"Ezekiel was last seen at a walking track near Main Street and Mahler Street near the twin bridges overpass over the Intracoastal Waterway."

Ugh. I don't see the walking track on google maps but there's water all around Main Street and Mahler (Bayou Terrebonne) and the Intercoastal Waterway is nearby around the corner:

Video: A helicopter, a boat and several police cars were being used in the search for the missing child.

The Houma Police Department and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office are searching the areas of Bayou Terrebonne, as well as the Intracoastal Waterway for Ezekiel Harry. No arrests have been made and further information will be released as it develops, authorities said in a news release late Tuesday afternoon.

Police are conducting interviews and suspect foul play may be involved, according to the release.

Houma Police said they received a call in reference to the possible abduction of a 2-year-old near the 100 block of Mahler Street.

During the investigation, Houma Police contacted the mother, who initially stated she was along Bayou Terrebonne with her kids when a subject in a grey truck passed, grabbed her child and departed the area. Police said its investigation immediately developed information that the report released by the mother was inaccurate.

"Once arriving near the area of Bayou Terrebonne, adjacent from Mahler Street, Maya Jones went to nearby residences stating her kid was abducted," the release said.

A spokesperson with the Terrebonne Sheriff's Office confirmed that the department was assisting with a search near Terrebonne General Medical Center, but could not release any information beyond that.

*Oh man, this isn’t looking good for little baby Ezekiel…

Police report that Jones left walking from her residence on Cadiere Street with Ezekiel and her other three children. Once arriving near the area of Bayou Terrebonne, adjacent to Mahler Street, Maya Jones went to nearby residences stating her kid was abducted.

This investigation is still ongoing, however, police suspect foul play may be involved.

Ugh. This reminds me of a case a few years back where a mother claimed her child was taken from a park restroom. Turned out to be a lie and like Ezekiel's case LE quickly found holes in the story.

I wonder how old the other kids are - I suspect they may have something to tell LE even if they're young.

ETA: The children's ages range from 5 to 10.

Houma police said they determined Jones was seen walking from her home on Cadiere Street with Ezekiel and with her three other children between the ages of 5 and 10. Once arriving at Bayou Terrebonne near Mahler Street, Jones began stopping at nearby homes, saying her youngest child had been abducted.

It doesn't even sound like Ezekiel was there? I foresee warrants! Praying for this poor child.
Found Deceased

The body of missing two-year-old Ezekiel Harry has been discovered in Houma after the child was reported missing earlier Tuesday.
The child's grandmother told WWLTV's Meg Farris that she received a call shortly after 6:00 pm.
The grandmother collapsed and started sobbing, telling family members that the body had been found.

Houma police say that Jones left her Cadiere St. home with her three children and traveled to the area of Bayou Terrebonne adjacent to Mahler Street. Jones then proceeded to go to nearby residences saying her kid was abducted.

WWLTV’s Meg Farris interviewed Harry’s father and other family members from the father’s side of the family. Farris said that the mother and father are separated and in different relationships.

“I feel that you, as the mother of the child, shouldn’t be changing your stories on Ezekiel’s whereabouts,” Harry’s father said.

Harry’s grandmother spoke about his presence.

“We had him over every weekend, he was a great child,” the grandmother said. “I hope he comes home safe.”

Farris interviewed Harry’s family members near a waterway that police were searching.

“There’s gotta be something going on in this area for them to come this way,” the grandmother said.

Note: Only WWLTV is reporting that Ezekiel's body has been found. I've checked the other stations and no updates. So either someone jumped the gun or the other stations aren't following the story closely.

Nothing in Twitter, haven't checked Facebook yet.

Confirmed.

7:12 p.m. – Louisiana State Police have cancelled the Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory issued earlier today on behalf of the Houma Police Department for 2-year-old Ezekiel Harry of Houma. The child’s body has been found. The Houma Police Department plans to issue a statement shortly.

On this date, shortly before 6pm, Houma Police located the remains of 2 yr old Ezekiel Harry on the Westside of Houma on Daspit Street. After further investigation, Houma Police detectives were able to ascertain information that the remains of Ezekiel Harry were disposed in a trash can on Daspit Street.

At this point, the mother, Maya Jones, and her live-in boyfriend, Jermaine Robinson-37 yrs old also of Cadiere Street are in custody relative to the disappearance of Ezekiel Harry. Both suspects are facing charges relative to 1st Degree Murder, Obstruction of Justice and other related charges.

Once the suspects are officially charged, additional information will be released.

So Ezekiel wasn't found in the water but in a TRASH CAN on Daspit Street. Thrown out like garbage.

I just want to point out that the picture above is of Ezekiel's father, not the boyfriend.
