IMO if he did buy a gun, no way would it be a 25. And there would be a record of it. Travis doesn't strike me as the kind if guy that would buy one off a crack head on a street corner

Exactly!

:)

Dr. Drew is so stupid that he doesn't see Gus for who he really is. The Dr. said that Gus is kind to his show because Dr. Drew did not prepare enough research on him before he had him on.

Even on tonight's show, Dr. Drew did not know enough to ask him the important questions such as

-You say you answered everything, but why didnt you answer the question you almost got contempt of court for?

-Why did you say she called you the night of the murder when you said you were leaving on trip the following day and that is day the body was found?

-If you really dont like the limelight, why were you bragging about making so much money and not even having to get out of bed.

Dr. Drew really bothers me because he claims to be so smart about things, but misses the obvious a lot of times. That other lady on the show next to him saw Gus for who he was, but the Dr. has no clue.

Dr. Drew over-stigmatizes/over-labels everyone and everything and it bugs me. I think he's an internist... (?)

I saw that too...her sly smile. Let me tell you, she's smiling in to thin freaking AIR. I looked carefully. NOT ONE is smiling back at her or even looking at her. NOT ONE. Their heads are DOWN. She's in her own little made up world. SHe's smiling in to space.
I hope so Katie! Unfortunately, it ain't over 'till the fat lady sings. I'm waiting and hoping for that! Out damn spots, out!

Don't know how there are two quotes in my post?

You must have "multi-quoted" accidentally. The multi-quote button is directly to the right of the "quote" button.

It usually takes a long time to figure out how to do that, so good on you for stumbling across it ! :)

Problem is, JA is a terrible witness, and does not come across as a woman who got jerked around (and I have been honest in my opinion that I think she actually did get treated badly). If I were seeing some guy who made me stay down low because he didn't want his rep to suffer, I'd be PISSED. So would most any woman.

But the fact that she is so flat makes that whole defense tack useless. It doesn't jibe.

I see what the defense had hoped to do, but IMO, it isn't working.

But then I said that about CA. :furious:
I had a long-term 10-year-relationship do that to me. Made his best friend and his girlfriend believe we were broken up, yet continued to sleep with me. I got tired of lying so I outed him to his best friend and girlfriend at the cost of the relationship. It hurt badly, but I understood that because of my actions it was over for good. I didn't go back and kill him.

He's prompting her constantly. "Are you sure you weren't feeling..."?

It's so obvious and totally exaggerated today. She's making mistakes now and obviously feeling the fatigue...of herself. She's not even keeping up her lies well.

She's just not that smart. She overestimated herself in true psychopathic form. The only thing she had were decent looks and sex.

Well she looks terrible, after seeing dead Travis picks no juror would want to do her, she has nothing left to manipulate with!

I really thought OMG are they making eye contact with her......nooooo!

This makes me feel so much better about this jury. Surely they don't like their intelligence being so insulted!

I've been here years and have never found that multi quote button. Pray tell where on earth is it?

Thank you sooo much for all your input!!! My mom has a question for you...

She said she felt like JA would look at JM after answering questions about things relating to premeditation (IE the gas cans). She said she got a vibe from her that she was looking at him like "there you go... There's your answer for that!"

Did you ever notice her looking towards JM like that? I didn't notice it but I was working and mostly just listening.

Gitana posted about this very thing way upstream somewhere.

She said [ paraphrasing] that Nurmi appears to be setting up a type of scenario where we now see JA as the battered woman who is in denial and who does not even realize that she was mistreated. So their little tense interplay is supposed to paint that kind of picture for us. I agree and I hope the jury does not buy it.

Thanks katydid. I often miss a few pages here because the board moves so fast I can't seem to catch up. It just seems to me that since day one Nurmi has been pretty distant with his client. Baez was always completely "focused" on his client (no innuendo intended LoL), and I think that was picked up by the jury. So I think if there is a distance from his client on Nurmi's part, that will be picked up by this jury too. I picked up on it from the first day of trial, and the jury is sitting right there in the courtroom.

I'm guessing that as long as she's getting adequate legal representation he's fulfilling his obligation, and that's all she deserves. I think every brick in her wall is a good thing. And I'm sure Juan will cement that wall when he gets his cross.

Don't know how there are two quotes in my post?

Sometimes I think I hit the thanks button, but I actually hit the button with the quote mark (which enables you to quote multiple posts). I find out when I go to reply that I hit the wrong button. hth

I think we will find out about the CDs on cross and if they had scratches on them.

That's assuming the CDs exist or brought with her. After all, his computer didn't have a virus, per the expert... so who knows?

I really thought OMG are they making eye contact with her......nooooo!

When we watched KC's trial they kept saying that the jury never looked at her and look where that went.

There is a huge difference. JA has admitted to killing Travis and claiming it was self-defense. She should have been in shock and unable to register what happened. However, she wouldn't have had the presence of mind to drag him back into the shower, wash him off, attempt to clean up the crime scene, put laundry into the washer, and so forth before leaving for her date in Utah. In reality, most likely she could have been found sitting on the floor or the stairs, sobbing hysterically, when the roommate came home.

MOO

I wonder if she washed the dog?

I've been here I think since 2005 and still haven't figured it out! Lol

After the break Pam left to go down to appear on Nancy's show so she asked me to take her seat right next to Travis Aunt Heather. It was completely daunting for me.

I just sat there in my mind asking for strength to send down the line to this family. Doing my best to sit there not getting overwhelmed with the abject ABUSE going on in that courtroom and remembering this family needs support.

So, there I sat but didn't take many notes during that portion. I wanted to focus on the family. Both sisters smiled and greeted me. Harold was so sweet and thanked me and hugged me at the end of the day (what a good man).

After the jury left and JA standing there as usual with her Von Trapp pose, she limped over to the defense table and her demeanor changes entirely as she talks to her team. She's animated, looking up as they huddle around her. Honestly it all just makes me ill. But I did watch her for awhile as did the family.

After court I walked down with katie who was headed to an appearance on a local channel then met up with Pam after her Nancy Grace appearance, met Nancy's producer Bonnie who asked me to be a guest on the show later this week or next week. Speaking out about victims issues. Pam had told her about me earlier I guess.

Went out for a lemonade with Pam and talked more about the day. She was quite close to Travis and the whole pedophile business is just appalling to her obviously. It's so over the top.

I just can't wait for Juan.

I'll be back tomorrow afternoon and all day THursday ..most people think Juan won't get to cross til next week. I'll be there then too.

Will write more if I sit here and think of anything else...:seeya:

Thank you so much. I waited up and glad i did. your insights are great. Glad Travis's family has embraced you. Will you be there tomorrow?

"He's on the tape fantasizing about anally raping a 12-year-old"

^^ Just heard Jodi say this!!! Her sociopathy is really seeping out, here in the home stretch. That's pretty freaking bold, considering the jury heard the tape and heard exactly what he did and didn't say.
