Out of curiosity, was Jodi given bail, I had always assumed she had no bail but a poster a few pages back, said had she had money she would be out on bail.

Was she given a bail and what amount if so?

TIA
2 million iIrc... may have been revoked at some point. Not sure...

Katie CL, I could not agree with you more. Personally I dont believe in the death penalty..for various reasons. I do believe in victims rights and if this is what the family wants then I stand with you on this. God Bless You for being there for this family.

Thank you for understanding.

I agree. Her lawyer pulls tricks to 'help' her!
and why is JA allowed to speak the way she does to prosecutor?
Judge doesn't control her court......IMOO

I don't understand the judge leniancy either with allowing Nurmi to control when court ends, etc.

I understand not wanting appeal issues, but it is ridiculous the judge is allowing Nurmi to control so many things. The other day, he told the judge it was a good time to break for the day, and she obliged. I would tell him to take a seat and the judge will be the one to tell when court starts and ends.

At least she seems somewhat fair to both sides though. I dont sense any favoring to one side or the other. She lets both sides control her court. :floorlaugh:

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present an "in depth" look into Kirk Nurmi's court room objections.....

If you would like to hire him for your own defense I'm sure he'll have many openings after the conviction of his current client.

:waiting:

Guys, I think the point folks are tryint o make -myself included- is whether it would be useful to the DT on appeal. And it just might.

She needs to climb down off her lunchbox and answer the questions.

Her lunch menu, caloric total, and nutritional content are not at issue.

Her guilt in committing the premeditated murder of Travis Alexander, proven beyond a reasonable doubt, is.

She'll get further appealing on the basis of inadequate/incompetent counsel than on mealtime deprivation. She's not even in that courtroom prior to 10:00 a.m. MST. Let her eat a larger breakfast.

They're wrapped by 16:30 MST each day.

Cry me a river (not directed at you, seattlechiquita)... :boohoo:

I have a behavior question. We have now heard about several boyfriends and one by one, pretty much each one she has either read their text messages when they fell asleep or were in a shower, or read their hotmail and printed things out.

Mostly in her words catching them in these inappropriate conversations.

I don't really know of one person she did not do this to (maybe the last one, Ryan)

I have never done this, I'm not saying that would not be tempting but I have never felt like I wanted to. I suppose if I had feelings something was wrong, I'd simply act on those but not sneak in and go through mail.

How odd is it that she did this to so many guys? I don't want the fact she "alleges" to have found "dirt" on most all of them to diminish the the behavior of looking at their private things in the first place.

What I want to know is why can't Jodi keep a guy from straying soon after being with her?

It seems like Jodi is more than willing to do it all to give them pleasure, and yet all her boyfriends seem to get busted for stll looking for a better gf.

Is she inferior to her three hole wonder reputation? She's not so wonder or full perhaps.

I so disagree with the tv opinion that Juan is lost in the weeds and just making minor points because it's too personal to him. He dismantled her "i just went with with Travis' deviant agenda that made me feel dirtry". He has to refute this, and the "abuse", since its part of her "justification" defense, and he needs the amo to dismantle the defense sexpert. If the events are proven to not have happened, there is no basis/foundation for the opinion.

And I thought the testimony he elicited out of her own mouth about her stalking pattern was amazing albiet scary. She admitted to all of it as if it wasn't odd and perfectly appropriate - it was so cringeworthy and reeking of premeditation. Her knee jerk reaction when jealous is to hop in car, drive long distances, and confront. She's been proven to be assertive, confrontational and as tall as Travis. Her "I wasn't allowd to be confrontational with Travis" is so implausible -- he was scared of her! It's in his texts!

And finally - I think Nancy Grace's head is going to explode in 10 minutes with the hungry/tired/headache stunt.

That is why I refuse to watch the THs. I have to listen to Jodi Arias lie enough without hearing more bs. This happens everytime a high profile case is discussed. They know way more so they say than the Prosecutor that has done this for 3 decades and has an amazing record of wins.:banghead:

It was a great day for the state.

The mask is slipping off of the sociopath. She is caught in her own web of lies and deceit.

IMO

Oh geez ...
One of the opening soundbites on thw JVM show from the trial today:

Juan ... "Ma'me, are you having trouble understanding my questions ?"
JA ... "Yes b/c you're going around in circles with your questions."

Hey JA ... Pot meet Kettle.
all JA has done is spin lies, circle questions, avoid direct answers, and waste hours & hours of the court and the juries time.

Sorry if this has been discussed earlier today - I had appt and missed part of the live stream today.
Just unbelievable that JA has the gall to accuse the prosecutor of confusing her.
JA's big problem is that she is incapable of giving a straight "yes" or "no" answer to ANYTHING she's been asked.
The reason your "brain is scrambled" JA is b/c it's becoming increasingly hard for you to keep track of all your LIES.

I can't even begin to describe how disgusted I am with this defense attorney. He is dislikable, petty, childish, churlish, arrogant and unprofessional. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but he makes Jose Baez look good.

This judge NEEDS to take control of her courtroom. This is not Nurmi's courtroom, it is HER courtroom. When on earth has anyone heard of an attorney dictating the hours court will be in session? Anyone remember Judge Belvin Perry saying he would work them six days a week, 12 hours a day if necessary?

I can't speak! :furious:

PrincessSezMe, I could not agree more... This is the only trial I have ever watched with such media attention that has such short hours.... a) don't start until 10:30 local time, continue for an hour and a half, break for lunch, continue for and hour and a half, break for afternoon recess, continue for maybe an hour and call it a day.... At this rate, the trial could last 6 months! :what: Thanks for allowing my rant, I find the pace ridiculous! :furious:

Well, I think it's fair to make sure she is at least given the opportunity to be properly nourished while she's in trial all day. I think pre-trial detainees who who have not yet been convicted, should be given 3 meals a day and should not be physically compromised when they are in trial defending themselves. I believe that about all defendants in trial, not just Jodi.

Please do not ask for a link, but I remember many years ago (at least 7? 8?) watching an episode of 60 Minutes (maybe it was Dateline) about Sheriff Joe. Wasn't the county taken to court already on the issue of feeding only 2 meals a day instead of 3? I thought (but could be completely mistaken) that this went all the way up to the State or even US Supreme Court (as being "cruel and unusual punishment"). They are able to get by with the two meals because the requisite number of calories is provided per day, just split into two meals instead of three. I sort of recall them saying that "brunch" truly does include a breakfast and a lunch and they did the two meals to save money of staffing (fewer hours required in the kitchen, to serve, etc).

I'm not saying I disagree with you, I just hadn't seen this 60 Minutes/Dateline/whatever episode mentioned and your post reminded me of hearing about this issue.

I think the state would have been better off with a female prosecutor. Juan is too "aggressive" and she is using using this as excuses for HER behaviour.

We are all in agreement. Jodi faked a migraine because her team needed time to coach her for what's coming tomorrow. What about Juan Martinez? If anyone has a headache it must be him. He is working so hard for Travis' family. God bless him.

Good night everyone. See you all tomorrow I hope. :)

There's a total of 3 squares a day according to my cousin who works at a prison. She she JA would have eaten breakfast already and be back in time for dinner.

Hell that's no less than what I can squeeze into my workday. I NEVER operate on a full 3 meals and still have to perform high workloads under great stress.

Geez!!! Man up Jodi!!! She can take a d**k up the butt but she can't take an empty stomach??? Go freakin figure.

is the prison and the jail 2 separate places?? - i read oj was able to even buy a television for his cell in prison - but isn't the jail different?

Great! He is quite the character !!:rocker:

OT -- but a lighter Gus Searcy post; to keep up with the man who claims he does not want to be in the lime-light !Here's his Face Book post-of-the-day:
Gus Searcy
I will be on the CNN Anderson Cooper Show 10pm eastern time. This Friday. it will be a much longer and in depth segment

Oh geez. Really? This is the best you can come up with? He WILL get a conviction. Goodnight.

So she can tell the Judge she needs water but hasn't told anyone she hasn't been getting lunches?

I really hope they are wrong and that she has been getting lunches. I don't think she deserves them, I just don't think they should be given any reason to blame anyone else for her not doing what she is supposed to be doing.

I can see her now, batting her eyes and looking woebegone as she begs: "Please, kind Judge, may I have just a wee crust of week-old bread?"

Given all the OTHER things she's managed to slip in when all that was required was a YES or NO answer, I don't believe for a SECOND that she wouldn't have managed to slip the accusation of her daily food-depravation in by now. I know *I* would have. I get weak and have trouble concentrating if I go too long without food. I'm sure she has been medically evaluated, though, and diabetic/hypoglycemic prisoners are probably granted exemptions from the no-lunch policy.

:blushing: I have. And ended up breaking an engagement over it. Red Flags of him online in middle of night (he was chatting) led me to sleuth him........ and then dump him. :blushing: and yep.........on my way out the door, I let the girl that he was seeing know that we had been living together, and what was happening on my end. I know that many many think that doing such is an invasion of privacy, but I'll be d*(*ed if I get into a marriage with someone like that. (And the man.....lied through his teeth)... Nope, I didn't kill him......just moved on.

Don't throw rotten apples please!

I don't think what you did was wrong provided your "sleuthing" was carried out short term and not months or years or for multiple boyfriends. And you walked out and got closure and didn't take him back and continue snooping. Because then it becomes something else.

I think *everyone* has a mortal right to know who else their sexually intimate signif other is possibly also having sex with from an STD life-or-death standpoint. Absolutely 100%. If you're just dating, no sex, not exclusive, then no - but exclusive sex, absolutely. But once you find something, move on and end things. Do not keep snooping - that's the point.

However if you found this was a pattern that exhibited in more than one boyfriend (as I had started doing until I got help) then the problem is not the boyfriend but rather your selection process. That's what my counselor told me.

So you'll get no tomatoes from me. Only applause, high-5 and a big U Go Girl!!

Good evening ElleElle and everyone :seeya:

Alright. Nancy Grace would gladly do the job.

I'd like to know if his siblings are able to stomach lunch.
Their stress levels have to be through the roof too.

I will say JM needs to wrap it up or her games will continue to escalate.
MOO
