I am under the impression that the family never did hire Johnny. From day one Johnny was engaged by a private donor /concerned citizen. It wasn't until a couple of weeks into this that the family made an announcement that they had engaged Johhny as if it were a new development. Johnny had been on the case from the beginning as far as I knew. I think someone needs to ask this family, are you paying Johnny? if so, when did you start paying Johnny? If Johnny is not being paid by the family, he only then answers and is responsible to the person who writes his check. Anyone in the community can hire a PI to research whatever they want, including this case, and Charlene Shunick has NO CONTROL over that AT ALL! I hope ACI is successful and I'm very glad he is being paid separately from the family. Our community needed that. With all the politics going on with our police department, and the apparent politics withing the MS social media team which appears to consist of young adults who don't have a lot of life experience in this sort of thing(who would?), maybe a professional who is not emotionally attached can figure this thing out. Whoever his private funder is.........THANK YOU!
How much did you donate?
Our local paper went out and did an extensiive piece on the community effort and the money raised by the restaurants , etc. They personally interviewed all the companys they could find and did a really nice article about the community effort. the article indicated that just the ones interviewed put it at 50k and that did not include the concert with the givers. You can find the article in The Advertiser. The family did not participate in the article even though they were asked. When the article came out, Charlene Shunick and Christina Silvetti posted in their FB that the article was all lies. So these people are lying that they contributed funds to the effort? What was that all about? can someone tell me?

Again I believe the vehicle they are looking for is White Z71 Chevrolet Silverado not a GMC! I believe the GMC was the truck dismissed out of the 3 vehicles in question.

I know everyone is tired of the white truck, but for the sake of conversation and keeping the thread going I went onto Craiglist where people who need to get trucks gone in a hurry go to. Its interesting i found one poster who posted the same truck like 5 times, while not showing the drivers side or gas cap.
anyway, lol dont hate me for posting these

do you fine folks think i should expand the search area? and where?
My understanding is LE does not have much funds this is not because of the mickey case their money issues were way before but thank you for those facts you gave!!!!!Donations for police overtime and the reward are being accepted at Community Foundation of Acadiana "Mickey Shunick Fund." Those donations are tax deductable. For more information contact Linda at (337) 769-4840.

IIRC, the community center was accepting donations in Mickey's name to help fund LE overtime, something I find ridiculous, IMO. LE is paid by the taxpayers and government to investigate crime already.
Mickey is still missing. As a local, I find that way more important than how the money is being spent.
Also, I want to remind people that The Commuity Foundation was there and available to help with the accounting of this effort. They set up right away and withing a couple of days they made announcements that they had an account set up thru the foundation. This is what they are designed to do. I'm not sure how much money they raised, but I did notice that no effort was being made to strictly utilize their foundation. it seemed to be competing campaigns going. So while I understand had overwhelming this is for a family, the tools were in place for them to have it done by professionals with absolutely no worry. Also, A CPA offered as well, free of charge, to manage all of that and make certain that there was an accounting. that was referenced in The Advertiser article. BTW if I am not mistaken the community foundation got involved in the very beginning as the facilities of the reward money, so that was in the first 48 hours, right?
the articles are in the June 10 edition of the advertiser. I can't link it because now you have to pay for a subscription and I am on my iPad and have already used my free seven day trial. But if you go to theadvertiser.com they wrote three articles on that day and one of them is entitled ".....wanted to give back" or something. please read the blogs underneath the writer tells us that all of his facts are true and the Shunicks did not want to participate his his piece. I thought it was a very nice piece about our community effort. I don't understand the attack that was launched against the paper by Christina Silvetti and Charlene Shunick. Our newspaper and media has dedicated a ton of their own resources getting the word out about this girl, and I thought the article was a good one.
