And I think they asked Mallory if Caylee loved her Mom. Kids and adult kids love their parents no matter how bad it is. A little 34 month old has no idea what is going on totally around them. Little Caylee spent so much time with adults that had other agendas when her Mom drug her to parties. I am sure these young early 20's thought she was a cutie but they were in party mode and not the kinda party mode I am sure Caylee found a lot of fun. If Caylee's normal fun was sitting at home watching her Mom on the computer or going shopping or hanging with Mommies friends how fun can that be on a day to day basis.
I have the experience everyday right now babysitting for my 2 grandsons 2 yrs old and I spend most of the time entertaining them not visiting with anyone and it is time consuming. So I can't believe young 20 yr old guys know what being a good mom is. It is not just giving snacks and making sure diapers are changed. No offense to these guys but ask any Mom of a 2 yr old.
By almost 3 they require even more attention.

ITA with your post on what Caylee likely did when with her mom. Which underscores why she likely loved being around her grandma because CA focused on her and did things with her that were fun. She played with her in essence. I totally understand that. My grandson's are well taken care of but aren't engaged by their parents one-on-one in a playful way on a regular basis. As they have grown older of course, they have lots of things to keep to keep them occupied. But, when I arrive the fun is on. We run from one end of the house to the other. We build forts, we tickle each other and play crazy games and just in general have a ton of fun. It's a special bond.

I hope and pray this is a sign that the Anthony family is UNITED in the pursuit of justice for Caylee and that the three plan to sit in court together as they lean on and support one another :praying:

BBM ... I absolutely agree with you ! I am hoping for the same. I am on pins and needles waiting for tomorrow and the rest of Cindy's testimony. Seems like LA would follow behind her. Just a guess on my part.

C M A, C M A..........just sayin'.

Weren't we all shocked by Lee's very obvious lack of support for ICA at the most recent evidentiary hearings? :waitasec:

I clearly remember we were jumping for joy with his testimony.
Has he had a change of heart since then? I would think he would really have swung away from her even more so after the opening statements? :waitasec: :waitasec:

I hate to disagree but I don't think KC was selling drugs. For one thing, with all the media attention and interviews with just about anyone who has ever talked to her, someone would have said something. Her whole life has been laid bare.
And personally I just don't think she had the desire to do anything that took work. She just didn't seem to have the motivation or initiative to exert herself. She much preferred to let others earn the money and then she would help herself to it.

Maybe.
I just got a feeling Lee was referring to something 'not on the up and up'. It was the way they were 'avoiding' and clue talking.

Not sure if anyone who was buying from her would 'out' themselves... She seems like a scavenger to me.

Who knows............Nothing surprises me with this girl.

Casey's Brother Files Motion To Be In Courtroom For Trial

The motion was filed over the weekend by Casey's brother, Lee Anthony, who is also a witness in the case. Lee Anthony’s attorney, Mark Lippman, who is also representing George and Cindy Anthony, will petition the judge on Tuesday to allow Lee Anthony to sit in on the trial and hear testimony from other witnesses. Typically witnesses aren't allowed to be in court to hear other testimony.

I have a theoretical question: only hypothetical, but: what if the innuendo about Lee is true? And he says she might have thought that? That could really twist this up. (I am not saying it is true, but what if?)

Won't the State ask Lee if he ever molested KC? I would think they would and He would have to answer. If he is on Caylee's side, he will answer truthfully but if he is trying to help KC he will say he did molest her. Perhaps he did molest her but I doubt it. I hope he is on the stand tomorrow but I bet JB spends all day harranguing Cindy and trying to get her to admit to family secrets.

Ugh. I mean as much as I was pleased and touched that CA decided to be human and at least mostly honest... what's with this family believing they are above ALL of the rules? I mean I get wanting to support your family etc etc etc, but something in this smacks of entitlement and the joy of stepping on official boundaries. Terminal 'specialness'.

I'd like to be proven wrong.

I have not had a chance to read every post, so if I am repeating info, just ignore me! A good friend pointed out something we both think is significant. Lee is using the same attorney as Cindy and George now. He does not have his own attorney as he did at previous times. This alone makes me think he is siding (if I can use that word) with his parents at this point.

Yes, that is another reason why I believe he will do the right thing. I always hoped he would.

There is something about Mr. Lippman that I think I like. He has kept them all quiet since he came into the picture. :twocents:

I think it's a good sign that Lee has the same attorney, Lippman, as George and Cindy have. First, I think Lippman has done a good job "managing" G and C. Secondly, I would think they're all going to be basically on the same page.

Well, at least we can hope. (This case scares me with all its twists and turns and drama, LOL)

It's irrelevant to whether she murdered her child, which is why she is on trial.

Actually if you listen to the questioning Baez is the one that said Amazing and mallory said, yes amazing.
I had also noticed that it was Baez that said the word "amazing"...and then Mallory agreed with him and said, "amazing". I wondered at the time if she would have used that particular word if Baez hadn't said it.

As much as the A's bug me, this isn't all that unusual. The family of the victim is often excused from this rule as a courtesy. I'm almost certain that both side (the Rochas and the Petersons) were allowed to be in the courtroom during Scott's trial.

Since all of these witnesses have been deposed extensively, it doesn't really do them any good to change their stories now. And since it is televised and all over the media, there isn't the same protection from finding out what other witnesses testified to like there were when this rule was thought up.

ETA: in fact, it is specifically written in the FL constitution that victims and next of kin are excused from this rule. RH wrote a blog post explaining it.

at the 23 second mark in this video Baez asks Mallory how she would decribe to the ladies and gentlemen of the jury about the way Caylee loved her mother Casey. She looks toward the jury and says: It was amazing (then starts to cry)

It's later at at the 1:24 mark that Baez says Amazing and Mallory agrees Amazing.

Oh aren't we Lucky Grammas? Loved your post. What makes me so mad that CA is being deprived of all the years of special times because of ICA. She just doesn't realize what she took from the whole family. I hope she comes to that realization soooon and it hurts so bad she can't stand it.
My grandkids range from 19 yrs to 2 yrs and thats alot of memories I am blessed with.
My prayers the CA and GA to deal with their loss.

I have to say that I was quite surprised that the SA didn't put LA up on the stand immediately after GA had testified. I suppose they may have their reasons but until he gets up there it's difficult to really know what he will say or do. I suppose the fact that he now has the same lawyer as the A's might be telling...
