Catahoula Parish is quite a distance from Youngsville, LA. Youngsville is in Lafayette Parish.

The original press release from Catahoula Parish re: the body found in the river stated that it was a male (which we now know is incorrect) with height approximately 5'9" and weight 150-180lbs. Clothing on the body was a white tank top and blue boxer-type shorts.

The height and weight are in the range you would expect if this was SH... but the clothing isn't. I could see her maybe wearing a tank top under a hoodie... but NOBODY wears boxer-type shorts underneath leggings. OVER leggings, perhaps...

On 8/10/22, the official Catahoula Parish Sheriff account (in a reply to a comment) noted they were still awaiting DNA test results for the Jonesville UID. I'm not sure if the press release was edited recently but it only says female with estimated age range of 20-40, no height/weight or race listed.

Still no real progress it seems.
I’m literally 30-40 mins north of Shreveport. There has been zero talk of this case. I took a hiatus from WS for a bit due to surgeries and other life stuff, and I am ashamed to admit this is the first I’ve heard of this case.

Did I read correctly that at one point, they thought she was headed toward Blanchard?

There are so many bodies of water in that area. This is especially true, if you drive out about 30 mins. The Red River, 12 Mile Bayou, Caddo Lake, Cross Lake, Lake Bistaneau, the Sabine River and many others.

I just hope this young lady is found safe and returns home to her family.
I was thinking about all the water possibilities also. There’s quite a few.
I still can’t figure out why she was parked at the Towers?
And I really can’t believe there’s been zero about this lately on our local news! I’m going to email someone that I know that might can get something moving with a particular news station. Don’t know if it will work, but can’t hurt to try?

You’re description of Shreveport now is spot on, sadly. I try to avoid the area if I can and go to Bossier. Love your username lol. ;)

Like you the Louisiana Tower thing, puzzles me. It did from the get go. That’s an office building. It’s closed that time of morning, I’m sure. Has she ever worked there? Does she know anyone that works there? Even if she does, would she intentionally go there at that time of morning?

There is water ALL over the area. That’s been on my mind a lot.

Back in the 80’s, I was a bar person. I hit the bars, on the riverfront, every weekend. This was before the casinos were even a thought. It was safe back then. There were bands playing in every bar and the cops rode around on horses. Nothing bad ever happened back then. I think 1985 was the last good year, down there. Maybe 1986

Fast forward 35 years and everything has changed. Shreveport is a very dangerous place, after dark. I would advise everyone to stay away from downtown, North Market street, the Red River District and a whole lot of other places, after dark. It’s just not safe anymore. Unfortunately, a lot of people aren’t aware of this.

There are a lot of very dangerous people in Shreveport. The entire criminal justice system, in Caddo Parish is broken. The punishments do not fit the crime. Violent predators are being handed sweetheart deals, for pleas. I could go on and on, but you already know this, I’m sure.

I have visited with several Shreveport police officers, over the years. All seem like nice guys that really care about the city, but they are burning the candle at both ends. They are short staffed and work mandatory overtime. They are tired. Most can’t wait until they can retire.

I would definitely encourage you to try and get this story on the news. This young lady has a family that loves her. They deserve to know what happened to her. I just hope and pray this nightmare has a happy ending.

Oh, and thank you for the compliment on the user name! I wanted something unique!

Still no news? Where are you savannah
I really, really, really, wish Adventures with Purpose would at least take a look at Savannah's case.
Agreed. If the timing is correct from the reports, it would have been light out.

No matter the time of day, North Market is always busy, so now I’m questioning the water angle. I don’t think she would’ve wound up in the water in that area because someone surely would have seen something that morning. Maybe?

I wish we knew where the BF lived because that would help in knowing her travel.

I read somewhere that she may have traveled to Blanchard, which is not far at all from North Market. However, depending where she was headed in Blanchard, there are many roads that turn wooded and curved on the outskirts. If that is the case, she could possibly have wrecked and been covered by thick vegetation and forest. IDK... just trying to think of areas to search.

This video has some information about the water searches done early on.

Geaux Rescue

***Update -we were just informed that Shipp Media is running Savannah billboard on EIGHT billboards around Savannah! AMAZING! Let's work together to find Savannah!

On behalf of Savannahs Family and Geaux Rescue, we would like to thank Mr. Tommy Roberts and his employees of Lamar Advertising of Shreveport-Bossier City and ShippMedia.com for putting up Savannahs information on at least 6 electronic billboards around Shreveport. Savannahs information will be displayed over 750 thousand times the week that it runs. Lamar and their clients donate time on their billboards for missing persons throughout the country. We are lucky enough to have a great working relationship with Lamar Advertising and their regional offices to facilitate the display of missing persons information for the families that we assist. Words cannot express the gratitude we have for Lamar and their employees.

The locations of these billboards will be I-20 & Market St., E. Texas St. & Traffic St. (both sides), I-49 & I-20, Benton Rd. & Old Minden and the Shipp Outdoor Advertising locations.

Our goal is to help locate Savannah or obtain any information on her whereabouts.

There was a case a couple of years ago where two women wrecked their car on a curve. It was just right off the road in thick vegetation the whole time. LE searched the area and missed it, wish I could remember their names. It was two younger women.

I like your thought about searching curved roads with thick vegetation.

I remember that too!!! I think they were missing for like 2 weeks or so?

If she did indeed head to Blanchard, I think it’s very likely this could have happened. MOO

Sorry, I've stepped away from this case for a bit and not familiar with the area. Why would she have headed to Blanchard? I read a post about where bf lived, but can remember the name. It was a small second dwelling on his grandparents property, that I do remember.

I don't know how to post a bing map link which holds my search, lol.
I see what you mean, it does look like there are areas you could go off the highway.
