Finally! I found it. It was on cross when Dr Horn was testifying, he said he doesn't think the GS is a contact wound because there is no stippling or a star shaped tear but when he clarifies to Willmont (sp) he says there could have been something in between Travis and the gun. He gave examples of a towel or some kind of garment.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qncRtqeluHU"]Jodi Arias Murder Trial day 3 part 3. Please be warned, very graphic photos. ME on stand. - YouTube[/ame] about 10 to 12 minutes in.

Based on this my working theory is..

- There was no rope. The tassel fragments we've seen were parts of a pillow used to muffle the GS

- she wasn't feet away from an already dead/nearly dead Travis but right at his head.

- Her purpose was two fold: to make it look like two people committed the murder and to make triple sure he did not survive and implicate her.

First of all, I have seen many comments here about a .25 from female posters who may say that their husband does not think that a man would own a .25

I think that is bull, I own a .25 and have a .380 for back up. .25's are popular due to their size and ability to carry without notice. I use to drive with my .25 under my leg, thank god it never went off accidentally.

As to your questions, I would not have been compliant with Jodi having a .25 trained on me, I would have tried to talk and from what we know Jodi does like to talk. I would have done my best to appeal to her. I would be like a negotiator and yes I would rush her but only when I was confidant to overtake her

The only people I know that have .25s are females. My hubby would laugh if I told him to get a .25. He has a permit to carry and has a glock with a shoulder holster. No need for backup. We go to the firing range quite often. Never once in 30 years saw a man with a .25.

You cant talk to someone who has spent over a week premeditating how they are going to murder you when they have driven hundreds of miles to do just that.

She was going to murder him..........she planned..........plotted and did it and moved on to dry hump Burns. All the talking in the world wasnt going to stop those repeated stabs, slit throat and shot to the head. He never stood a chance.

IMO

I don't think there was time for that. She was a determined killer. I don't think she wanted to negotiate. Once she started, she was going to finish it.

I think we're getting a glimpse of what KC would've looked like on the stand.

Casey was more intelligent and was capable of keeping her story straight for long periods of time. She was also a far better actress for the jury.

I always thought the order of events were important because the defense team wanted to prove that he was shot first so he couldn't have been alive or aware during the rest. I thought they thought they could convince the jury that it wasn't cruel and worthy of the death penalty. Then she gets on the stand and tells this story and says things like "He just wouldn't stop" I think that is true, but he wouldn't stop fighting for his life, not hers. If I were to accidentally shoot someone in the head I'm pretty sure my first thought would be "Oh my gosh are you okay? I need to get help!" Not "Oh crap, now he's really going to be pissed."

"A five year old could hold a camera better than you." Really? Kind of a random thing, but I believe he might have said something similar at some point and it really got to her because she is that full of herself.

Maybe its just me, but if I were being attacked and trying to stop them and get away I'd be saying things like "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!", "Please stop!" I'd be begging and pleading for them to stop. She mentioned nothing like that, did she?

I know I don't really need to pick apart her story because we already know it is b.s., but those things have really bugged me. I hope the jury feels like she is insulting their intelligence as much as we do.

haha me too... My hubby bought me a .25 when I first got my CWP.. I was used to shooting our long nose .357 magnum and the. 25 obviously just didn't even compare IMO.. hubby later got me a .380 which I very much like and obviously prefer to my little .25..(tho, I do still own the .25 as well).

**OK, I know.. I know.. completely off topic..my apologies.

Not sure. My computer is acting crazy tonight. I keep losing the connection to websleuths.

Me too! I always panic.... Fear of a time out....

Between the time of the last photograph [about 530pm] and the time of the first ping on the cell phone [about 1130 pm] is around six hours. The driving time from Mesa to Kingsman is around 3 hours.

Therefore, she could have spent up to 3 hours [roughly] cleaning up the house.

Has anyone worked out these numbers? I still haven't had the time to go look at the Verizon testimony.

What time did Travis' roommate arrive home?

:waitasec:

That's too funny! I was quizzing my husband earlier about men's shaving habits - before shower, in the shower, or after shower. His response was, "What did you read now...?"

I dragged mine around on the tile floor to see if I could!

He's hoping for a pop rocks experiment! Lol

I spent some time reading through reports this afternoon and one thing that I don't remember hearing about has to do with the roommate, Zach's, timeline. He stated to Florez in a follow up interview that he went home for about an hour on the 4th, which was his day off, between 3-4 iirc, and did not notice any strange vehicles parked around the neighborhood. Jodi said she parked in the driveway (like she always did when she went to visit Travis).

she lied.

ahem... imo.

Back in the 1800's there was this thing called "Blood Atonement." Check it out. It describes this ear to ear slicing. Jodi wanted him to pay for his transgressions and sliced him from ear to ear. Maybe she wanted it to look like someone else did it, maybe a jealous ex-boyfriend or Jodi mentioned he might have had interest in a married Mormon woman.

There is a case here on WS about a missing girl named Brittney Wood. In that case her uncle committed suicide with her gun. One shot, it was a .25. He did not die immidiately. However, he did not wake up and he DID have medical attention which did him no good whatsoever. You don't have to look far to see that a .25 isn't exactly a BB gun

Absolutely you can kill yourself with a 25 caliber. The chance at survival with a gunshot wound to the head 25 caliber, in general is front lobe and more specific front right lobe.

Mid to back to center lower.. or through the mouth straight back. no, chances are not good at all.

It's easy to be a "ninja" (Jodi's fave) when it's a hypothetical scenario. Given the time frame there was little to no opportunity for "negotiation," she was all business.
