Investigators: Woman's torso found in Miss. linked to New Orleans

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. - Investigators from Hancock County, Miss., are on their way to New Orleans to speak with authorities in the case of a woman's torso found on the beach in Bay St. Louis, Chief Deputy Don Bass told WDSU.

Bass said the case involving a woman's torso that was discovered on the beach in Bay St. Louis is linked to New Orleans.

That is truly horrible! Just because they are dancers, doesn't mean they don't matter. That makes me truly sick. Bad job, NOPD. I don't remember ever hearing about Hillary. How horrible!

Yes, I was aware of her, but she's already been eliminated as a possibility iirc. He was right-there are definitely "several". None I've found so far match the description though (older women).
 
From what I'm reading and the condition of the body, it almost sounds like a mafia style execution. Not that I know personally about the mafia, but I've read about how in the past things were handled. If so, it could be anyone. Is the much mafia in the Bay St. Louis area associated with the casinos there?

I've been googling to see if I can find an article on her death and have not found one yet, just other stuff.

Is there really no news story of her death?

They knew each other from work, they both worked at Temptations....Hillary was from Bay St Louis....

The work of the FACES lab is truly wonderful. I just cannot go on that sight without getting physically sick at the number of souls whose bodies were in such bad shape they needed the FACES lab to identify them.

On another note, I wonder how many woman are missing from the New Orleans area? There are times when the missing people aren't reported, or the police do not alert the public. There may be a lot we don't know.

Sadly, dismemberment's are becoming more common these days. Think Lauren Giddings, Laura Ackerson and oh Lord, more names are escaping me at the moment.
