JLM Charged in 2005 Farifax Rape Case

His father has already stated through a friend (http://wtvr.com/2014/10/20/hannah-graham-suspect-lived-near-where-human-remains-were-discovered/) that "he is heartbroken for Hannah’s family and his own, as they come to grips with mounting serious allegations against their son who so many thought they knew."

Tis case is reminding me of the case of Richard Daniel (Danny) Starrett. An all American guy, clean record (although here that's a bit different), but popular and seemingly clean as a whistle.

He was a serial rapist and murderer with torture/slave fantasies that were escalating.

It appears a lot of these serial rapist/murderers have a veneer of normalcy that's quite hard to see through. Scaaaary.

I am new here so not sure how to find it, but if I can, I'll quote it back here. I think LE used some of the information she posted here, which was a really good timeline. So much for him being a teddy bear, a sweet, gentle giant. I believe this guy has been doing this for years, and has many victims. The Fairfax victim is one who got away, and thank God for that, she can positively identify him and testify against him when the time comes. He needs to be off the street for good. IMO

I'll bet her survival is why he started targeting intoxicated girls.

Question:

Do we know why JM happened to be in Fairfax, VA, that night in late September 2005, when the young woman was attacked? It is quite a distance from Charlottesville!

Did he have an address in that area at that time? If so, why? Was he in college? Did he have a job? Etc.

Please forgive me if this info has been available and I have somehow missed it. I've been focused on the WS threads dealing with the search for Hannah. . . .

I have been asking the same question. If he has no apparent connection to Fairfax, this becomes even more frightening. The possible area in which he may have committed horrific crimes is enormous.

His wanted poster mentioned connections in MD, PA, and DC. Fairfax would be en route to all and very close to DC. Perhaps he traveled a lot.

ETA: 2005 is also the year he obtained his taxi license. There are often runs between Charlottesville airport and Richmond or Dulles Airport (DC) when flights are delayed, etc.

Is it wrong that I'm ecstatic? That now I know this monster will never see the light of day? That this brave woman has pursued this and that the detectives never let it go.

Finally, there will be justice for this woman, Morgan and Hannah. And I pray they are able to find any other victims he has left in his wake.

I also wondered about a possible GMU connection. I googled to see if I could find any events at the Patriot Center for that evening (September 24, 2005). So far I've found there was a men's soccer game and a concert (Googoosh & Mehrdad?). Neither seems promising IMO.

I think the idea that JM might have been in/around Fairfax on Saturday, September 24, 2005 (the night of the assault/rape) because of his football schedule makes a lot of sense. Plus the idea that perhaps he was registered at an area hotel/motel that night seems like something LE should be tracking. And special thanks to Shutterbug for tracing back your earlier posts and determining that apparentlly there has been no info about the reasons for JM being in Fairfax that night.

It is horrifying. It takes my thoughts to places........I cant help but wonder if he is a sexual sadist. Did he just not have time to complete a rape himself? Or was it simply an appendage he used and was scared off before it progressed?

I have to confess that at first I thought the speed with which everyone came to the conclusion that he was a serial killer and a rapist was alarming and I thought there was a chance he wasn't guilty of anything but hitting on a college girl. Boy was I wrong. :bananalama:

This is incredible; to think a little over a month ago that we'd be here today would be far fetched. I always had a hunch that Sketch looked like JLM when we saw that first shot of him. Now this indictment, and the sad truth of HG and her discovery, VA may finally be safe from this terror.

I still fear there are other victims and she is the only one who has ever lived after being assaulted by him.

With the exception of the two college students who didn't press charges. I hope they will come forward at some point. It would be healing for me if I were in their shoes, I think.
