he found her body and went to give her CPR and try to save her, he sustained those scratches.

I found some news articles from Italy that explain what he says happened when he found her. Here's the link to the English translated version - https://translate.google.com/transl..._di_poterla_rianimare_-130982759/&prev=search

From the link:

"I tried to save her, I saw her on the bed and I raised, bringing it to the center of the room. Then I did mouth-to-mouth." Federico Fiorentini yesterday afternoon he returned home after interrogation at the police station, where he told police to love Ashley."

and

"In those moments excited, man, he would also slightly injured his hands."

The translation isn't the greatest.

well, that all sounds a little suspect to me. First of all, she was dead for quite awhile before he 'discovered' her. I bet it was pretty obvious she was beyond CPR. I think that might have been to disguise any future forensics tests.

And getting the landlord to enter with him, another keen trick. Isn't it often done that way?

I don't see how one's knuckles get scratched giving a dead woman phony 'life -saving' procedures.

Really want to hear what his alibi is ….

Also, if your girl friend is mad at you after a fight, why have the landlord enter the apartment? Wouldn't one assume she was angry and not speaking? Why did he assume she was dead or injured in the apartment?

I completely agree with both of your posts. I thought of that too - the first thing you would think after an argument is that she is ignoring you, or no longer wants to speak to you. You wouldn't assume that something bad happened to her and go barging into her apartment.

And yeah, the whole moving of the body is definitely bizarre too, especially if she had been deceased for awhile.

And the scratches on the knuckles. And the landlord being with you when you find her.

All very interesting.

I agree the bf looks a bit suspect, but there was just another case here, Andrea Caruth, where everyone immediately suspected the bf and it turned out it was her own father. Not in any way saying this is the case here, but I hold my judgement for now.

Very sad case. She seemed so full of life and love for life. Poor little Scout was sitting by her side for a whole night or more. :(

RIP Ashley.

Perhaps the Landlord could clear up how one sustains knuckle injuries performing life saving measures on a deceased person. Unless he was sent of course to call 911. Hinky unless poor reporting early in :gaah:

The murderer of an American artist found dead in her Italian apartment used bare hands to strangle her to death, Daily Mail Online has learned.

Ashley Ann Olsen, 35, was found naked with scratches and bruises on her neck on Saturday in the apartment where she lived in central Florence.

An autopsy is being carried out, but medics have already established that she was strangled, and that no implement was used in her death, the source said.

The source also confirmed that Olsen's body showed no sign that she had engaged in a struggle before being killed.

I'll wait for DNA evidence before I'll weigh in on what I think. It could be several things as they stand now.

I don't understand - "no sign that she had engaged in a struggle" yet there were scratches and bruises on her neck?

They probably mean apart from those scratches and bruises no other signs were found?

It could be she had consensual sex (she was naked) and they had some extreme kinky stuff going, which went wrong?

Federico Fiorentini, a 42-year-old Italian artist, had fought a few days earlier, but prosecutors said he had an alibi corroborated by witnesses for the time when they think Olsen was killed.

Detective leading case is Domenico Giancinto Profazio, who also led probe into death of Meredith Kercher, leading to Amanda Knox's conviction

:rose: RIP Ashley :rose:

also:

The office of the prosecutor in charge of the investigation, Giuseppe Creazzo, said that Olsen had apparently opened the door to her killer, as police did not find any sign of forced entry.

The police also confirmed that the killer took Olsen's mobile phone, making the subsequent investigation more difficult.

Overnight, graffiti appeared at the scene of the crime saying: 'He is guilty, he will pay for this.' It is unclear to whom this message referred, but it raises the possibility that people within this close-knit, Bohemian community may be holding information that may prove key to the case.

A black bra was found in the street outside the scene of the crime, and was removed by police.

Keeping an open mind, but it really does not look good for boyfriend.

Keeping an open mind, but it really does not look good for boyfriend.

That's what I keep thinking---but what about the witnesses to his alibi? It seems he has a solid one.

But so much of the other stuff seems so hinky.

I wish I had more confidence in the lead investigator.

It is my understanding that Ashley was leaving or had already left her boyfriend. The strangulation with no signs of struggle suggest to me that she was possibly strangled during sex. It is not entirely uncommom for people to experiment with asphyxia during sex, though not to the point of death, of course. She also could have been drugged or passed out when the strangulation took place, thus no signs of a struggle. I don't buy the knuckle scratches during CPR statement. There would be no need to drag one's knuckles on the floor when trying to revive someone. I believe the victim would be the one to potentially sustain bruising. And several of Ashley's photos on Instagram are of spray painted messages around Florence that seemed to be for her. Interesting that now one was done outside her place pointing the finger at one particular man. The truth is coming.

And the same investigator that went after Amanda Knox? No words... MOO.

A lot more information about where Ashley was just before she died.

Ashley Olsen, the 35-year-old American woman found strangled to death in Florence, Italy, was last seen alive inside a seedy club known for drugs, sex and violence, Daily Mail Online can reveal.
On Thursday night, after an evening of hard drinking in various bars in Oltre Arno – one of Florence’s trendiest districts – Olsen headed to the Montecarla club, an insalubrious members-only establishment owned by Jovo Vukelic, a Serbian known for his long, dark hair and white jackets.
The dimly-lit club, which spans two floors and is open only to members and those known to the proprietor, has reclining areas that are almost like beds, strewn with leopard-print cushions and velour drapes. Waitresses dress in provocative, leather costumes

Vukelic, the proprietor, told Daily Mail Online that he had no idea who had killed Olsen. ‘I was not here on the night she disappeared,’ he said, ‘and the CCTV camera at the entrance is not working.’

Police suspect that Olsen might have been killed by someone she met inside the club in the early hours of Friday morning and invited home for sex

How would one sustain scratches across their knuckles related to finding their partner deceased? Scratches sound more like a victim fighting for their life. Wonder what they'll find under her fingernails in terms of DNA. Hmmmm. JMO

The way she was found (naked, etc) could have been purposely done by the killer in an attempt to disrespect the body, imagining how devastated she'd feel to be 'found that way', an intentional act of hatred and rage and disrespect....which then says to me her murder was very 'personal.'

I don't understand - "no sign that she had engaged in a struggle" yet there were scratches and bruises on her neck?

WOW!
I was in Florence last week!
Does not look good for the boyfriend. But....that club. Yikes!

Maybe the boyfriend needed the landlord to open the door because he didn't have a key.
