Katie,

Your blog is great! I would like to introduce Jane Bashara's sister to it if you don't mind?
IMO, when that family gets through the trial she will need an outlet when her thoughts and realizations are creeping in.
She is a strong gal like you are and a writer to boot, I would love for her have a relief, a place to vent and heal.

Absolutely! An honor!

hey, I was just wondering what was the reversible error was that was committed re: parole info? Was it from Martinez? I kept hearing about something possibly being an issue but I'm not sure what? Thanks so much. I think hearing from the other jurors has made me feel better. Either way, Jodi will never get out of prison, and it will be hell on earth for her. I hope she lies awake in her cell thinking of all she's missing out on, her suffering, how quickly her looks are fading in there and thinks to herself, "was it worth it?"

AZ Lawyer who KNOWS ALL ABOUT THIS STUFF as it's her job, addressed this on the legal thread which I'm gonna go read myself. I heard it from her lips last night. I'll go find it for both of us. :) But this is huge and is making me see the silver lining shining. I also wrote the Alexanders this news this morning, fyi.

JM told the jury that if they voted life the killer would be eligible for a parole hearing after 25 years. JW objected at the time, as I recall, so an objection was on the record. THs said that day JM might have made a reversible error. AZLawyer posted more recently she leaned towards agreeing, that after looking up related law, M's wording probably would have made for a good appeal.

I've been looking all weekend..no accident I ended up getting together w/ AZLawyer last night and she handed it to me on a silver platter.

Absolutely! An honor!

You have inspired me with all you have done during the trial, I hope to do as much for the family during their trial.
We sold Justice4Jane items to get awareness and support out in our community but the family is going to need so much more during the trial!

Thanks for being such a great role model!

Here is AZ Lawyer's post, remember SHE is the one who discovered that damning evidence re: the Casey Anthony case...she knows her stuff.

Silver lining indeed!!

Will you be attending that trial? when does it start?

Thank you so much..that makes my whole life worthwhile to read something like this.

This is what I want to repeat to you. Something I said to a client this week about her pain pattern. There is something operating inside you that is bigger and more powerful than this pain you are experiencing.

That thing that is driving your heart to beat and your lungs to bring in a breath. It is STRONGER than what is causing you to feel limited and in any way contracted in your life. It is your very LIFE FORCE. (Edited to add, I said this to this client while we were waiting for a verdict this week. See how I was speaking to my own inner self with those words?)

Given the tiniest cracks and support, it will start to express itself in your life and you will be informed by this. You don't have to make it happen but receive it.

This life is precious, that I know for sure. And survivor guilt is a living breathing thing and has a huge impact on people in so many ways. It's an irrational belief system that gets stuck in the matrix of one's very being. But compared to that which stimulates a plant to grow out of the cracks of two big boulders with a blooming flower expressing itself out of it, that limitation is a speck of dust.

The best advice I think I can give to anyone is to start looking for signs of life in your life. That, for me, shows up in the form of serendipity, "coincidences", opportunities to see something from the eyes of an "aha" moment. things like that, the unexplained. Signs of grace.

Those are my touchstones. I invite any of you to start stepping on the ones your life is laying out for you uniquely and individually right along with me.

Thanks so much Kathy. You have given me hope in your words. I treasure them, and will carry them along in my journey to "self-improve" .. start living. I am too emotional right now to express more. But I hope you realize how special you are. Listen to "Calling All Angels". I'm sure you're very familiar with the song .. but to me .. that's you. Thanks for responding to my post. You have helped me more than you know. :seeya:

Oh my goodness, thank you thank you thank you, katie. And AZLawyer! Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. It makes sense since his wording was a little confusing. I remember thinking "what's wrong with that?" but he kind of made it sound like she WOULD be up for parole and I had no idea what "no procedure in place" meant. Wow. That could have been huge. That is yet another bullet dodged, another being a juror caught Horn's mistake before the DT could drag it out.

Not sure when it will start, everyone kinda hopes he pleads, he is in jail for attempting to have the hit man killed and ran out of mommy's money for an attorney so it's delayed and we doubt he will plead!

If she wants support in the court room a bunch of us will be there for her. She lives out of Michigan but has family here and a place to stay.

I'm saying! I'll take a new sentencing hearing over a new trial down the years any day. AZLawyer is going to be known as the Supreme Sleuth of all time. First Casey Anthony, now this!

What are you guys referring to if I can as?

In this blog, Z's son says before the trial his dad would like to have been famous, but he doesn't believe that's true now.

http://samirsdad.tumblr.com/post/51364319325/the-executioner-with-the-public-face

But the sentence that I found troubling was:
“And they know that on his watch, that criminal was not sentenced to die.”

(Trying not to read too much into that...)

On his watch disturbs me. To me it says a lot about his personality. His son also explains that the media were at his home waiting for him and spent the night in his home. So, when did he have the time to read online or watch tv to determine that arias was crucified in the media. Things that make you go hhhmmmm.

Whack - which state do you live in? Dental schools accept patients for students if you happen to live close enough to one. It's not free but very inexpensive.

KatieCoo, your blog is wonderful. Thank you.

You are ours and we love your heart and your sweet soul.

I want so badly for this jury foreman to know what we all know, to accept that he misread CFja.
For him to say she morphed into whatever after meeting Travis just cuts me to the bone. During her parents interrogation, they both said she wasn't normal.
Dr D even diagnosed her...and even if you weren't a follower of the whole trial, you know Dr D is pretty damn credible.

She cold blood killed him 3 times over, did something horrible to him for him to be that pizzed at her in the text messages, broke in his house, stalked him, etc.
How did this juror become foreman if he never took notes? We have posters here that took more notes.
Why didn't some other jurors report him if he was being so defiant?

Why no real deliberation? The note "IF we can't agree..." shows he wasn't open to it.
And YES something stinks to high heaven with how soon he hit the media. Most would do some googling...something.
And.....the *journalist* really really disturbs me. Really.

Mr Foreman, please find our many many many threads and links and timelines and spend a couple days reading.
She had a gun and knife hidden when she was arrested...she tried miserably covering her tracks to and from the murder. She WENT TO TRAVIS' MEMORIAL SERVICE....ACTED LIKE A GRIEVING FAMILY MEMBER.... explain please.

I'm hoping you found your 15 minutes pleasurable and I DO hope you do speak to CFja, and she chills you to the bone ...

Thank you for letting the family have another opportunity to find an unbiased jury for this penalty phase.

Beth Karas addressed this very issue after one of the TH's mentioned that it was reversible error. Beth said that what JM said was exactly what was on the juror questionnaire, so she did not think it would amount to reversible error. Also, she said the law has changed since Arias got arrested. So, the law that existed in 2008 would apply to Arias, not the new one. I am not an Arizona lawyer, I haven't read the cases or statutes, just reporting what I heard.

Ok, I realize this is O/T, but can someone please fill me in on AZLawyer's sleuthing in the Casey Anthony case? I wasn't around these parts during that trial...but now I'm so darn curious!

TIA.

Ok, I tried to enlarge the frames...I put pictures in the finished frames so they don't look so blah...do you like one of these?

I really, really want to hear the juror's, and particularly foreman's, opinion when they hear of those forged pedo letters. It really speaks to the depths of her evilness and depravity.
