By the way, I'm a little confused about why LM was in London and for how long he was there. Is that where he filmed one of the animal killing videos? I was trying to figure out what they were talking about with today's witness matching "blankets" from the video or something like that?

Very, very basically

The first video was posted December 2010.
This is what started the 'hunt' from the Animal Rights Group(s).

The Sun picked up on this & put up a reward.
They were kept up to date of what was happening but nothing published (I don't think)

November 2011 Alex West/The Sun received e-mail(s) tipping them off Luka was in London.

The Three Videos:

• December 2010: He released a film showing himself in a small room putting two very small kittens into Vacuum Space Bag.......

° December 2010: Shortly after the Vacuum Kitten Killer video was released, he released two more very short videos where he is seen........

• December 2011: He released a film showing himself playing with a small cat on a bed with a golden bedspread and pillows.
The video then cuts to the same cat .......

• December 2011: He released a video where he is playing with a different small cat on the same golden bedspread. A very large Albino Burmese Python is revealed to be hidden under the pillows......

o Shortly after the Python video was released, he released another video where he can be seen stroking the python and showing it off. He is also filmed with an unidentified person in this video. It is unknown if this person is aware of what has / or will happen with this python or what the suspect has done.

The Search: A Facebook group was formed on December 22nd 2010, right after the Vacuum video was released to try to analyze the video & pictures to determine a location and identify of .......

Hope this helps !

Well the part they chose to put in print anyway. There are a few more disgusting paragraphs they wisely chose to leave out. ;)

I tried to see the 'Tweet' mentioned about this but keeps crashing my phone ~ lol
Is it also in French ?

I can't find anything else with description of the 'other paragraphs'

Anyone got any links or tips to find ??

I think LM is definitely going to be found guilty, because in most of the other cases I've read about where the person is found NCR it's clear-cut - the prosecution psychiatrists also find that the person was psychotic at the time. I do believe that LM has schizophrenia, because he was diagnosed more than ten years ago, has never spoken about it publicly for attention as he does most things (in fact his lawyer fought to keep the diagnosis from being made public) and has been in and out of mental hospitals over the years. So i don't think it's something he faked for attention or to "get away with" murder; if anything I think it's something he's ashamed of. His behaviour seems to show that he possibly had delusions of grandeur at the time of the murder, thinking that he was some kind of criminal genius who could get away with murder - but still knew that he was committing murder and doing something wrong and illegal. I suspect that he is now medicated and has been brought back down to earth with a crash, because I would have expected him to be loving all the attention and notoriety right now and to me he doesn't seem to be. He hasn't been making a scene or posing in court or attempting to speak to the media or anything like that, which his behaviour before he was arrested led me to expect. He just seems pathetic and pitiful now.

I would only hope his pathetic, pitiful demeanor now suggests some sort of remorse, but then again I doubt it.He is probably ashamed that he can't use his make up and look hot during the trial.I'm actually really glad that his trial is not getting much attention at all outside of Canada.I just came back from Germany and even though he was caught there noone knows who he is.Not much coverage in the U.S. either. Most of his fan groupies seemed to have dissapeared as well, hopefully it is down to a few pubescent girls that don't know any better.Pitiful and pathetic he truly is.

Full Credit for all this information must be given to Baudi Moovan :seeya: & everyone involved in the ABProject
~ The enormous amount of time, effort & heartache entailed ~

But thanks to them I feel could just make all the difference as to proving the jury there is just NOW WAY Magnotta could possibly be NCR !

SBM.
I know a lot of people were writing to him, and some of his responses were posted online. (It was a lot of "me, me, me" and "money orders can be made out to such-and-such", as one might expect.) Even his loony supporters had to tire of that pretty quickly.

Exquisitely put :floorlaugh:

Some interesting video clips about schizophrenia:
Short interviews with four patients showing different symptoms of schizophrenia:

Interview with Steven, who has violent schizophrenia, and his dad. This dad deserves a medal, what an amazing man!

Documentary about schizophrenia. The narration is sensationalised, but there are some good interviews with people with schizophrenia and their families, including John Nash (who inspired the film A Beautiful Mind) and his son, who has sadly inherited his dad's schizophrenia.

According to the press reports, LM was diagnosed in 2000 or before. His fraud conviction wasn't until 2005, so i seriously doubt he was "faking it" to get a lighter sentence. I'm guessing the prosecution will agree that he has schizophrenia, but will argue that it didn't make him kill and he still knew right from wrong. The diagnosis could still be a mitigating factor though.

"Magnotta has been suffering from paranoid schizophrenia since at least 2000, his doctor wrote. He’s been hospitalized because of it and had two stays at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital in 2003.
In 2005, Magnotta was prescribed five different medications, including two antipsychotic drugs, Seroquel and Risperdal, to treat his disorder. He was also prescribed an anti-anxiety medication, a night sedative and a drug to counteract unwanted side-effects from his antipsychotic medication"

Apparently when he fled Canada after the murder he was crying and agitated on the plane. Could be a sign of remorse, or he could just be terrified of flying or something.

Very interesting links...thank you. I actually found myself watching a few more. Such a horrible disease. I just don't see how LM appeared to be so high functioning if he was unmedicated for all those years. :waitasec:

:shocked2: Well I did ask for that ~ lol

Thanks Kamille, I haven't seen that part before

But this kinda sums up why they're so sure it was Magnotta

He was very sexy & I had an ******** our entire encounter

Sorry for all my disjointed posts but I'm using an old glitchy smartphone.

The only interview I've found with a family member (an aunt) seems to confirm that he has a long-standing mental illness:

"He's a nut job. I did not trust him," the woman said. "Eric is the type of individual, I think he's mentally ill. He has delusions of grandeur. He concocts stories that he tends to believe and they in turn become fact in his mind."

Well, schizophrenia can be episodic and he would only have been making TV appearances etc during periods of relative stability. I'm not sure I would call him high functioning because his life seemed pretty messed up - working as a prostitute, and spending most of his time living a strange fantasy life on the internet. He seems flat and distant much of the time, such as in this interview linked to below.

We haven:t heard from he defence witnesses yet but I suspect we'll find that he was hospitalised on many occasions, sometimes for long periods and against his will. I also wouldn't be surprised if we find that he's been in trouble with the police a lot.n

Check out this interview with him on a plastic surgery reality show, to me he seems so flat and distant and not all there...

And here's one more clip from 2007. The interviewer said he was creepy, had unfocused eyes and was stumbling. He thought LM must have a substance abuse problem and felt sorry for him, and hoped he would get some help

Thanks for those links too Rayemonde. I've never seen LM actually live on video. And I've got to say that I don't get a mentally ill vibe from him in those either. I get a stuck up, narcissistic "I'm ready for my close-up Mr DeMille" vibe from him. I think his "flat" affect looks more like a diva trying not to move their face either because they are botoxed to death or because they don't want to make lines appear in their "flawless complexion". I'd imagine the colour contact lenses were also a distraction. You've got to be careful with those because they can slip and then people will know you're faking it. ;)

It doesn't appear as though the witness who was paying for his "escort" services saw any mental illness in him either. In fact he really thought he was a normal guy, different from most escorts in that he was not a druggie and enjoyed his company. I believe their last encounter was fairly close to the murder date. And of course Frank Rubert, who says he "knows" mental illness didn't see anything wrong with him either. Well except that he was unkept and wasn't his "type". LOL

I have no doubt that he suffers from some form of mental illness however. I don't think anyone who doesn't could do the things he did. And considering his father apparently was also diagnosed with schizophrenia it is not a stretch to assume he has it. I certainly hope that was a true diagnosis and not just his attempt to explain away his unusual narcissistic and sociopathic behaviour at the time. I just don't have enough knowledge of the disease to make a distinction here as to whether he has it or was suffering some kind of break when he did this. I am very interested in the reports of the army of doctors that I assume will be testifying in this case, both for the prosecution and the defense. I really hope they all have only the best intentions for the safety of the public in mind when they testify.
