In Diane Fannings book she states that one of the bar complaints about Baez had to do with Todd Black while working under Baez's direction made derogatory statements about the State's Attorney and Assistant State's Attorneys. Baez was never proved to have given Todd Black (Mr. Cabott) permission/direction to do this on his behalf and the case was closed. She said the complaint from the judge was similar to Dominick Casey's related to Baez instructing him not to call the authorities if and when he found the child's body.
Does anyone have a copy of the rules/laws about who indeed is allowed to visit under the wing of attorney / client visits rather than have to visit through the phone/video system he friends and family must visit through? I am interested in how and why the private investigator is allowed to visit with her in person.
You all have done some amazing work looking in to who these various visitors are. If it turns out that indeed they are making media deals with Casey or trademarking her baby's likeness or name I will not be surprised. With all the media attention the Tot Mom play has received, it would be highly unlikely the idea has not ran through Casey and Baez's mind, and as she sits there today she is still presumed innocent, even in the check fraud case.So, it would be now or never to make any such deals. Once she pleads or is found guilty all of those deals will be made by her parents which I trust just burns her up to imagine. Before he decided he was not to return here to w/s, I tried to ask Mr. Hornsby the legal question , if someone acting on Baez's instruction or indeed working for him made the media deals would he be held accountable to the judge for insisting "I" have made no such deals, whatsoever? If he is splitting hairs Bill Clinton style and saying HE didn't make the deal isn't that unethical, if it is being done at his instruction?
It reminds me of the boss having an amount of plausible dependability and the lesser employee being the sacrificial lamb if the deal goes sour. Oliver North comes to mind.I lost what remained of my naïveté watching those Iran Contra hearings.
I trust the State is watching these visitor logs carefully , since the best predictor of Baez's ethics is his past behavior, they would be derelict not to watch with scrutiny. Just as quickly as we can google the visitor names and background so can the State. I think they have a full knowing of who visits and why. I imagine it is Mom and Pop who are a nervous wreck trying to figure it out with only someone as inexperienced as Dominick to help them do so, they may as well consult their eight ball.
