KS KS - Lori Heimer 57, murdered in her Saline County home, 25 Jun 2016

DNA Solves
DNA Solves
DNA Solves
I have asked and she just said she doesn't know what the address is, but described it's location from her house. Sorry
Thanks for trying. Everyone has gone silent. People were very chatty in the beginning.

Have people become disheartened or have they
lost interest?

Time to batten down the
hatches. Matthew is on his
way and getting stronger. 😨

I don't believe anybody has lost interest, but day after day, NOTHING! Half or more of the older men arrested fit the description of the older guy, but are in for minor offenses, so there's not much to do search wise.

I don't understand.. this woman was murdered in her own home in broad daylight. Makes no sense. Figured sure there would be an arrest by now.
The town she lived close to, is it like really small? I am trying to get a sense of what kind of manpower LE has available, and if they are even doing anything. Had to be some DNA or something in that home, evidence of some sort. Has to be absolutely terrible for the family.

I still check in everyday but don't post as I have nothing to add. Thanks everyone for keeping Lori's thread bumped up and thank u glf for watching the local press for updates. I still hold out hope that Lori will receive justice.

I think I'll go back to the beginning and start all over.
Sometimes it helps to reread everything.

She lived in a rural area and the nearest town appears to be Assaria, KS, which had a population of 414 people in 2013.

The town she lived in, Assaria is a small place, about 400 people. But since this was rural, Saline County is in chg of the case. They're located in Salina, which has at least a pop of 40,000. May be bigger, that's just an estimate.

Unless the killers went deep sea fishing and got eaten by sharks, (we can hope anyway!) they are still out there, and can screw up and get caught at any moment.

“We’ve got tons of physical evidence” was reported a few days after Lori was murdered.
I guess “tons of physical evidence” is an exaggeration, or maybe just a figure of speech.
Does “tons” mean thousands, hundreds, ninety, fifty, thirty?

JUNE 29, 2016
Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan tells The Salina Post the crime scene . . . has been released back to the family of 57-year-old Lori J. Heimer, who was found deceased inside the home by a family […]
Soldan on Tuesday said agents from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and three full-time investigators with the Sheriff’s Office are following up on several leads and all evidence has been collected from the scene. “We’ve got tons of physical evidence and lots of leads to follow up on,” he said.

Or brutally kill another person and get away with it.

With all the evidence left at the scene, my belief is that they know who did this, but won't make an arrest until they are certain they have everything they need for a conviction. Or, DNA did not match anybody in the database, and they are clueless. But, like I said before, I can't believe that one morning these two jokers got up and said "I think we should kill somebody today." And hopefully, there won't have to be another murder before the killers show their hand.

Once again, here are the definitions for capital murder in Ks. Go to the boxed section. About 4 paragraphs down it clearly states what constitutes a capital murder. I seem to be wrong about burglary and robbery but rape qualifies. I do not know if she was sexual assaulted.

Let's remember JJB was booked on an ATTEMPTED capital murder charge. No one died as a result of his actions.

I just reread what constitutes a capital murder. It includes the attempt to rape as well. So, because none of us are privy to the details on what happened, only that it was murder...we don't know what happened at Lori's home.

But if you look at the charges next to his jail photo, you will see: Capital murder, kidnapping
and other bad things. Murder during the commission of kidnapping qualifies as capital murder.

Where did they come up with these charges? I don't know..maybe they grabbed them out of the air or made them up for fun.

None of those charges fit what happened to the 2 men he stabbed Saturday night except for the charges reported in the paper or the post which was attempted murder and attempted something else.

So...there you have it. I know what I think. You're all free to decide for yourselves.

Again, that charge is ATTEMPTED capital murder!

Terry, was there a robbery taking place when the stabbings occurred? Can you find out about the NCIS/outside warrant chgs? Thx.

I can look into it.

For those that have been asking about JJB's address. According to booking information at the time of his address, JJB was listed as 'Homeless'.

In a way, its sad to say he was homeless, but it is his own fault he has no friends. With a friend like him, a person certainly wouldn't need any enemies! I have zero sympathy for him.

But he did have friends. What about the 2 young men who were arrested trying to help him escape. How did he happen to get to the party on S. Penn in Salina where he stabbed 2 men?

So he was homeless. (or so that's what the booking report says per Terry67401) That's good to know.
But where did he come from?

Maybe the 2 vehicles seen by the husband in the area are red herrings. Maybe JJB and his buddies are red herrings.

I tried looking up fb for JJB, both men arrested for aiding escape and for the men who were stabbed that evening at Penn St.
And I found nothing!

Someone knows the story of the stabbings and and of the 2 who helped him escape, and where JJB came from. Somewhere in that muddled mess is an answer.
Maybe not what we're looking for
but an answer none the less.
