There was just a brief recess called after a sidebar about an additional exhibit by the defense. The state and defense attorneys left with a state witness to the back room.

Defense moves in a statement from Dr. Petrites and the judge accepts it. It's unclear what the statement said, as it wasn't addressed in open court; however, that's likely why Petrites was called back for a meeting with attorneys.

State introduces a letter from the daughters. The judge warns that it becomes public record, and the state says they'd like it sealed. The state doesn't want it to be a public document. The judge has not agreed.
