Now he talks about advertisement. He had several websites, that showed pictures of women.

Abouhav is a large middle aged man with a shaved hair. He wears a grey T-shirt, black hoodie, and a large gold chain.
by Shannon Martin 11:42 AM

On Babcock's first night, she met with a client. A few hours later, a driver arrived to pick her up and she gave the driver some money.

She said she'd take the subway home, but the witness says Babcock went back to the client's home.

"Most of the ladies go back to the client's house... this happens all the time."

When she came back to the office the next time, he told her she should only go back when there is someone with the service.

She told him she liked the guy, he worked in the film business.

The first night #Babcock worked, the escort agency worker tried to pick her up but she said she'd take the subway & went back to client home

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now44 seconds ago
The second time #Babcock come back to work, Abuhav told her she wasn't supposed to stay with clients. She told him she liked the guy.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now41 seconds ago
The client she liked was "in the film industry," #Babcock told Abuhav. He says he forgave her for staying with him rather than leaving.

I'm with you on this.. I think it's highly possible that she was pregnant, and that DM was the first and last to know.

Her escalating use of drugs tells me no. LB had many flaws, but deep inside she was a good person. She cared for her dog and I believe she would care for an unborn child.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now35 seconds ago
The film industry client lived between Bathurst & Dufferin, Abuhav says. #Babcock stayed with him, she told boss.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now26 seconds ago
Crown wants to know payment information. #Babcock came out to give money to escort agency worker -- half of $260-300 an hour, he says

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now1 minute ago
"She had issues with anxiety, and maybe some drug problems," Abuhav says of #Babcock. "She was restless."

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now34 seconds ago
Abuhav didn't see #Babcock use drugs but identified the symptoms "because I've seen it before."

Crown asks witness about the payment arrangement. He says the escorts get half. He charged $260 - $300/hour.
"She had some issues," he told the court. "She was restless."
He never saw Babcock use drugs, but he's seen many people use cocaine. He says he knows what it looks like.
by Shannon Martin 11:51 AM

"She wanted to be an actress," he tells the court.
The Crown asks, what kind of actress?
"Hollywood, he smiles."
by Shannon Martin 11:51 AM

This must be so brutally difficult for Laura's parents.

You must be right. Apparently defense passed on cross. It's hard to follow. No mention of that in the tweets but we're on to the next witness.

The cross will come later. There is a real mixup in the court with the witnesses today. They went out of order so the cross examinations will come after this witness I guess.

I'm with you on this.. I think it's highly possible that she was pregnant, and that DM was the first and last to know.
Is it not clear nowsdays that you have to wrap it up. I don't care what kind of seemingly carefree habits and lifestyle someone has, I don't see someone who is sleeping with multiple people, one of which is working as an escort, not using protection.

I don't see there being a pregnancy. JMO.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now20 seconds ago
On website, #Babcock went by the name Elle, which is what her mother recognized. Abuhav said he hadn't seen Laura but would call if he did

"Her mother called looking for her."

The last time he'd seen her was when he told her to taxi and leave the office.
by Shannon Martin 11:56 AM

The witness recalls his conversation with Linda Babcock:

"I told the truth. She was there, but I hadn't seen her."

He said if he heard from Babcock, he would tell her her mom was looking for her.

Crown Jill Cameron is done. #Millard up now for cross examination. Asks Abuhav to read a page of his statement.

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV 21s22 seconds ago
The last time he saw her was when he told her to take a taxi and leave.
The Crown has finished questioning. Dellen Millard begins cross.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews 21s21 seconds ago
"You told police, when girls leave, they don't tell me they disappear with the wind." Abuhav agrees he said that. #Babcock

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now10 seconds ago
Abuhav had 3 drivers; Alex Plant, Mike Bean, and Richard Marcovitch, #Millard reminds him.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now45 seconds ago
When Laura #Babcock come to work for Abuhav, she was new to the business, he agrees.

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now16 seconds ago
Millard: "Was it your understanding Laura Babcock was new to the business?"
Witness responds, yes.

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now5 seconds ago
Millard asks about that first night, that Babcock went back to a client's home after finishing an appointment. That's against the rules?

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now13 seconds ago
There's a rule against staying with clients after their paid time, #Millard establishes, "advice to the girls."

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now40 seconds ago
Sometimes girls go back anyway, for money #Millard says, "or maybe they're having a good time." Abuhav says it's not about money. Security

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now22 seconds ago
Abuhav says "something can go wrong." #Millard adds, "a lot can go wrong." Then says a girl on her own can make twice as much money.

The Crown finishes questioning.

Dellen Millard begins cross.

"Was it your understanding Laura Babcock was new to the business?"

He responds, yes.

Millard asks about that first night, that Babcock went back to a client's home after finishing an appointment.

There's a rule against that, Millard asks?

Witness responds, "When they go on their own, they lose private security."
by Shannon Martin 12:02 PM

Well then, I guess the TV producer lied when he said they met at the bar? They met through her "friend". The pimp basically saying he hired her, she liked him and he let her stay there.

Pretty sad these pimps take half of their money...awful.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now21 seconds ago
Millard says if girls only get half the income, and if they think they can do it on their own, they'd double their income. Abuhav says no.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now1 minute ago
Without an agency, girls have to charge less, Abuhav says. Majority of clients were men. Screened over phone. #Babcock

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now57 seconds ago
Clients are used to hearing that price, $300 from agency. Independent girls "charge less of course," Abuhav says.

If u murder a pregnant girl do u also get charged with the murder of the unborn baby?? Or is that filed away under creative abortion
I'm not sure about in Canada but in some states for sure. Scott Petersen is behind bars for the murder of both his wife Laci and unborn baby Connor in California. They had bodies in that case though

The agency is aware of where the girl is, and has a driver waiting for her, Abuhav says. Otherwise, "she has great risk, right?" #Millard

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now1 minute ago
Millard, "If she's got no manager or driver, she'd face a bigger risk?"
Witness says that's true.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now1 minute ago
Abuhav has no idea what #Babcock was doing in the weeks between the first and second time she worked for him.

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now21 seconds ago
Millard asks about the two week gap between Babcock's appointments, suggesting she could've been working as an escort on her own.

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now16 seconds ago
Witness says he has no idea what she was doing.

It's possible she didn't realize right away and no matter how good of a person you are, sadly a hard drug habit is hard to kick... Plenty of innocent babies born addicted. Moo

Abuhav told police #Babcock had a couple large suitcases. Thought maybe one was black. With wheels. #Millard asks, maybe it was dark blue?

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now27 seconds ago
Millard now turns his focus to the luggage Babcock had with her when she was sleeping in the escort office.

Millard now turns his focus to the luggage Babcock had with her when she was sleeping in the escort office.
Witness remembers one suitcase was black.
by Shannon Martin 12:14 PM

Was it big? Did it have wheels, Millard asks about the suitcase.
"Don't remember, don't remember," the witness repeats.
by Shannon Martin 12:15 PM

DM next will bring out a witness of his own to show that a similar piece of luggage was seen at the Pearson airport that month. Just shut up and go back to your cell.
