Yes, thank you for posting this because someone in the last thread commented how it looked like he was wearing his Dad's suits and I forgot to respond to that. His suits are custom made and fitted to him!

I think they were intentionally shown for shock value to rebut the prosecution's showing of the graphic photo of Travis's throat being slashed. And they left the jury on that note over the weekend, with the suggestion that the photos were on Travis's computer (whether it was of himself, or that he also was bi)...:twocents:

Gosh, if that was their purpose, how stupid. What defense team would put up pix like that KNOWING that they would be refuted and obliterated on cross by having to admit there was no valid source known for these photos. Stupid. Makes the jury question your entire credibility, which is what happened today.

He was called to testify as to what was on the computer. He was never asked what the video was, until cross. That is the point of cross. Martinez clarified what it was. I don't understand why the witness is taking the beating for what the defense is attempting to do.

It is up to the defense to decide what they are going to pick out of his report and ask him questions about on the stand. He is not the one determining what questions he is going to be asked.

If the defense did not ask him to research the meaning of the youtube video, then why would he do that? Isn't he being paid to do what they ask of him, which is to report on what was found on the data storage devices? I don't see how that is the witnesses fault.

And he can't be expected to know offhand about everything in a report of thousands of items without referring to his report.

I think Juan did a good job of picking apart this evidence, it never really did show anything exculpatory (learned that from Law & Order) about Jodi, but it is the defense trying to make this support their theory, not this witness. All just my opinion. I don't know why, I feel a bit sorry for this guy.

Why would she have taken a pic of the shirt and panties? Who takes pix of their clothes just lying there on a table or wherever? Why wd she do that?

Isn't it obvious? She was already preparing her defense with this. Laying out the T-shirt and panties with TA's name on them to claim (lamely, I might add) that T "forced" her to wear these as a sign of his "ownership" of her.

These 2 items are being spun into something they are not. JA was already trying to create a new defense strategy on the date she took those pics.

It's quite clear to me.

the only way I think those tapes will ever be allowed in are if jodi testifies and lays the foundation for them (moo of course)

The DT sure wanted to leave the jury with that impression and it was found on Jodi's hard drive ........not Travis'. How devious and shady they really are.

Once the jury thinks the defense is lying and trying to pull the wool over their eyes they will tune them out no matter what they say,

Now I do believe those photos werent Travis at all but may have been pics of Darryl.

I think to bolster the DT's opening statement about the phone sex. There were 7-8 audio recordings on the phone as per this last witness. I am not sure if they want the jury to assume that they were phone sex or if we will get back to those recordings later.

Yes. If you recall the Caylee Anthony case (and other high-profile murder cases, especially cases with the death penalty), there was a Prosecution Team. Unbelievable how good Juan Martinez is - handling this whole thing SOLO. I may start calling him "Hans" (Solo). He is phenomenal.

The DT lawyer was shaking her head no when Juan asked a question of the witness as if to tell him how to respond. Anyone else catch that? Is that allowed?

I DID see that and was thinking immediately WTF! No, the attorney is not allowed to make any movements of head etc, or mouth an answer to the witness. I had previously seen her mouthing and answer to him but fortunately the witness had his head directed to the jury when she did the "mouthing" of an answer. :furious: Do not like this defense team, dirty pool all the way around!
