I need to find the clip, but there's one point where she's being a smart @ss and says something about not throwing up in her car & it was so STUPID Juan even chuckled a bit! If you didn't see it, it's HILARIOUS - I'll try to find a link!! That was the ONLY time all day her jerkiness didn't make me furious!!

Check out JM's lil giggle ~ ♥ it!!

This whole coded-magazine stunt makes me feel sorry for JA's defense team. It was shocking that they didn't seem familiar with her failed plan to witness-tamper her friend Matt.

If I'm not mistaken, she tried this trick after she finally confessed and was now supposedly telling her lawyers the "absolute truth."

The magazine message shows the jury that JA probably lied like a rug to Nurmi & Co. -- they they don't have a clue about what they've been helping her say. It looks like she's played them for fools, and now she's in court trying the same with the jury.

How can the jury now possibly believe JA didn't steal her grandpa's gun in the premeditation of TA's death?

Nurmi must feel so very betrayed.

ALL OF THIS!!!!

She's still carrying on the same behavior even as late as feb 2012. I know her defense team knew about the letters but maybe they hoped Juan wouldn't bring it up. Now i see why nurmi fought like hell to leave this case. How can you defend a client who's so arrogant and still breaking the law behind bars to set up her defense. can you imagine how they felt after she was caught doing this???? OMG.

So, although it makes it harder for the jury, it also makes it harder for her. And THAT is the most important element right now. He doesn't need to make it all tight and buttoned up for the media, the press or the audience, he only needs to connect with the jury. And I think they are right on top of it.

Not only that, but he will tie it all up into a neat, coherent bow during closing arguments. THEN they will see where he was going with various lines and methods of questioning, and they would have access to transcripts or at least be able to have portions read back to them if they request it.

Yes and her lazy eye turns in when she is angry, I think.:twocents::moo:

I think it's not anger, at least not so far. What you see is excitement. Her eyes widen, you see more of the whites of her eyes, and she focuses intently on her opponent. I don't see a lazy eye at all. I'll look for it next time I see a video, though.

Question to the legal eagles or others who work in the courts systems.

Do you think it's an ethical breach for a person working directly within the court system on a trial to be posting on a message board such as this and posting strong opinions against one side and specifically one attorney in the case?

Just curious.

Wow.

3am & I'm just catching up.

Gotta read a little of the in court report thread before I give up. Didn't know there was a separate thread.

Nite all.

Just a random thought...

I wonder if the after court hearing the other day was about the guard at the jail? I believe JA testified today that the same guard she accused of egging her into the Inside Edition interview, was the same guard as the one who busted her for trying to pass the notes through the magazines.

Anyone?

I noticed that. lol

When she was 'teaching' the audience about the procedure for releasing property, she sounded like the assistant warden, not a violent offender. She is so phony and arrogant. :jail:

You should have seen her practically skip across the courtroom to return an exhibit to the desk in front of the court clerk. Almost like a courtroom employee just tidying up the work space. Nuts.

NO Way!

Totally WRONG!

My son's gf was forced to watch this with me today, but she cracked up when she saw the magazine Super-Sekrit 'code.' Essentially JA wrote very OBVIOUS sentences, like ' see me ASAP BEFORE you testify' and stuff like that, in big letters for all to see, but her 'code' [:giggle:] is the little list of page numbers at the bottom. Like nobody can 'decode' her top secret messages.

DS's gf is getting her Master's in Special Ed and she was laughing really hard because she said she just did a worksheet for a 4th grade Special Ed class that uses that same 'code' system. She could not believe this woman, who is facing the DP, would tamper with witness testimony, and try to cover it up using a code system that 8 and 9 yr old kids could figure out immediately. :floorlaugh:

We are >>>HERE<<< katie...I left it alone. I realized what i was dealing with and backed off.

After seeing her today, I can't shake the feeling that the next time we see her she will be wearing more makeup, have fuller hair, and will be wearing a tight, low-cut top with a Wonderbra underneath.

Not me. Notice how she mimics? Now she's mimicing Juan Martinez. in her Power Suit and all...black. I think we're more likely to see her cut her hair and wear a tie with her button down shirt under the jacket as she progresses in to full mirroring mode against her "opponent" Martinez.

Yeah, I said that pages ago in this thread- no more little girl look. Bangs and pony tail are gone, so was hair curtain. Hair was behind her ears, even the glasses were off at times. No more light color blouses. Instead power jacket like Wilmott's in black.

That sounds like Casey Anthony.

I tell you she really thinks she's smarter than everyone else. Do you know how many times inmates have been caught doing the same thing she did? Especially the gang members who use this method to order hits on people that plan to testify against them or gang related killings? They sneak secret notes just like this and get caught. She can't see the forest for the trees. I wonder what the penalty was for this action?

One more thing before :bedtime: All the State has to do is prove this wasn't self-defense and it was pre-meditated. After today, I don't believe the jury will buy the self-defense act. JA is certainly not a meek little girl. She stood up to Juan Martinez in front of the entire world, that was a huge blow to her defense. Juan is chipping away, slowly but surely. I'm hoping he takes the weekend to figure out a way to lay it all out there for the jury. I do believe some important things might get lost, if he doesn't go over them again for the jury.
