Oh EK, you're a slow learner!

so what was his probation violation? (yeah.. I am taking a guess it was alcohol related)

Also looking forward to what ROHO has to say about "what really happened" (pfft)

Today's news:
Hollisters motions were denied, he will be deposed for the civil suit in June.

Kimmi has a new mugshot too.

This recording is from April when Eugene Kimmi was arrested after testing positve for alcohol (his probation was contingent on not using alcohol after his 3rd DUI):

:bump::bump::bump:

Thought RoHo was going to spill his guts and clear this all up for us???

RoHo needs to "get religion" to the extent that he gives up the other(s) involved, agree to testify, then do so, and then I don't care what happens to him - back to Hell as far as I'm concerned.

Alas, poor RoHo! (Not!)

Hollister files lawsuit against former attorney (Topeka Capital-Journal)
Convicted murderer Roger Hollister has filed a lawsuit seeking more than $1.5 million against a Topeka attorney who represented him during a murder trial.
---
Topeka attorney James Heathman represented Hollister during the trial, which took place in Atchison. Hollister was found guilty.

On July 11, Hollister filed a civil lawsuit against Heathman in Shawnee County District Court.
---
“I’m confident and satisfied in his representation from beginning to end,” Heathman said Wednesday evening. “Everyone involved did everything we could to ethically represent him. I deny all of the allegations. I’m bound by the rules of professional conduct and will respond to the details of his allegations in the appropriate form.”

I was thinking about Pat today and popped in to see if there was any new news. :seeya:

(snipped) ATCHISON — Convicted killer Roger Hollister made his way slowly with the aid of a cane to the front of a courtroom Wednesday afternoon to address Atchison County District Judge Robert Bednar.

Hollister, who is serving time in the El Dorado Correctional Facility, was in court for a motions hearing in the civil lawsuit filed against him by the family of slaying victim Patricia Kimmi.

The investigation into the death of Kimmi continues, said Atchison County Attorney Jerry Kuckelman. He said at least two additional people are thought to be involved in Kimmi's death.

"The investigation is still open," he said after the motions hearing. "There has been some progress made in the last month or so."

A real pisser... in effect, the judge has declared Rebecca Hollister to be innocent.

The court said the plaintiffs have raised three separate survivor claims and a wrongful death lawsuit against Rebecca Hollister.

“The plaintiffs have alleged (1) an intentional infliction of emotional distress; (2) a negligent infliction of emotional distress; (3) a civil conspiracy; and (4) wrongful death,” a court document states.

The judge, in his findings, said “the plaintiffs have provided no evidence to prove that defendant, Rebecca Hollister, intentionally inflicted emotional distress on Patricia Kimmi.”

“There is no evidence that defendant, Rebecca Hollister, participated in the abduction or death of Patricia Kimmi,” according to the findings.

About Eugene, he had a partial victory today too:

In a separate filing, Bednar grant Eugene Kimmi’s motion for summary judgment in part and denied another portion.
In the court document for Eugene Kimmi, Bednar said there is no evidence presented that would support a claim for negligent infliction of emotion distress. Therefore, he is entitled to summary judgment on this issue.

At the link there is also a PDF of the findings. Unfortunately, I can not get PDF's to work at all... I think I messed something up on my computer.

Judge Robert Bednar stays on the case, ruled Judge David King.

http://www.hiawathaworldonline.com/main.asp?SectionID=4&SubSectionID=21&ArticleID=7846

Confused though... the article says:
King's ruling prompted a lift of the stay of the related court activity, and the matter is set to proceed with pre-trial motions at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7 in district court.

Additionally, Roger Hollister, who is currently serving life imprisonment at El Dorado Correctional Facility, is set for transport from prison to attend the hearing in person.

I can't find anything reported about this hearing, supposedly to be held today.
