So the land owner could say the bones were found in his rice field, which could also be the renter's back yard, where the renter reportedly found Lisa's remains under the boards?

Would that mean that Lisa was found in a rice field under some boards in the back of the renter's house?

If so, then it does make some sort of sense. It still seems weird, though, how different the reports are, IMO.

I think I'll just quit trying to figure it out, since it doesn't make that much difference in Mickey's case. She's still lost and needs to be brought home.

It could have been the land owner speaking or the renter, who farms someone's land, speaking.

I noticed that you were not from around here which is why I decided to reply to your posts. The main reason I joined this conversation is because a lot of people seem to be getting hung up on little details (which can be very important in these kinds of investigations) but locals realize that Cajuns are usually NOT very precise with their words.

Cajun culture is rich in oral tradition, great story telling, and is often a bit exaggerated. Precision in language is rare and I can see how some details of this case that don't seem to mesh could simply be explained by this cultural trait.

For example: I recently said "I can't believe I might have a serial killer in my own backyard". This was not intended to mean that BL is in my backyard or that I even live anywhere near him, but was just saying that this touches too close to home.

It's funny to me to see how difficult it is to determine what people from here might mean. I really think that our cultural tendency to exaggerate will make many many staments that come out hard to decipher.

Does anyone know if his house burned before July 11 2011? I can find it burned in July but not a specific day

That is recent enough that if one knew where the house remains were disposed of, it may be worth a search.

You're absolutely right - I grew up in Texas and now live in Pittsburgh. So I appreciate you taking the time to enlighten me a little on Cajun language. It helps things make more sense to me!

Am I allowed to post photos I took of BL house and where he used to live? Also, does anyone know if family still lives at the Brasseaux address? And when the fire destroyed the home that was located there?:fence:

Welcome!

I think it's okay to post pics of the house if you took the photos.
We often have had locals on threads take pictures of various locations in cases.

You can reach a mod by clicking the red triangle at top right corner of your own post, and then typing your question in the box.

Which old home?

I visited his current home (before the one with bars) and then the Brasseaux address. Took pics of both with my phone... Just thought I'd share if I could.

Thank you for wanting to share.

Kind of think they would have already discarded it.

Doctors? Nurses? What say y'all?

I don't think the cultures/swabs would have been obtained unless there were signs of infection. Usually, we clean and flush the area very well and then stitch up using sterile technique. If its a dirty wound or bite would send home on antibiotics.

If they made DNA from a tissue culture they would still have it, IMO. But if they took the more routine culture that would have been trashed. DNA is made when they want faster, more accurate results on bacterial infections. If they took part of his finger tip off, they would still have that tissure, IMO.

First time posting here. I am an RN in an ER and can say with certainty that they would not test DNA on his wounds. The ER will test wounds for bacteria, but not DNA. Staff is only required to contact police about an assault if a weapon is used and it is then up to the police to file a report and do any further testing. The only time the ER staff collect forensic evidence is in a sexual assault case to my knowledge. Hope this helps, sorry if someone already cleared this up

Mothert, this may be of help.
I wrote in notes: "referenced his burnt house on July 15 2011".
However, sorry I do not have the link to this item.
Maybe it can help in your search.

Reliable source tells me that BSL vomited when questioned about MS. Wouldn't think this would be the response of a typical SK???

Sounds like a highly emotional response to me...something I personally have experienced when my mother died from cancer.

Maybe it was food poisoning or a virus, and unrelated. He doesn't strike me as the sensitive type.

Well I have a better question? Was it ever confirmed that she had a broken hyoid or was that just speculation from a fellow ws poster????

Fairest, I do not recall any official documentation in any MSM that states anything about the hyoid. I believe it is speculation on how a COD could have possibly been determined.

I'm new here but have enjoyed reading your posts. Has anyone seen this link? I can't possibly read all the posts I have missed out on. Sorry if its a re-post. This talks about his ex wife who is now remarried and where she lives in tx. It was very interesting for me to read.

It also has a picture of him and his mom. Someone posted way earlier that they have never seen a picture of him with his teeth showing....they show here.

I'm pretty sure this was just speculation. The cause of death was listed as "asphyxiation". Someone asked how they could tell on skeletal remains, and a poster brought up the fractured hyoid bone. That is common in hanging and strangulation, which of course leads to asphyxiation. But you can have asphyxiation in other ways too. Think pillow over face or plastic bag over head. Can also have compression asphyxiation, compression of the chest so as the lungs don't expand, as say in a person trapped with a heavy object on the chest.

Also, as a long time ER nurse I agree with the other posters who have already answered on the culture/DNA of the wounds. Cultures are done if the would looks infected, but DNA is not obtained. To go a little further with some of the other questions regarding the treatment in the ER, it's not uncommon for the ER to refer the patient to a specialist for further treatment/surgery, as in the hand injury needing a hand surgeon. Lacerated tendon does come to mind. Nohing life-threatening, but needing repair to obtain full function of the joint.

:welcome: jessielaine

Yes, we've seen this...and I personally don't think his step-mom should be in that picture with him on the website. JMO Just doesn't seem fair to me.
Glad you've joined us.

I also don't think it's fair that the writer of the article gave the name and location of his ex-wife. JMO

It's just speculation, but I wonder if he chose to own a white truck knowing how common they are and figuring it would make it easier for him to blend in, and harder to find him if the truck were ever caught on camera or spotted somewhere he shouldn't be. Since he owns a red Stealth, I imagine he would normally choose something more sporty and flashier if he wasn't up to no good.

That missing persons link is just someone's blog and not a very good one...the writer says he sexually assaulted Evangeline Parish...isn't that a place?? I sure hope it is not the victim from 1999's name...
