President Barack Obama will take his first official trip to Brazil this weekend where he will speak in the popular Cinelandia Square in downtown Rio de Janeiro. Access, of course, will be tightly restricted and security measures so secretive that not even the Embassy or US Consulate in Rio know exactly who it’s all going to go down.

ABC News' Kirit Radia and Alex Marquardt report:

A coalition of six youth groups that emerged from Egypt’s revolution last month has refused to meet with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who arrived in Cairo earlier today, in protest of the United States’ strong support for former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak who was ousted by the uprising.

Obama Heads to Rio Sunday; Maximum Security Awaits

Where is the president? The world is beset. Moammar Khadafy is moving relentlessly to crush the Libyan revolt that once promised the overthrow of one of the world's most despicable regimes.

So where is the president?

Japan may be on the verge of a disaster that dwarfs any we have yet seen. A self-governing nation like the United States needs its leader to take full measure of his position at times of crises when the path forward is no longer clear.

This is not a time for leadership; this is the time for leadership.

So where is Barack Obama?

WASHINGTON — March Madness is back at the White House, and President Barack Obama is picking the top seeds to advance to the Final Four.

For the third straight year, Obama has filled out an NCAA tournament bracket for ESPN. He says Duke, Kansas, Ohio State and Pittsburgh will make the men's Final Four.

I think the worse I have seen so far this morning is that radiation was detected in the tap water. That means it has gotten into the ground. Animals, plants are ingesting this now which contaminates the food chain.

What gets me is they say radiation levels were high and then went back down. Oh really? And how does THAT happen? The radiation is either floating away on the wind or sinking into the ground and the water tables.

Germany's Lufthansa airline became the first major carrier to cancel flights to Narita International Airport, which services Tokyo, and will reroute all flights through Nagoya and Osaka, some 300 miles south of the capitol. Dutch carrier KLM followed.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said, "There is no credible information available at this point indicating" a need to avoid Narita airport.

It's probably a combination of both. It's my belief when "radiation floats away," it drops little bits of poison along the way. Could be wrong, but. . .

I heard or read somewhere last night that the "used" water from these reactors and spent fuel pools is being dumped into the ocean. That can't be good either. Now I thought that the water evaporated off which is why they need to keep adding water but at this point WTH knows!

'Be prepared': U.S. Surgeon General's warning as terrified Americans panic-buy anti-radiation drugs over nuclear fall-out fears

Quote: Company president Alan Morris said the firm was getting three orders per minute for the $10 Iosat packages - compared to the normal rate of as low as three per week.

‘Those who don't get it are crying,’ he told the Wall Street Journal. ‘They're terrified.’

Ok I got a question for all of you (us).

What do you think we will be told about any possible radiation cloud if one does happen? Do you think we will all be kept in the dark - except for the internet and what "others" say? And, of course, anyone trying to tell the truth and warn people will be "poo-pooed" by the gov't.

Do you think we will be told anything or warned at all or will they all cover it up and hope the cloud just "floats" by?

I dunno, the earth just speed up 1.6 seconds per day. I havent seen anything about the axis shift and Obama doesnt really care to give us any word on anything.

I am gonna have to get back with you on your question Wise Old Owl.

I think I want to just see if we even will still be arround then. I have to look for facts on the conspiracy boards. :waitasec:
