So we was in school on Friday? That helps pin down a timeline if he was indeed in school on Friday.

Who saw him Friday night/Saturday morning? Any phone calls, texts, SM during that time that would indicate what the stepmom was doing and that Lucas was indeed with her? Did she get together with anyone Friday night who would've seen Lucas?

jmo

About him being in school on Friday.... I don't know how it is in Kansas (maybe a Local can chime in) but here in Pennsylvania the kids were not supposed to have school on Friday but it was a make up day due to snowy weather. If its the same way in Kansas it could be possible he didn't have school Friday.

I wonder how long a shift on an oil rig is? I imagine it's pretty long. Expensive to transport people on and off

Here's another sick and sad thought- maybe there is no evidence at home or in the car. Perhaps you can guess where I'm going with this.....

“During a news conference Sunday afternoon, Officer Charley Davidson said officers and canine units had searched both his home and neighborhood with no luck.“ (BBM)

I’m not sure about the car specifically.

Also from the article:
“That same afternoon, more than a dozen Wichita police cars lined the streets of the neighborhood where Lucas was reported missing. Officers were seen going door to door questioning residents in the case.

Sunday evening, police officers turned their attention to the Chisholm Creek Park. About a dozen police cars, a canine unit and a Red Cross van were parked near the entrance to the park off of Oliver.

[SBM]

Davidson said police have found no evidence that points toward an abduction, which is why an Amber Alert had not been activated.” (BBM)

Reading between the lines, LE seem fairly certain that this isn’t a walk-away situation or a (stranger) abduction, IMO. Plus, they have been focusing on the area of the nature center for almost two days now.

All MOO ... :(.

This article states that the search has expanded to another park just to the north of the Great Plains Nature Center area.

Edited to add:
From the description that the article provides.....this is likely the large fishing lake area which is actually still a part of the same Chisholm Creek park area but is located to the north side of the K96 highway.

(Is this the same one where Pink has memories of making fake sushi?)

Thought I'd start a time line/list of things we know and questions we have.

Please feel free to add links...questions...things that we know for sure and then copy and paste if you want. This seemed to help a lot during the Lisa Irwin case.

Something went on in Lucas life for Dad to have custody. Is Mom in the picture? In Jail? Deceased? Wonder how Dad ended up with custody when he works out of state and is gone for long periods of time. Why would the courts agree to this?. Is this another case of our system failing a child? I realize not all children should be with their 'blood' relatives. There's been horrific cases of biological parents abusing children. It's just upsetting to me that a child was left with Dad's either wife or girflfriend when he had family.

Maybe no related, maybe not important, I don't know. Just thoughts.

5 yrs old. So innocent and young.

Edited post because my mind has failed me in regards to District 259s schedule.
I *believe* kindergarten was full day and Pre-K was half day but I am not sure. The info online is limited to just listing the schools that offer Pre-K programs, not if they are full or half day.

So there is something about the park area that is pulling LE there, but not to a specific location.

Maybe the stepmom mentioned to someone she visited the park in the last day or so???

If it were a cellphone ping, how accurate would it be - how close could it pinpoint location?

jmo

In addition to a tip, camera, ping, etc leading them to this location, I was thinking maybe something applicable to forensic botany (as they call it), certain type of soil, leaf...something specific to that "nature preserve"...maybe even a type of animal feces or hair...perhaps there were muddy shoes at the house....samples of course would take time to be sent off/ analyzed in a lab etc so perhaps not likely, unless it was something quite obvious, or they had such immediate lab resources available.

The reason I think of this specifically is because of a "Forensic Botanist" in Colorado I saw on TV. She is part of a genius group, forgot their name, who goes out to help recover remains in cold cases, iirc. She was able to locate a body waaay up in a mountain due to isolating a specific type of Aspen tree that only grew there. Iirc, there was something about the way the sun would face in order to facilitate the growth of this particular tree, hence isolating the direction/ spot on the side of the mountain of the remains.

Same here with that same schedule for head start- Mon- Thur.

So, if the father was gone because he was working 12 hours away in Texas and is usually gone for most of the week, and Lucas didn't have school on Friday, that could mean he was missing even before then. Ack, me thinks I need some fresh air, I hate these thoughts!

Yes. Most head starts are mon- Thurs. Fridays are teacher planning days to prepare for the next week. A lot of federal children programs run 4 times a week

It is very rare for a Dad to have 100% custody. Most states are 50-50 or the mother has 100%. But we don't know this history. There could be a really easy explanation or perhaps it was in the best interest of Lucas. But I am going to keep an open mind about that. Where are you lucas?? JMO

Hi Everyone,

FindLucasAllen is now a verified insider in Lucas's case.

Please continue to treat FindLucasAllen with respect and help her as much as you all can.

Remember FindLucasAllen does not need to provide links to her posts and it's up to you whether to believe what she posts or not.

Thank you

Relative of Lucas's is bio Mom's relative. She does spend time with him, and FindLucasAllen said they had a little birthday party for him back in December.

I read somewhere that the Mom lives out of state- NOT confirmed, that I can see in news articles, but a family member posted it on the news site.

I have no clue as to why he isn't living with bio Mom.

Could be, but this is happening so quickly, not sure a forensic botanist would been called so quickly and have been able to work so quickly. Lucas was reported missing on Saturday and the park was searched on Sunday.

Something led LE to that park though....

Still catching up...just wanted to say I have also been reminded of little Sherin Mathews' (and of course little Malik Drummond) quite a bit.
