I fully expect Kim Davis to run for higher public office in the near future. She clearly has an agenda. :moo:

It seems to me from statements her lawyers made today that Ms. Davis has no intention of obeying the law.

I won't be surprised if she's back in jail by Friday.

Wish I had the black cloak and authority to put her there...

'Thank you all so much, I love you all so much. I just want to give God the glory. His people have rallied and you are a strong people.
'We serve a living god who knows where each and every one of us is at. Just keep on pressing. Don't let down because he is here and he is worthy, he is worthy,' Davis said.

So.....we're NOT all God's people? I've been misled!!!

Kim Davis draws rebuke from Eye of the Tiger band after song plays at rally

The band Survivor has objected to the use of its song Eye of the Tiger during a rally celebrating the release of Rowan county clerk Kim Davis, who was jailed for six days after refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

“NO! We did not grant Kim Davis any rights to use ‘My Tune -The Eye Of The Tiger,’” they wrote on their verified Facebook page on Tuesday.

This woman reminds me too much of the woman who married a widower friend of ours. I think he was her 7th husband and she is known to use her "religion" to separate her husbands from their money. Our friend didn't make it out of that marriage alive.

And I agree, she has her own personal agenda and will totally use this publicity in any way she possibly can to further it.

Good, good, good! Can they sue her??? At least send her a cease & desist order!

This lady ruins everything! That song is so fun and easy to play on Rock Band! (Although truth be told "Helter Skelter" is my Rock Band SONG!!!)

Makes me sick too. They must be all family......................

CNN reported (via a live news broadcast the other day) that Huckabee arranged the rally, so it wouldn't surprise me if he also bused in some of the supporters and sign-wavers.

The notable thing to me is that the crowd there at the detention center wasn't really that large. I suppose that some folks in the area who may sympathize with Kim Davis weren't able to attend due to work obligations or what have you, but it's not as if she was met with such a huge crowd of supporters that justified the cable news networks devoting extended coverage to her release.

IMO, news coverage of her release primarily gave free publicity to Huckabee - which (also IMO) was the ONLY reason he was there.

Work obligations??? No way!! Supporting Kim Davis is god's work!! How could their employers dare expect them to work???

I wondered if that would happen too. I laughed so hard that they actually played Eye of the Tiger. How embarrassment! On a similar note, in Melbourne there have been anti-islam rallies that like to play classic Australian rock and country. Three or four musicians went on social media and said they didn't condone the use of their music for that cause. One was Jimmy Barnes and I forget the others. The anti-islam folk went into a spin, posting photos of burning CDs and calling Barnes a terrorist and traitor blah blah blah. Ya can't fix stupid!

I know - right? Don't they know they're entitled to a religious accommodation for their sincerely held beliefs - even if their beliefs inconvenience their coworkers or cause an undue hardship upon their employer?

After all, precious snowflakes deserve special treatment.

"The band Survivor has filed a $1.2 million lawsuit against Kim Davis and Mike Huckabee over the unauthorized use of its hit song “Eye of the Tiger."

Speaking with Billboard, band co-founder Jim Peterik said he was also not pleased with the unauthorized use of the song.

“The song has motivated thousands through the years to reach beyond their limits. Its use for the release of Kim Davis does not support my views or my politics.”
