I'm headed back down to the afternoon session in court today peeps. I'll post once I get there and give a heads up about my whereabouts. Also bringing my ipad as a backup. ;) I think today will be a big day.

I'd love to go but have to get my niece from school at 2 today grrr smack dab in middle of afternoon session!

:worms:It is excruciating to watch Juan going over everything again and again, and ask "Right?" at the end of every statement he makes. Yes, I agree, it is terrible that Jodi Arias killed Travis. We know this. Is there good and bad in every person? It doesn't seem so. It seems to me that there are truly some individuals who are so self-serving that there is no redemption. It also seems to me that this defendant is a true pro at self-preservation. I am more interested in what has made her this way....I realize my view will be unpopular, but someone like me may be sitting on that jury, and under this excruciating testimony, personally, I want it to stop. If you have ever been in the box, being hammered by an attorney, you feel a spot of something akin to "PLEASE MAKE THIS STOP!" She's guilty, we know it....let's end it. I think it is somehow merciful for murderers to take their own lives when all is said and done, because it spares us this agony. I understand the need for interrogation, but it's not fun, I don't see how anyone can think she is enjoying this endless recitation. I am afraid that the more Juan goes on and on, asking about each individual statement, he is illiciting the sympathy of a juror. In fact, as this continues, it appears that she grows stronger in the stand, she is NOT breaking under the pressure....(but I am.)
Anybody out there understand me? :worms:

Since someone brought up the journals...what I think is most damning is that she doesn't even refer to events in vague terms. Even something understated like a "disagreement" for the fights or "a very strange incident when I unexpectedly returned to Travis' House". The Secret is such a lame excuse...the mystery email to Travis' girlfriend shows that. I take it that the email couldn't be linked to her?

I can't stand it!!! Please give me a hint what the WORD is. I have gone back 4 pages and can't find it. TIA:waitasec:

It's a slang term for semen, rhymes with fizz and begins with a "j".

Another crazy irony involving Jodi Arias is that she worked for and had purchased the Pre-Paid Legal product, but had to find her own lawyer to handle the BMW/U-Haul debacle.

:floorlaugh:

Didn't it just fall right off her lips with such fluidity?

(seriously I wrote that sentence innocently not intending any pun situation)

I can't believe these talking heads are so critical of JM. In my opinion he's doing a GREAT job.

1) He's shown how she changes from day to day, even hour to hour, in her demeanor and behavior. Everyone is talking about the Jodi from Day 1 of JM's examination, then the Jodi from Day 2, the Jodi from Day 3. How many more Jodi's are there? And I think he needed yesterday to show what a fraud the sweet, crying Jodi from Day 2 was.

2) He has shown that she can take care of herself emotionally when she wants to.

3) She has a clear pattern of stalker behavior. She views any contact by her man with another female as cheating. She will go to extraordinary lengths to keep tabs on her men, including blowing off her job to snoop.

4) Much of what she asserts about herself is the opposite of reality. "I'm a monogamous person." Not. "I'm a procrastinator." Not. "I'm pretty laid back." Not. And so on and on and on. So when she says "I was afraid of Travis." Not. "I was under his thumb." Not. "I was abused." Not!

5) JM has got her caught in one serious trap. She has to take responsibility for her behavior or she looks bad. So she keeps saying she's responsible, then tries to blame someone (everyone) else. In one sentence she will say something is someone else's fault, but it's her responsibility. Makes no sense at all.

6) She plays endless word games. That May 10 tape showed how manipulative she is. How can anybody believe she didn't have the upper hand with Travis?

7) She is cool, calm and collected under fire. After three days on the stand she never looks out of control. She SAYS that JM's "yelling" at her bothers her, but again, the opposite is true. She tries to behave like a victim, but she doesn't really understand what a victim is, so she can't pull it off.

8) I have never been the victim of domestic violence, and even I can see what b*ll***** her claim is. If I'd been subjected to those 3 days of cross examination on the stand I would be crying, sobbing, stuttering, yelling back. She barely blinks.

9) She is ENJOYING playing with JM. One talking head I watched pointed out that her behavior would be great if she was an attorney, but she's not. She is icy cold and in complete control of herself.

10) Probably THE most telling exchange yesterday IMO was her reaction to discussing cheating behavior by her boyfriend(s). She believes she has every right to snoop & spy if she wants to know if he's cheating. Others here have posted about checking their SO's emails or phones for proof of cheating -- but only after they have suspected cheating for some time. Jodi doesn't need suspicions. She doesn't need any clues. She has the right to check on her man any time, anywhere, whenever she wants.

11) JM pointed out a number of times that "she can't have it both ways." This is another case of her having no idea that when you say one thing and do another, sooner or later even the densest person will figure you out.

Sorry for the rant -- I could go on and on! The criticism of JM's questioning has me wondering if, in addition to the whole ratings thing, they are thinking about the Casey Anthony trial and thinking "won't be fooled again."

This phrase must have really scrambled her brain, I'm sure her mind went straight to sex, and thinking "yes, I can have it both ways"

Another crazy irony involving Jodi Arias is that she worked for and had purchased the Pre-Paid Legal product, but had to find her own lawyer to handle the BMW/U-Haul debacle.

Nor to be with her while she was being interrogated for hours.

I guess she was under her friend Gus Searcy's tutellage on that. He can't seem to find a lawyer either.

well, I have to admit this......up til yesterday....I have never even heard of this word before......hubby walks thru the door after work and I asked him about it.....he even blushed and said...."Dear, that word has been around forever"....I hadn't a clue.....:blushing:

If we're talking about the "j" word, yes - been around for decades. Was a big word in the late 80's - however, I *never* have ever heard a girl utter that word once - like ever. It's a very *advertiser censored* word. All my guy pals told me so.

Jodi has a very pornographic vocabulary and references sexual fetishes such as "facials" which are really nothing more than cheezy demeaning male fetishes portrayed only in graphic *advertiser censored* flicks. Geez - even 9 1/2 Weeks didn't even stoop to that level! Lol

She openly chooses to talk like a *advertiser censored* star and yet has the audacity to claim that ahe found it offensive to be called one. She talks and acts like she *wants* to be associated to one - right down to the big fake TA-TA's.

What I bolded...and the fact that she's been back talking, smirking and giggling shows to me that she's enjoying every last minute of it. The way she lights up when talking about all the sexual activity with Travis. All eyes are on her and she's loving it. She thinks she's smarter than everyone and she's got the chance to let her ego shine.

Absolutely correct. Anything said which would challenge her exaggerated self image causes anger and frustrations.

Also, insinuating that they are average, unextraordinary, garden variety. These statements cause intense rage.

Like "basically Jodi, you were just another nothch on Travis' belt, right?

Or

Jodi, you were just an average "woman scorned", right? Just another broken heart along the way.

Or

So you were just used for sex and sumped, right?

Because all odd this would insinutate tht she was not special, important, or dear to Travis, which is something she wants known (how deep their relationship, how connected, etc.)

I think her ears would smoke if JM made such insinuations.

He's doing his job. Should he back off from doing his job, or cater to the possible juror(s) who sympathize with her? It seems almost like people are afraid of juries. We just can't be. He has to impeach her, point out all her lies and try to get a conviction. We can't just say 'oh my, the jury might be feeling sorry for her' and not complete the task.

Based on that quote where she said she didn't mean to cause them pain (or however she said it)

The falsehood she told was that intruders killed him, and she even called his family and said how sorry she was he died etc.

I don't think she is admitting she lied and killed him herself.

Jodi wanted to save Travis's family from further pain so she dreamt up the ninja killers story? How does that work? Unknown assailants attack and kill their brother? Will they come after the rest of Travis's family? Who are these people? What did Travis do or what did the ninja's think Travis had done to be so brutally murdered?

Yeah, if I was a relative of Travis the ninja story would give me the least amount of peace of mind.

Lice would be more creative. That could keep her out a few days.

Explosive diarrhea would be pretty good, too-- and believable! ;)

Ya can't fake the second one when there are witnesses to each and every BM

Here's a question for JM to ask today ...

"Ma'm, can you explain to the jury why it took you 2 years after your arrest to change your defense strategy to one of "self-defense" ?

Ditto. All he has to do is say 'Mimi" and her ears perk up and she starts to seethe.
