He starts to get her going when he passionately says "WHAT RIGHT DID YOU HAVE TO GO THERE THEN? WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO BE IN HIS HOUSE???"
If I were on the jury I would want the prosecutor to be very thorough about debunking her lies. It is not an easy thing to convict a fellow human being of a heinous crime and to recommend a sentence of death and it shouldn't be. They have to feel sure beyond a reasonable doubt because they are going to live with their decision.
It seems to me that his questions are relevant to disproving her defense. She says that she was physically, emotionally, and sexually abused by Travis. He is debunking all of that.
All the questioning and testimony about sex, for example, may seem to be excessive, but I now know that she did nothing with Travis that she hadn't done before (so she wasn't shocked), that sometimes she gave no indication that she didn't want to do certain things even when she didn't, and that when she didn't want to do something and did tell him, he stopped immediately. So where was the sexual abuse?
As for emotional abuse, here's just one thing we learned. She said that he was borrowing money from her and calling her selfish when she didn't have it to give him. But in fact, he was loaning money to her.
We have no one's word except hers that she killed Travis in self defense and the prosecutor is proving that she is a liar, not just before being under oath but during her testimony in the trial. She has to explain the savage overkill. She's doing that by portraying herself as an abused woman and he is showing that it isn't true.
JA was in Mesa two weeks before she killed him?

Basically if you put out positive thinking and act in harmony with this you will get what you desire. If you put out negative stuff (i am ugly no one wants me) then this negativity and repercussions of this thinking is all you will get. You won't put any energy into changing to get something positive. That is what the gist is. whatever you want, tell yourself you can do it and take steps to get it while keeping up the positive. I never saw anything in it about something unpreventable, like cancer, happenig because someone wasn't thinking positively enough. There's a diff between negative thinking and actions that and negative things happening that you had no control over.

She's a Sociopath... So her baseline thinking isn't like ours.. she isn't able to absorb relate understand empathize or sympathize other people's feelings. Because of this she mimics others in behavior & society norms but she can't grasp boundaries or.. nuances of society for example YOU DON'T SEND FLOWERS OR GO TO MEMORIALS FOR PEOPLE YOU MURDER! You know lil things like that.
I wanted to share with you all. I have no doubt JA planned to kill Travis. None. However, I wa talking to my husband about this case, he is a guy =-) like many of the jury, and he was NOT convinced she had. Now, my husband is a very smart guy with tons of common sense. I admit to losing my mind but I was sorta in shock ya know?! I went over the evidence and he wasn't convinced until I went over the time frame of the photos and Travis's death. He finally agreed there wasn't time. JM needs to spell this out BIG TIME. Including the fact that she had the weapons on her when the attack occured. My husband orginally believed she may have had them just in case something happened. (I know, I know.) He also needs to spell out how planning can happen in an instant. The choice to walk/run away or commit the crime. My husband is a good guy and he just can't understand HOW a young woman could do such a crime. Well, me too. But I know she did. I hope JM understands this!
I think he will use this theory on a few points in his rebuttal where he wants to dispute and do a switcharoo of some of the answers she gave. I think he may even use this to explain away her assertive/aggressive behavior on the stand. I think they hoped she would appear more passive/docile and victim-like than she has been able to pull off so far. JMO.So he's going to request a 'do-over' of yesterday? I think Juan wouldn't mind coming at her again on those issues.
