I believe they said she was missing for only 25 minutes.

I think it was 25 minutes from the time this baby was reported missing, until her body was found. I haven't seen or heard anything about how long she may have been missing, before a report was made. This is a small town. People feel safe here. We live on a small farm, but we drive through a neighborhood, that has 100 homes, to get to our farm. We are the only ones in this vicinity that have steel security doors, and that is to protect us from my ex, who is under a domestic silence order.

I had to run some errands yesterday and still, even after THIS, I saw multiple groups of children, walking down the highway and out alone. We aren't originally from here, but most people are. They grew up together, live close...They do feel safe. They should have that right to feel that way, but that isn't the way it is.....It's a very dangerous world.

"The Medical Examiners Office in Louisville will be performing an autopsy to determine the exact manner and cause of death," the agency said, adding that the investigation "is being handled as a homicide."

Gabriella's tearful father Brian Doolin told WSMV that he would love to hold his daughter one more time.

"Hold those babies tight," he added.

:tears:

If it's someone who has had their eye on her for a while, they may have known her patterns of activities during games and seized an opportunity. Sick sick evil person.

Right. I wonder if she had an older sibling who played in the game ? Does anyone know? Maybe she's been to lots of games and someone in the town saw an opportunity. Of course, in small towns where there is little to do the local football game is a ' night out' so she may not necessarily have a family member on the team or in the band.

I wonder who lives on Mt. Carmel Church Road. Maybe a sex offender was outed for living there; so the police headed there from the tip and stumbled across her remains by the creek. I would love for Forager to map this one out for us. Jmo. I would like a better understanding of the area.

I think her body was found by or in the creek, behind the high school. Mt. Carmel Church Road is 8-10 miles away from the school. There is open field, behind the high school, then woods, and there is a creek there. I think some of the classes actually study that area as part of biology or other courses. Kids also will sneak out there during school hours.....My daughter sure did, till I caught on.

article won't let me copy/paste. citing more MSM links (newschannel5 in Nashville) this is newish information (paraphrased):

- it was a post-season all-star jamboree in which her older brother was participating
- her cheerleading coach is quoted as saying gabby's squad was there but not in uniform
- troopers treating it as a homicide based on "the state in which the child was found and evidence at the scene"

So she has been at all or most of the games. I'm just so sick of predators. It's just so , so, so unfair . They're babies ! Leave them alone. Go kill each other and leave the babies alone!

not sure, schmae...the cheer coach said they weren't in uniform. but since her brothers play in the league, we can probably assume she's a regular face on the field whether it be as a cheerleader or spectating sibling.

"witnesses interviewed" led LE to the creek. if there were witnesses how come no one saw anything? this was a very short window of time (if indeed she vanished only moments before LE was notified) and a very small search area. this was one (or more) BOLD perp(s) IMO to commit a crime and leave the body so close to the point of abduction. can anyone find a good link of the creek? I looked on google earth but don't see one. there's a pond/reservoir to the southwest of the campus. not sure if that's fed by or into the 'creek'. I'd like to know exactly how far away the football field is from the creek...TIA!!!

sorry, brother. one brother.

Police say an autopsy conducted Sunday confirmed that the girl's death was a homicide. A police statement says further details from the autopsy couldn't be immediately released.

(snipped)

Meanwhile, media outlets reported that hundreds of people in the community attended a candlelight vigil on Sunday night in downtown Scottsville to show support for her family.

"I've never endured anything like this," said her father, Brian Doolin. "All I want to do is hold my baby."

He stood with his arms around Gabriella's mother, Amy, and brother, Alec, who both held candles.

After interviewing witnesses, KSP says police followed a tip that led them to searching property on Mount Carmel Church Road.

I also keep seeing reports that she had 2 brothers playing football?!?

______

Investigators say the stadium announcer called her name after her parents lost sight of her. After the third call, the game actually stopped and the community starting searching for the 7-year-old.

Yes, it was a little league football game, her brother was playing in the game, mother reported her missing at 7:40pm, she was found in the creek at 8:05pm.

After her mother reported her missing to the Scottsville Police Department at 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, authorities said "a search began immediately."

"The entire community started looking for her" after an announcement went out over the intercom, a family friend said, "A complete lockdown of the school" was enforced.

How wonderful was that, to have the entire community right there to start searching?! No wonder her body was found so quickly. How terribly sad for this family and this community, who no doubt, hoped and expected to find her safe and well.

Gabby Doolin was found in a creek about 400 yards away from the stadium.

http://www.wrcbtv.com/story/3052208...es-into-kentucky-childs-death-vigil-scheduled

This case is so strange! She went missing in a crowd, found dead in a creek 400 yards away, after being reported missing 25 minutes earlier.

Either someone was intent on killing her (family/friend) or there is way more to this story that we haven't heard. MOO!

I believe this is where people are getting two brothers from, also this is saying 30 minutes where most articles are quoting 20 minutes so who knows?

"Police said the first grader was watching her two older brothers play youth football when she disappeared. Her body was found about 30 minutes later."

http://www.wlky.com/news/investigation-underway-after-girl-7-found-slain/36471498

I haven't seen anything saying 20 minutes so I'm not sure others have said it, but imo giving a non-specific "about 30 minutes" could still mean 25 minutes.

The little league football season had just ended, and teams from other counties were in Scottsville for a series of all-star games that started in the morning. Gabby’s older brother plays for the Cowboys. This was Gabby’s first year as a cheerleader for her brother’s team, according Angel Carter, her coach of the Cowboys cheer squad. Their group, however, wasn’t in uniform Saturday for the post-season jamboree. Angel has known Gabby’s father since grade school, said she has 18 girls on her squad.

While Carter wasn’t at the game, she said parents told her that little boys were coming off the field to look for Gabby. The town was on lockdown.

I just checked Google Maps and Mt. Carmel Church Rd isn't behind the high school. It's a long road, but at the closest point, its still a few miles away. If the media reports are accurate about the location, it seems she was likely taken from the high school area by car. The person who gave the tip must have been searching in that area, or noticed her while driving along the road.

Reading more news media reports, it continues to be reported that she was found near the high school. The information about Mt. Carmel Church Rd. must be a reporter's error.
