Just managing to read up on today's court proceedings and read a bit from yesterday's post on WS first so I don't know if this has been answered yet. Re: LB's passport. According to Ann B's write up April 15, 2014. Perhaps the trip to Disneyland or Vegas didn't get to happen because two evil beings murdered her before she got the chance to go. MOO.

Also, last link article from CBCnews has photos of JT, the young lady with magenta hair who was a witness and allowed LB to stay with her, DM's exhibit photo of him and AM with their coloured Mohawks and also a photo of LB's mom arriving at court. MOO.

Police appeared to have not suspected foul play in the disappearance of Babcock, despite the fact she’d been missing for months, had left her passport with her parents, and had not made any financial transactions nor used her health card or phone since June 2012.

What jumped out at me from that article was that her health card had not been used since, either. For someone who sounded like she was at the hospital/doctors regularly, that is a big red flag - to me anyway. I’m sure there are many ways to explain it away, but it still caught my attention.

In the video of LB meowing it looks like Laura is wearing the necklace she is report to always be wearing. Sorry forget the name for the pendant. Maybe the pendant turned up somewhere? If not, the video shows she still had it close to when she was last seen. MOO

Someone mentioned earlier about whether the incinerator was at the hangar for awhile since it was not mobile yet. I remember hearing a news report that the image of Smich with the incinerator was taken at the hangar. At the time, I thought it was a reporter error and that the incinerator was actually at the farm. I can't remember who the reporter was but it may be from CP24 (Christina Tenaglia?) or Lisa Hepfner.

Yes, he needs to discredit all these witnesses. Like the guy yesterday who in his police report said that he saw her on July 11 (I believe). Millard should have pushed harder on that. When did you realize it wasn't her? Did you change your statement only because it didn't fit the timeline? That claim was a big opening for Millard and I think he let it slide. I guess that they might have been easily able to confirm who it actually was (via the agency), so it might have been better to raise the question and let it go without fully answering the question.

Personally I doubt any of LB's customers would be truthful about whether they had sex with her. DM is an idiot but I will give him some credit that he likely realizes he probably wouldn't get an honest answer out of these guys anyhow. And for all we know, perhaps he has already been instructed by the judge or his representative that that line of questioning is totally out of bounds and not allowed. Remember how DM asked SL if LB was his first sex partner and the judge told him he was out of line in that sort of questioning...same difference with these guys. It's pretty apparent as she was working in that line of business AND these guys sought her out. That line of questioning is not relevant and open to common sense.

These men who used LB through the escort service and the ones who worked for it were called to set the groundwork for the Crown to show LE did a thorough investigation and spoke to those who had been in contact with her in the last while of her life. Regardless of whether LE did their investigation as soon as LB was reported missing in 2012, by SL and her parents or after DM was arrested for TB's disappearance, a thorough investigation was done and that's what the Crown wants to prove to the jurors.

The Crown is bringing these witnesses forward to show these people were not responsible for LB's disappearance and they have the right people in custody for her murder. Had they not called these people, as sketchy as some of them seem, the Crown would have left that reasonable doubt wide open in the minds of the jurors because they have had other witness (friends) testified LB was working as an escort just prior to her murder.

BUT through all of this, I feel certain the Crown will have the damaging evidence via text messages, photos, computer information, cell phone information, perhaps DNA found from the barn or on the incinerator and whatever else to connect these two idiots to LB's murder. We already have the damning circumstantial evidence of the one (only one at this point) text message DM sent to CN and the photos of MS with the rolled up blue tarp taken out at the farm, with the incinerator. Wait until we get the specialist/professionals on the witness stand to provide the direct evidence. The Crown always seems to save the most damaging evidence for last so it's fresh in the jurors' minds when they are sent to deliberate. The water will become crystal clear I bet. Right now the water is muddy because the Crown is only giving evidence right now, to clear up any reasonable doubts the jurors might have had (had they not brought these men forward as witnesses) considering LB's life choices the last while of her life. ALL MOO.

I know, and the thing with murder is it's hard work. It's not just wham bam you're dead and burned. You have to have the mental capacity for it. Just want to add my Guinea pigs live outside in a hutch in the summer, so that wasn't in my house that happened lol

I just looked at the timeline I've been keeping since the beginning and there are some things that I had forgotten about in the early years. I wish I had noted the sources.

I wonder if the last 8 calls made to DM were not made by LB at all, but by someone else in possession of her phone after she was ‘taken care of’. Including the access to voicemail if the person knew/guessed her code. MS seemed to have a lot of issues with his own phone (revealed during TB trial when he would borrow MM’s phone), so maybe he used LB’s to contact DM. Just a theory, MOO of course.

Seems more likely it is the end of their case in regards to her lifestyle. End with mental health disclosure and jump right into the forensics of phone records etc

I think I did view it and then it was taken down, it was gruesome and they said acting I don't know. I mentioned it to people and they said it was all acting. Now what I know of MS I don't know it was bad.

Here's a different perspective and of course MOO.
Maybe it was CN who was threatening to spills the beans on DM's illegal activities - perhaps only threats but none the less. CN was pressuring M to remove LB from their lives or she (CN) would talk.

And for the other way around, there was a Facebook post where LB aka ER said, "I'm in love with a criminal" or something of that nature, so I suspect she knew of his crimes. Then again, lots of his friends knew what he was doing as they were his minions. IMO they know A LOT MORE than has been spilled.

I had the privilege of working in an office a couple doors down from the Morgue in a Hospital for a few years. During the summer months Gus would come over with his jar of Vicks and tell me that I may want to put some under my nose today. This was normally when someone had been a few days to a few weeks in the heat before being discovered.

I'd read that about police. I took a jar of Vicks into a senior's home recently in case it was a pee-smelly place.
