I listened to all of it just now and totally disagree. Imo, it's an extremely lame cross given the crazy pro-prosecution facts in the pre-2010 interviews. I know he's trying to show current lies, but man, he comes across like a total tool, imo. 90% of her responses, or more, are entirely credible and his points, even if made, are like "so." jmo

Thanks. This is the funniest thing I've heard all year. LOL.

Jodi gave a HUGE clue about herself today when she said that she tends to take in information very "literally". I think she sent out a very important clue about who she is and how she perceives things. To be noted.

moo

I agree, I can't remember where in the testimony but at one point Juan was looking for a yes or no and and she wouldn't go there, and Juan said it's a yes or no answer then she finally said something to the effect of "not to me" or "not the way I see it" as if she can walk around yes or no.

Question to the legal eagles or others who work in the courts systems.

Do you think it's an ethical breach for a person working directly within the court system on a trial to be posting on a message board such as this and posting strong opinions against one side and specifically one attorney in the case?

Just curious.

Amazing isn't it. I have been wondering who this "person" is for quite some time now. Really hates that attorney for some reason. I think someone might like to talk with a judge, DA or detective and have it investigated. Tampering with Lady Justice is never a very smart move one anyone's part. The Courts seem to get cranky over problems like that for some reason. :floorlaugh:

What am I going to do til Monday.

I honestly dont think nurmi or that other woman attorney even noticed those notes in the magazines, they were fairly close to the spine.i sure would like to be a fly on the wall on her next meeting with them.

Did we ever find out what was going on in closed chambers on Wednesday?

Where did you hear closed chambers on Wednesday? That's a bummer. I thought someone posted earlier the court schedule for next week is M-W, so does that mean only 2 days of testimony?

It feels like Pulp Fiction, disjointed, but all comes together beautifully at the end.

I do know that it is an interrogation technique to ask questions out of temporal order - people remember their lies in temporal order.

How very interesting!

The Mind is a fascinating piece of work.

Does anyone have a list of all the restaurants Jodi claimed to have worked at? She seems to have quite an extensive resume--it just doesn't make sense to me. I was a server all through college & it doesn't make sense to jump from restaurant to restaurant--you would lose money that way since each new place must train you & it takes a little time to start making money.

Did she have other income? Stripping? Why so many places of employment?

Applebee's
PF Chang's
Denny's
Purple Plum
the Mexican Family Restaurant (forgot the name)
Ventana
"Margaritaville"

Also--in order to make enough money to live, she would have to be working at least full-time. How was she able to travel, photograph herself incessantly and stalk men?

Casa Robles is the Mexican place in Yreka (aka Margaritaville)
Mimi's Cafe (Mesa)
CA Pizza Kitchen (Palm Desert)

Even though the lady on NG (or one of the HLN shows last night) said the defense had the magazine and knew about it, I don't agree. I just watched it again and NURMI clearly is perusing it trying to figure out wtf is going on. He is not looking at it as somebody who is aware of what is coming up. His eyes are scanning it furiously looking for SOMETHING.

Oh, and Jodi has the tensed little smile on her face. Like oh *&^%.

I'm with you on this. Watching Nurmi, it was evident to me he didn't know the significance of the evidence and was desperately searching for the answer. Also, when he objected, he came across very dejected. Part of it, I think, was feeling betrayed by his own client; she should have told him what she'd done. I think she has sandbagged him the entire trial.

IMO

I thought there was a way to do it from the link on the first page of this thread. So I went and tried to get the court schedule for next week. I am not as smart as I thought I was though cause all I was able to find is the history on it.

Sorry ;(

Regarding her haircolor IMO we do know for fact that at some point along the trip she ABSOLUTELY DRASTICALLY CHANGED THE COLOR, right?.. IMO I believe that is easily established via Columbo's testimony from the car rental that Jodi was in fact THE BLONDE, BLONDE version of Jodi at that time.. and then we know for fact per her lovely photo session the afternoon of the murder that she was in fact THE BRAIDED BRUNETTE version of Jodi at that time..

So, we know this drastic color change did in fact occur DURING the trip en route to kill Travis..its just merely establishing at what point along that route did Jodi do or have done the drastic color change, right?

and IIRC she has remained adamant that there was NO COLOR CHANGE MADE DURING THE TRIP EN ROUTE to kill Travis, right?

Was there actually video or video stills of Jodi at the car rental biz with THE BLONDE, BLONE hair color, or do we have just the testimony of Columbo stating that she was BLONDE?

TIA to any who can clarify:)

I don't know if anyone has responded yet (sorry to repeat info if they have):

Juan hinted at having evidence Jodi had her blond hair dyed brown at a salon in Salinas where she said she had a manicure that "took a long time."

Not next Wednesday, Wednesday just passed. The day finished and the judge and attorneys went to chambers for something

This may have been already brought up but I just saw it on the Twitter feed. Sorry if its a repeat...

"WOW! Several jurors smiled when JuanMartinez whispered a question to #jodiarias after she complained his yelling hurt her memory."

YES! They see right through her.

Can you imagine answering a knock at your door and its Jodi!? I feel sorry for Bianca, she must have carpped herself. :what:

I was talking to my DH about that & I'm surprised no woman ever confronted Jodi or stood up to her nonsense! If she came to *my* door, I wouldn't have put up with her insanity. I would have told her to leave or talk to the cops when they arrived. I've had a stalker, and I just refuse to do that.

I think it's all about one's background: I was raised with "crazy" parents--both have personality disorders, so I'm familiar with Jodi's brand of crazy-making BS. I tend to respond with an attitude of "you are not going to pull that chit with me, looney tunes." I would also not hesitate to call 911, get a RO, etc. I get furious when people think they have the right to intrude into my life. I think it's different for people who have never run across a creature like Jodi. <------- By this I mean that they are more vulnerable to people like Jodi if they have never met a dangerous crazy person before. It's hard to believe that JodiMonsters exist if you've never seen one in action, not that I possess any superior skills or abilities.

She is a psychopath and is not capable of feeling love for another. She is only concerned with her self and her well being. Others are mere objects she can move around and control like furniture.

But I'll agree with the crazy part.

I was talking about Travis' feelings towards Jodi being lust and not love.

ok I found it lol.

"It seems you have problems with your memory. Is this a longstanding thing? Since you started testifying?" Martinez asked.

"No it goes back farther than that. I don't know even know if I'd call it a problem," Arias said.

"How far back does it go? You don't want to call them problems, are they issues? Can we call them issues? When did you start having them?" he asked in rapid succession. "You say you have memory problems, that it depends on the circumstance. Give me the factors that influence that."

"Usually when men like you or Travis are screaming at me," Arias shot back from the stand. "It affects my brain, it makes my brain scramble."

"You're saying it's Mr. Martinez's fault?" Martinez asked, referring to himself in the third person.

"Objection your honor," Arias' attorney finally shouted. "This is a stunt!"

I don't understand how anyone would want JM to be softer. What would the point of a soft cross be? Jodi has already confessed that she lied a lot and claims not to remember stabbing Travis. If JM used a soft approach then Jodi would simply say 'yes I lied, I was scared' and 'I'm sorry, I don't remember'. (Frankly I thought she would use that soft tactic with lots of apologies and tears). Also, how in the world can anyone present evidence of first-degree murder by being soft? What a contradiction.

JM's tough approach is revealing her true personality in all its ugliness. He trapped her. She is dumber than dumb to have fallen for it. She can't help herself. When she is challenged she forgets the trial and even that her life is on the line. She can't help herself. Her aggressive, violent and crazy nature comes out merely at the sight of a person like JM. I could see the change in her demeanour before she even uttered a single word at the start of cross yesterday. This is brilliant work by our dedicated prosecutor.
I think Juan is handling her brilliantly...she, however, is rather irksome. Typical psychopath but still annoying as hell. Obfuscation, gaslighting, deception and crazy-making.

If Juan were softer, especially out of the gate, it could have sent a subconscious message to the jury her abused, wronged female routine had validity. He needed to show the opposite and he accomplished that.

I am still a bit surprised Jodi didn't warp into the chihuahua routine because it would have made her appear more sympathetic - grateful, but surprised. I can only believe she thinks she's making it appear as though Juan and the State's case impose no threat because in reality, she should be more than capable of manipulating better. (Psychopaths usually fare better manipulating one on one but they can still come across to many as affable and charming if they want to.)

Just my thoughts.
