most interesting by far: she has money trouble but buys breast implants, she becomes distant, she bails the house and leaves him with it, she calls him hysterical in June saying Travis is dead and she "DOESN'T HAVE AN ALIBI".. oh and she returns to "GIVE HIM A REMOTE"

hate to interrupt the flow of brilliance here, but before this thread gets too long can someone please tell me how to display 100 posts per page? I thought I saw someone suggest that to someone who had a problem keeping up with so many pages back in one of the earlier threads but I can't find the post or instructions anywhere. TIA!

p.s. y'all totally ROCK!:rocker: I am learning sooooo much!

Sorry, I am absolutely NO help on that stuff, but I know someone here will help you.

When JA was arrested for murder, the court set her bail at $2 Million secured. When they arrested her she was packing. Did they not think she was a flight risk? What factors would have gone into setting bail? TIA

Judging by the high amount, it appears there were considerations. Wouldn't be able to post it.

MOO

And herself.. I think she took a shower before she push/shoved him in the shower tip toeing into the closet, getting into clean clothes and exiting via the bedroom down the stairs and out the door.

The reason I say this because there is no blood after the one spot at the entrance to his bedroom from the bathroom hallway. She would have too much blood on her to keep from dripping and/or smearing it on items on the way out the door.

JMHO

Interesting. I don't know why it didn't cross my mind that she showered before placing Travis's body into the stall. Plus, she does mention taking a shower in her testimony.

she would have to shower while in shower I would think only because he had to have been a bloody mess....:moo:

Or, perhaps she was behind him, standing over him dragging him down the hall, back of his head resting against her shins. When she got to where the hall meets with the bathroom, she reached over and picked up the gun (or, grabbed it out of her purse - or picked it up off the sink counter) and gave one last death blow shot, before shoving him into the shower stall.

This is the first thread EVER! That I have caught up with, in real time :great: (okay, so it is only a page long, but you all are super fast!). Heck, I'm just lucky to get a post in before thread closure.

I can't bring myself to look at the crime scene photos - but was he slumped right side facing out? If so, she could have shot him after returning him to the shower stall...

I wonder if the bullet at the scene matched the ones grandaddy had at home. Was ammo stolen too or just the gun?

I have one question since the start of this trial and it is for any gun expert
on this site. I am left handed and have tried to figure how she was able to
to make that shot, Two things I know are(1) she had to either be above him
or (2) he was laying on the floor. Also she had to be to the right of his head
because facing him would be at the wrong angle. Maybe she did use the bench to stand on to fire the gun. Any suggestions would help solve this. Or maybe she used her right hand. Still puzzlings. As she would have had to be
behind him. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Welcome, Nube7!!! :)

I am NOT a gun expert - but just had a thought to add - since the bullet casing was found in the bathroom, I wonder if she could have stood on the edge/lip of the bathtub to shoot him at that angle.

But then again, I'm always confused by gunshot trajectory, because the human body (especially the head) can move about/bend down and at angles, etc. I don't know why or how the trajectory can be determined after a body has been moved especially. Couldn't Travis have been leaning over (as if washing his feet, touching his toes or - retrieving a new camera that had been knocked or placed on the floor?) and create that sort of trajectory without her having to be above him or Travis having to be sitting or lying down?

Despite all those questions, I defer to and agree with the ME - he knows waaay more than me about the significance of the gunshot wound, and the sequence has been ruled as unimportant by the judge and now the AZ Supreme Court (as far as the DP qualification is concerned) so I'm not sure when or how Travis was shot matters to the jury - as much as how JA's story about it and how void of credibility that is...

I don't know - just thinking out loud :) ...

Actually, does JA have credibility about *anything* at all in this case? I can't think of anything offhand... Yikes - that isn't a good sign for her future. Not looking rosy for JA...

I think it was left side facing out.

He was slumped with the bullet entrance point being closest to shower wall and the bullet resting place (his left cheek) facing shower door. His back resting on the wall with the shower-head.

Do you know which one he talks about the murder trip and Jodi returning whatever she returned to him on June 3?

Could have stood on the toilet and shot him over the curtain/or top after she drug him back?

Well, I think they'd match since they were both 25 caliber. Do you mean the brand name of the ammo? I wonder if they'd be able to tell?

I agree. I think she showered before putting him in there and then used the cup.

I also think she had blood on her hands when "waking up from her black out BS" was because the cut on her finger (which was the real cause of her deformity) was still bleeding.

KB,
She would have had blood ALL OVER her. She mentioned she didn't even know if he was dead with all the blank spots in her memory of the stabbing.
Where did she think all the blood came from when she "woke"?
She mentioned he wasn't bleeding from her gunshot story.

This a very disturbing thing to say, but she must have stood in the shower with deceased TA and took a shower. She could have moved the shower head back ~ That's the only way I can see that she would be able to get the blood off of her? What do you guys think?

Not necessarily ... perhaps she showered first and then moved TA back to the shower ?

...Part of her memory loss since it was right after she stabbed him 27 times and slit his throat. She only mention she rinsed her hands off with bottle water on the road to Utah.

I just can't imagine that Utah State Trooper that stopped her would not notice blood on her (like hair, under her just new manicured nails, on her arms, etc) JUST not an upside down license plate. I think that trooper would want to have a conversation with this nice young lady about a few spots of blood he noticed. :-)

While in jail, I believe in 2010, JA filed a Motion to Disqualify the Maricopa County Attorneys Office and Prohibit the State From Viewing And/Or Accessing Jail Visitation Records in 8/08 and 9/08. Why does a defendant do that? Is it typical?

When there's something incriminating in the jail records? IIRC, the defense motion to keep the recorded jail calls out of the State's hands was granted. Do you remember seeing this?
