I just thought of another way the shell could have ended up like that. I think this seriously could be the answer to how it ended up like that and will get to that at the end in the *********** box.

First, want to say I am in the camp that firmly believes she shot him first, and the gun jammed (which is fairly common in small caliber autos), and so then she ran out of the room. I think she was watching him from afar hoping he would just die. But because he started crawling around she then irealized she needed to finish him off. She then got the knife and began stabbing him. I thnk she would run up to him and stab him and then jump back out of reach. She did that over and over till he finally was almost dead and then she slit his throat because he just would not die for her.

As far as the shell, others have said the shell could have first been on a clean part of the floor and then it easily could have been kicked while she was cleaning up and it happened to roll right into the blood just right. It rolled or was kicked in a way where it still had a clean spot on top.

BUT, here is something I just witnessed that could explain it easily....
Another thing that could have happened is based on seeing my dog pee on the floor the other night. Seriously, my dog peed and the puddle slowly crept across the floor over the course of an hour before I spotted it to clean it up. In this same way, the bullet casing could have been in a clean spot on the floor, and as the blood puddle slowly made its way toward the clean casing, it eventually surrounded the casing and it made it look like the casing flew in the middle of it. When actually the blood puddle moved and migrated to the casing and eventually surrounded it.

If there was any kind of subtle slope or uneveness on the floor, the blood puddle would move just like I saw the other night with my dogs "accident".

I have posted several times that I did an experiment with maple syrup and rigatoni pasta. I was able to side kick the pasta into the small pool of syrup and it kinda skipped but landed in the center of the pool, with no syrup on the exposed side. I did this experiment several times and the only mishap I had was missing the syrup pool entirely. One time there was a droplet or two on the dorsal side of the pasta but never once was it coated.

Not that it matters, but since it doesn't matter, no harm in stating that a shell could easily be knocked into a pool of blood without being coated. :twocents:

It would seem she had to: drop the camera, have TA lunge at her, knock her down onto the tile and bang her around, roll to the left to get away, run down the hall and into the closet (but the closet is right there, not sure why she had to run down the hall -oops!), think "oh, I know, I'll grab the gun,", pull the stool over, reach up on the shelf to get the gun, get back down, confront TA with the gun, get tackled at the waist over by the scales/windows, then get him over to the hallway to be captured in the "dragging" picture...all in one minute and two seconds (time between ceiling lights and 'drag' pix). And that assumes he is stabbed afterward.

Who takes one murder weapon with them while putting the other in the DISHWASHER?

I expected 'better' lies from her.

Does anyone know if a knife was actually found in the dishwasher?

Don't you have a duty to retreat in order to claim self defense? She had only to RUN. Right out the door to her packed car. Drive away!

She was able to flee from this grave threat and yet, she chose to get that gun and fire it at him. Buh bye, self defense.

(Plus , with all that mortal fear, it's amazing she remembered this gun and where it was, after seeing it one time.). :floorlaugh:

Dave Hall is the friend, he provided HLN with videos today of Travis shooting his (Dave's) guns when they went out. Dave was at Travis' house the week before he was murdered. No mention of any gun.. b/c Travis didn't own one.

That video was just shown on HLN tonight. Travis was firing a rifle, borrowed from his friend.

There was reportedly nobody else home at this time.

Well, his roommate were home at that time. So she couldn't shoot him yet.

of course she wouldn't have, because she wanted to torture him first.

Jodi hd soooo much rage that Travis was taking Mimi to Cancun. Not that she necessarily wanted to go to Cancun, but the fact that he was taking someone else drove her over the edge. JA gave TA all he wanted (sexually) and she thought she deserved all of Travis; his body, his life, his money. Poor Travis, he was trying to live a good Mormon life, but Jodi kept pulling him back into her web.....the only web she ever had so that she could trap men into her own craziness! :banghead:

And she was so blatantly lying when she said she never even considered that he would invite her when they first heard about the trip (June 2007). So, he's her boyfriend (supposedly) at that point and she doesn't assume (or at least hope) he'll take her with him?

And another note - I think today she said they had been having sex for 2 years? How does that calendar work?

Rewatching the brief portion where the testimony is actually related to the murder, and not to be Captain Obvious, but IMO she is definitely lying about not remembering the stabbing. While claiming she can't remember the stabbing, she is looking down (deceptive body language), and her answer to:

"Do you remember stabbing Travis Alexander?"
is
"I have no memory of stabbing him."

IIRC in statement analysis, if someone leads their answer with a positive, such as "absolutely not" or in this case "I have," you can typically clip out the negative word which follows (no/not) to get at the truth, esp. in the case of pathological liars.

JMOO and interest in words and body language. Also noted she referred to herself as "dinghy" today...I believe she meant "ditzy" given the context...but FYI dingy is an adjective meaning "gloomy or drab." She called herself that. Sorry, word nerd humor! :blushin

On NG show tonight her "suicidal attempt" while in jail was brought up.....apparently she couldn't take the pain from a small cut on her wrist. It was also commented on to just imagine what pain Travis felt as she repeatedly stabbed him and slit his throat.

She's in her own fantasy world..thinks she's making a connection with each juror as they file in and out..she looks at the backs of their heads like she's making some kind of psychic connection and not one EVER looks in her direction as they file in. On their way out they look in the opposite direction and she still stares at their backs with her plaintive Von Trapp pose as if they can see her. She's just nuts.

Well, it could happen either way but her foot/sock/shoe probably would have had blood on it, just a factor to consider.

Do we know what model gun was stolen? All I know is that it was a .25 which my boyfriend and friends who all cast their own bullets, while not balistics experts, insist that stippling and powder isn't cut and dry with this caliber because it uses so little powder.
