Ok I called it into sheriff dept. she lives outside of city limits but ON UNIVERSITY so it struck me as odd.... I'm sure it's unrelated but the vibe I got is someone wanted to get rid of a boat but didn't do a great job cause it's halfway sticking out of the woods. No driveway no residence. Just a tree line off the highway. Wish I could post a picture cause I have 2 but don't know how to

Hopefully it's related to the flooding in Carencro a couple of months ago. I know there are still places being cleaned up.

I'd like to see the pics but have no idea how to get my info to you w/o putting it here publicly. Would you please post them when you get a chance?

I sent a pm. Hope I'm not breaking the rules cause I don't really know what they are

But that would mean he would have had to already know her route would'nt it?

I don't like to mention this, but I think you might be answering yourself. ;-D

I'm thinking about a cup of tea with a shot of something more interesting because !JEEZ! - Nothing's happening!

Maybe he had been stalking her for some time. If he managed to get her without any cameras catching the episode (whatever happened), then maybe just maybe he had been watching her for long enough to have an exact spot in mind. I'm just throwing that out there as a possibility.

Woe.be.gone

There are lots of camps out in that area that are accessible by only boat, not public. Some just shacks, really, on a spit of land in the midst of the swamp. I've always wondered if it's something of a squatter thing; I have no idea if these structures are there legitimately.

I mean say this is the same white truck, (gosh I hate to start this again) that is caught headed toward University, caught on cam in front of the Circle K. Where would he have turned around to get to this point in the picture where the old car is seen?

So, when the FBI came down here, they didn't help put together the profile? I guess I watch too much "Criminal Minds" because I know on there they racially profile in a way that I guess is incorrect. Imagine that, TV misrepresenting how things are done. lol
I am likely wrong then about why the killer was said to be white, but we were specifically told even after the FBI was in on the case that the killer was likely white aged 25-35. There was a witness in the Kinnamore case that said she saw a woman slumped over in a white pickup on I-10 that got off at Whiskey Bay. The witness described the drive as a thin white male. This likely only added to the confidence of BRPD and the FBI that the killer was white. If the FBI didn't disagree with the profile, then that is just as bad as signing off on it, imo. The profile was sooooo wrong, since Lee was not white, nor was he thin (muscular).

There really isn't any sense in arguing about how the investigation was done, somehow DTL was caught and will never be free again. For that, we can all be thankful.

BBM: Maybe I wasn't clear enough on my post. Yes, the FBI Behavioral Science Unit did help with the profile. In fact, a profiler was involved. However, the whole profile wasn't printed for the public to see until after DTL was arrested. The "Task Force" released only certain parts of the the profile.

And yes, I know all about the PM case where it was reported that the killer was white. Someone was wrong...

Well, I am sure DTL has Federal Appeals left, but the chances are of him getting out are slim to none, and slim just left town! LOL

ETA: IMO, JMO, :moo:, and all other disclaimers....

I've been super busy lately, have they identified the driver of the white truck or ruled them out?

I'm not an expert but I did go to the zoo one day and they threw our frozen chicken to the gators who didn't budge. The keeper said it was due to the temperature. I think it was hot that day at the zoo. It's been really hot here. Maybe that's it.

I'm no expert, but I got this from an expert of sorts :waitasec:... Troy on Swamp People said on a recent episode that gators eat more/bite more when it's HOT! (Ooops... giving away my secret passion!....)

I'm drinking tea too, but with nothing interesting. I'm 8 months pregnant and unable to sleep most nights (how I found this site). I could use a drink.

When I get home I'll try to upload to Facebook then post a link to my profile. Again I hope I'm not breaking the rules inadvertently. I can also text from my phone to an email address if anyone wants

I've been 8 months pregnant at this exact time of year. I hope you are sitting under a vent. It's HOT out there!

You know, I wonder if anyone's ever compiled data on pilots.

They touch down all over the world for a few hours at a time.

More invisible people.
Maybe a social historian could work on that. One of the reasons the TX-LA killer came to anyone's attention was due to a now deceased UL history grad student's work & another social historian.

St Landry is plenty wide enough to do a u turn.

I had a stalker for about ten years. Tenacious, patient, crazy person.

For the rest of my life I know that if I cross his path at the wrong place at the wrong time, I'm done for. He could be 90 years old and harming me would still be his fondest wish.

So I guess I still have a stalker, eh?

A stalking personality never, ever gives up.
