He lists all of his properties, a condo downtown, a home at Maple Gate, an airport hangar, a couple other properties.

Shirinian says she never asked to see any of the deeds to the properties to confirm he was the owner.
 
What is the point of his questions ? I don't get it, to make it clear that he was with others while with CN? It sounds like there was a lot of friction between CN and Laura. Big sordid mess and Laura ends up dead.
 
what is the point of all this dating talk...DM just wants to relive his glory days.

I wonder if there are missing women, escorts, who may have taken an ill fated boat ride with DM.

Looks like he's trying to establish reasonable doubt about his relationship with CN. Wasn't exclusive - attracted lots of women because of his "well known" wealth. Crowns case is based on a "love" triangle.. DM is trying to establish that there would have been no triangle.

At the time, she mentioned "sketchy people" in Babcock's life.

Shirinian agrees there was sketchy people, but only in the final months before she disappeared.

Millard asks about Babcock and self harm. Shirinian knew she banged her head against a wall and cut herself.

Millard says the last time Shirinian talked with Babcock, she was meeting up with two guys. Shirinian said Babcock "said she was meeting up with two guys to talk about a business opportunity and she wanted me to come along." Shirinian wasn't interested and didn't go.

I feel this trial is going to be similar to the TB trial in that all these attempts by the defense at the beginning to offer a possible alternative story will be quickly forgotten once the forensic experts and hard evidence is presented.

Straight to indictment facts will be presented soon. IMO

Shirinian says "You said something inappropriate, but you were always saying things that were inappropriate."

Millard, "Obviously nothing's ever happened between us?"
Shirinian, "Obviously."
