And this entire video is filled with age progressions of her from age 7 to age 16:

And here's one of her and Burke (I'll try to find a bigger picture):

Some of those are pretty freaky, but it's still an interesting process.

The eyes really stand out in that this is what she would look like today pic. what a beautiful girl..

WOW.

I did a search for JonBenet on FB so of course all the weirdos who changed their name to JonBenet come up, but I also noticed that that some young middle school-looking girls, with first name JonBenet, last name something else came up. So I was like hmmmm....and I looked up their entire names on Google, and honor roll/birth announcements/etc from their local newspapers came up...and they are really named JonBenet! There's only a few of them, and they were all born in the 90s but it's so weird.

I would love to see people's reactions when "JonBenet" introduces herself, or when mom told everyone that she was planning on naming her daughter JonBenet. It's pretty much as unique of a name as you can get so I see someone who does this as being the attention seeking type.

It's possible that if the right people would take a new fresh look at all the evidence something would happen.
But Mary Lacy introduced the "this is a DNA case" line and it's seems the ones in charge right now are pretty ok with it,even Beckner said they focus on DNA and linguistics,so they basically just sit back and wait for a DNA or handwriting match, how convenient eh,what are the odds for that to happen.
People weren't vocal enough when ML put up that exoneration circus,it's too late now.
Yep maybe the cops tried something by inviting Burke to a new interview but the door was nicely shut in their faces and that's it,end of story, dead end.
NOBODY is working on this case right now if you ask me and it's obvious that everybody involved, the DA,the cops, the Ramsey's are very happy with the way things are "going".Nobody has to explain ANYTHING,everybody is quiet and the case is growing colder and colder and JR will pass away one day and it will be all 100% OVER.

My opinion?their last shot is to grill JR somehow(cause even IF IDI John KNOWS).do I see it happening?NOPE.bunch of cowards and morons............from start to finish..........

And re JR ,his new book and him conveniently hiding behind God and his faith.......

If I were him(and innocent) I couldn't sleep at night cause one of the best profilers in this world told me it was someone I KNOW,someone very CLOSE who wanted revenge and was angry with ME.

What do I do instead of thinking every day about WHO on earth this person might be?

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, " I don't know anyone that evil". Period, end of story. It's up to God to judge and forgive.

PLEASE,GMAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know people, but wouldn't you feel at least a BIT guilty if your child was brutally murdered because of you or something you did?
It's not only J.Douglas telling him it was revenge,it's the note itself (let's assume it's genuine for a second).
Not even his wife, the victims mother ever acted like a normal wife who blames him for what happened.Cause I BET such a wife and mother would blame YOU for it.

Another thing and I am going...
the huge problem these days is that the system changed (getting worse and worse every day) and people ,especially journalists, are afraid of law suits.
Another problem IMO is that because of some mistakes cops did criminals are getting more and more rights and are cleared based on ....NOTHING.
Better 10 killers free than one innocent in jail?Dunno about that anymore, seems it's not really working!!!
I'd also do something about all these experts who testify that the earth is flat, all about the money.
DNA?Yes,lots of killers were caught, technology helps, but how many were freed because DNA allows so much spin??

PFFFF...........

another thing....
was watching a documentary about the Polly Klaas kidnapping the other day...even if it's not murder (yet) the scene has to be sealed off...

I keep thinking....:waitasec:.......and laughing.....why did the BPD seal off just JB's bedroom?it's not like the "kidnappers" came through the window, took her and went out through the same window without touching or possibly leaving traces somewhere else in the house.

why did NO ONE kick out of the house the friends and the priest?the ENTIRE house was a crime scene FGS,kidnapping, murder, doesn't even matter....

this is so incredible and stupid,I can't even believe it....

and if the cops were SO incompetent and stupid,WHY DID JR NEVER SUE THEM?cause it's THEIR fault the crime scene wasn't preserved and evidence wasn't collected properly and this could be the reason the intruder will NEVER be caught right?!

what's wrong with you JR??(I mean,I know what could be wrong, but at least try and act a bit better?)

I'm a new poster but I have followed this case intensely. When this happened, my daughter was the same age and looked similar to Jonbenet. It has haunted me since day one. My daughter is now a wonderful young woman. I think about how Jonbenet would be her age now except she was robbed of her life. I also grew up in Patsy's hometown. I have been reading here a long time and I want you to know I think you are all great. Insightful and respectful. That is why I decided to quit lurking around and start posting.

Welcome, IHNC.
There is so much to read with respect to this case, however, ST’s book is an excellent start.
Perfect Murder, Perfect Town by Lawrence Schiller is a good resource
and
Death of Innocence by John and Patsy Ramsey provides a good look at their “woe is me” mindset.

I strongly suggest you take the time to work through the interviews of John and Patsy Ramsey which may be found here:

ACandyRose has a tremendous wealth of information:

The current Boulder DA didn't share his predecessor’s bias toward the Ramseys.
The Ramseys are no longer “cleared” according to Stan Garnett - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

It is an open case according to the Boulder DA, and he has placed the Boulder PD back in charge of the investigation.

"The Boulder Police Department is reinvestigating the 1996 murder of JonBenet Ramsey and will create a special task force to help hunt for the little girl's killer, the police chief announced Monday.
Boulder police Chief Mark Beckner said the department plans to approach the Ramsey murder as a cold case. The task force will be made up of veteran investigators.
He said the task force will meet in the upcoming weeks to assist Boulder investigators, review all evidence, help identify any additional future testing and explore all possible theories about what happened the night the 6-year-old was killed. "

Thank you so much, Cynic!
Thank you for the answers to my questions, and thank you for the wealth of threads to cover the material regarding this case!:yourock:

Someone was fired up yesterday! ;)

Oh you mean me?:)
well.....one of the reasons I am following this case is I hate parents who are hypocrites and who care so much about their own image trying to convince everybody they never do anything wrong.I am taking it kinda personal, have my own experience.I said it more than once, even IF they didn't do it,I can't get their behavior, the fact that they don't seem to care and the fact that they always find excuses.(like the religious stuff in this case).

And for ex,I just can't forget the face of J.Lunsfords dad when in courtroom only a few feet away from the monster who killed her.You can actually FEEL his rage and despair. And then go and take a look at JR when talking about the same kind of "monster".

I KNOW what some Ramsey supporters will say ,people are different and react different.I KNOW.Still, the Ramsey's IF innocent must be from a different planet IMO>

Ohmygosh, I love Mark Lunsford! Of course, at first, when his daughter went missing, I suspected him but it didn't take long for me to realize he had nothing to do with his daughter's disappearance. Wish I could say the same about the Ramseys.

The only thing that seems remotely logical to me is that they were covering for Burke. I think the children lacked proper supervision. I think they missed warning signs. Children hurt other children all the time. On purpose and accidentally.

It strikes me as odd that after 15 years, no other Authorities have taken an active interest in the case. Is it simply a situation of not in their jurisdiction? Does it HAVE to be looked at purely by the local authorities? And even if it COULD be looked at by a different group, one assumes they would have trouble accessing the wealth of information held by the cops/DA/etc?

Jurisdiction is the biggest part of it.

At first when this case occurred I was of the opinion that it needed to be solved to punish the guilty party...to let them know that they can't get away with this kind of crap. But now Patsy's dead and I don't think John will ever be brought to justice for his involvement in the crime.

Now you're talking, llama! This case would have been the perfect opportunity to send a message. A message that no matter how rich you are or how great you think you are, you are NOT above the law. Not only was the opportunity miised, but a different message was sent: you CAN get away with it. I wonder how many people have tried because they saw how the Rs got away with it?

Damn skippy.

Absolutely! 100% right. And it doesn't even require that the cops make mistakes. A lot of those new rights granted to criminals are based on what cops MIGHT do.

Better 10 killers free than one innocent in jail?Dunno about that anymore, seems it's not really working!!!

It's not working at all!

I'd also do something about all these experts who testify that the earth is flat, all about the money.

Wouldn't be too many left afterwards!

DNA?Yes,lots of killers were caught, technology helps, but how many were freed because DNA allows so much spin??

Too damn many, from what I understand! Of course, I think we all agree that ONE is too many! (Ask my honest opinion, the Rs should be included in there!)

Jurisdiction is the biggest part of it.

Yeah, but a huge reason why the Ramseys got away with it is because of their money and connections. I would hope that someone else wouldn't be dumb enough to think their child could be found dead in their basement, and they would never be arrested. I feel like killers are more likely to "look up" to Terri Horman or Deborah Bradley, who have probably gotten away with murder simply because they hid the body well.

I get what you're saying, eileenhawkeye. In that regard, they learned from the Rs' mistake. But I'm talking a few other things. The Rs took OJ Simpson's "lie-and-attack-everything" strategy and raised it to new heights.
