At 6:53 a.m. on May 14, 2022 Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office (RRPSO) Communications received a call from Ware Youth Center (WYC) in reference to three escapees. Oncoming day shift employees discovered that three male juvenile residents, with help from a female WYC security guard, had escaped the juvenile detention facility approximately four hours earlier.

Video surveillance shows the guard, identified as Victoria Tune (W/F, age 21 of Red River Parish), transporting the three juveniles off the premises in a white 2010 Pontiac G6, Louisiana license plate number VWY295. The vehicle has a missing rear bumper and the direction of travel is unknown.

Each of the subjects were being housed at WYC for various felony crimes. TyJuan Lafitte, B/M, age 17, of Caddo Parish for Attempted First Degree Murder. Jeremiah Durham, B/M, age 17, of Bossier Parish for Armed Robbery. Na’Varaya Lane, B/M, age 15, of DeSoto Parish for Attempted Second Degree Murder. All three escapees were last seen wearing orange jumpsuits.

A warrant has been issued for Tune in connection with the escape. Anyone with information concerning the escapees and security guard is asked to contact the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-932-4221 or by dialing 911.

WhyTH did the guard escort them out of the facility? Was one of them someone she knew? Was someone paying her to get them out? Was she armed? --probably.
If they stay together, they would be more likely to be recognized.
I've read in MSM here in NC, of jail or prison escapes and seems that they are almost always found and put back into custody with additional charges. Most of them, however, were not with a probably-armed Corrections Officer as escort in a vehicle.
These 3 guys are dangerous -- they didn't just pick someone's pocket in a grocery store, etc. Do they already have a hide-out place?
They're young and they were put in the Youth Center for their crimes described above, and they got caught at least once. They may not be as smart as they think they are -- like so many youths are at their ages, regardless whether they are criminals or not. We'll see.

This again. How does a corrections officer abscond with 3 inmates at 3 o'clock in the morning and no one notices for 4 hours?

I just hope the narrative in the press release is accurate and that Ms Tune assisted them, instead of being a hostage of some kind.

(Unrelated sidenote but Do they call these places youth centers everywhere? When I think of youth center, I think YMCA, Boys and Girls Club etc not Juvenile Detention Center)

I live very near here, this is the parish I retired out of (we have parishes instead of counties) I do wonder if it is a copy cat of the Vicky/Casey White situation, But a 21 year old girl has no business being a CO at a youth dentention center, in my opinion. I would be willing to bet she had no training, other than maybe a employee handbook.
