So the land owner could say the bones were found in his rice field, which could also be the renter's back yard, where the renter reportedly found Lisa's remains under the boards?
Would that mean that Lisa was found in a rice field under some boards in the back of the renter's house?
If so, then it does make some sort of sense. It still seems weird, though, how different the reports are, IMO.
I think I'll just quit trying to figure it out, since it doesn't make that much difference in Mickey's case. She's still lost and needs to be brought home.
It could have been the land owner speaking or the renter, who farms someone's land, speaking.
I noticed that you were not from around here which is why I decided to reply to your posts. The main reason I joined this conversation is because a lot of people seem to be getting hung up on little details (which can be very important in these kinds of investigations) but locals realize that Cajuns are usually NOT very precise with their words.
Cajun culture is rich in oral tradition, great story telling, and is often a bit exaggerated. Precision in language is rare and I can see how some details of this case that don't seem to mesh could simply be explained by this cultural trait.
For example: I recently said "I can't believe I might have a serial killer in my own backyard". This was not intended to mean that BL is in my backyard or that I even live anywhere near him, but was just saying that this touches too close to home.
It's funny to me to see how difficult it is to determine what people from here might mean. I really think that our cultural tendency to exaggerate will make many many staments that come out hard to decipher.
