*Status Conference Hearing (@ 10:30am CT) - KS - Peyton L. (9), Kourtney K. Tyler (1) & Genny L. Fitzpatrick (30) mother killed in fire set intentionally by Kyle Tyler on Jan. 20, 2023 in Topeka. - *Kyle James Tyler (32/now 33) was arrested & booked (1/21/23) & charged (1/23/23) with 3 counts of 1st degree murder committed in the commission of another felony, 4 counts aggravated assault (arson) & 2 counts aggravated child endangerment. Bond at $1M. Shawnee County
Trial set to begin on 8/26/24. Trial on 8/26, 8/27, 8/28, 8/29, 8/30, 9/3, 9/4, 9/5 & 9/6/24.

7/16/24 Update: Minutes Entry. Misc. State by Steven Karrer, defendant in custody appears in person & by counsel Joshua Luttrell. Reporter Anson Pruneda. Defense has retained a new fire expert. Defendant will not seek a Daubery Hearing on States Expert. State advises it has provided all discovery to Defense. Defense ordered to provide discovery on its expert to state by 8/9/24. Next status will be used to determine whether discovery has been provided & what effect it might have on August Trial Setting. Status Conference is set for 8/12/24 at 1:30pm. 7/16/24 Docket update: Order (Generic); Judge's minutes. Index #33. 7/16/24: Notice-No Sheriff service required. Notice of Hearing. Notice sent.
