So.... The dude that claims to be Princes son wants a blood test and wants to be named as sole heir .
His mother has a blog and claims to be writing a book.
In her blog she tells the whole story of a one night stand ...
She met him IN A HOTEL LOBBY...
She claims she didn't really like him that much but he was Prince the Singer....
They got a hotel room, had a tryst and she FELL ASLEEP
WHEN SHE WOKE UP HE WAS GONE .... THERE WAS A PIECE OF PAPER WITH AN NUMBER IN A CHAIR
SAYING CALL ME SOMETIME ...

AH JEEZ ....

SOUND FAMILIAR ?
Darling Nikki ?

Probably a look-alike guy who convinced her he was Prince.

Imo - part of the tragedy here is that so many famous people can check into Hazelden or Betty Ford because they are so far away from Minnesota? Their anonimity is more protected because they are not on their Hollywood or NYC turf...

How soon do you think it would become major headlines that Prince was in rehab in his own home town or state? Was he willing or ready to deal with that press in addition to trying to get clean?

As I think about it, the "dance party" Saturday after the airplane crisis was perhaps a ruse for the press - to allow him to slip away quietly, and go to rehab, out of the limelight. --Really do believe Prince wanted to get clean. The subsequent doctor's son on the scene and visit nite before to another doctor just highlight the urgency... Imagine if he were an ordinary citizen, he could have checked himself into world class rehab locally and no one would know... But because he is Prince he knew TMZ and the like would be relentless... It makes me doubly sad to think that fame (and rabid press) might have impeded this man in seeking the help he needed with privacy and dignity.

ETA: there are many private locations all over the USA for these excellent rehabs and maybe Prince was finally willing to let go and look at the options. I wish he had considered European rehabs, too... Though he may have been too much like a homing pigeon for Minnesota in his mindset... I can relate...
Exactly! I agree. Prince most likely was reluctant to get treated at a local hospital the night before his death because of the publicity and instead was left alone taking a dangerous combination of drugs most likely prescribed to him. If he had someone with him he probably could have been saved. Why oh why was he alone?? If only he wasn't, right?

Prince interview & performance on Jay Leno 2001.

He is very delightful here and totally breaks down the math of the music industry. There is so much James Brown in his performance, the exquisite tightness of musianship. -Amazing, and amazing grace.

No matter what happened to this dear soul, there's no taking the legend out of this man...

Prince's last days: What we know

Slowly, the veil surrounding the last days of Prince Rogers Nelson is beginning to lift, offering fans a closer look at the events that led to the singer's untimely death.

On Tuesday, we learned in a search warrant that a Minnesota doctor had seen Prince twice -- the last time the day before the entertainer's April 21 death. Law enforcement sources told CNN that investigators are closely examining the relationship between the doctor, the music legend, and his people.

A look at the last few days of his life provides some clues in hindsight that all was not well...

Right. Prince would have been 17 at the time. Probably still in high school and probably not in celebrity status just yet. What would he be doing in Kansas City at 17? IMO just an illusion on this womans part.

Exactly ! He wasn't famous yet, hadn't made an album , but she says he didn't introduce himself, but she recognized him as Prince the singer ?

Memorial hosted by Prince's ex wives in Beverely Hills CA. What a beautiful thing to do. Apparently they were not included in the Paisley Park memorial. And they included Omar Baker, the brother who was not invited...

You know, that had to be bittersweet for Mayte , she finally spoke the name of their son in public...after Prince was gone ..
:-(
Ahmir ....means Prince ..too much to bear ..

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I do like that the Jehovah Witness organization is holding a very private, invitation only funeral for Prince.

The family is not going. Seems controversial.

"Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, took to Facebook on Friday to say that neither she nor her brother’s remains would be at the service on Sunday because “once is enough” and the family is working on a public “memorial/funeral/tribute” here in August. She said to expect “more updates soon.”

Attorney: There May Be 2 More Potential Heirs to Prince Estate

by Phil Helsel

More possible heirs to music legend Prince's estate emerged Thursday, including a child who may be his grandniece, according to a letter filed with a Minnesota court.

An attorney said the girl, identified as a V.N., a minor, is the daughter of the son of Duane Joseph Nelson Sr., who the lawyer said is Prince's half-brother.

Duane Joseph Nelson, Sr., died in 2011. He also had a daughter, Brianna Nelson, who could also be an heir, attorney Michael B. Padden said in a letter to a Carver County court dated Thursday that was filed Friday.

"I believe that under Minnesota law, his children and grandchildren would be considered heirs for this pending estate," Padden said in the letter...

Makes you wonder more who Prince wanted as beneficiaries. Sad that he neglected to make a will.

I think he thought like we did...he would always be around ...

I don't think so. He spoke often in his interviews of what will happen when he "moves on from this experience"
I don't believe didn't have a will, he worked his hole career to gain control over his master recordings. Combine that with the vault and I have a had time believing he didn't have a plan in place.
