That's it for Blake. Witness 48 against #AaronHernandez will be Blake's boss Kevin Riddle. @ 2:54pm Boston time
and.... I guess another sidebar - it's been a bit since anyone said anything!

Riddle, 53, testifies he heard the gunshot from his office. He and Blake walked next door to where the SUV was seen. #AaronHernandez

@Laurel_Sweet

Dismissing it as a backfire, Riddle went back to work. "About the time my rear hit the seat, Mingle came back in ..#AaronHernandez

"... and said, 'Now there's a person.' "#AaronHernandez

Riddle said Bradley was bleeding "profusely" in a fetal position, but "surprisingly alert."#AaronHernandez

It's weird - she tweets before they have even said something.... :thinking:

A 911 operator kept urging Riddle to ask Bradley if he knew who shot him.Bradley's reply: "No, I do not."
#AaronHernandez
Laurel J. Sweet
@Laurel_Sweet

When Riddle persisted he said Bradley told him, "I don't want to talk anymore. I'm going to bleed out."#AaronHernandez

Riddle testifies he told @bostonpolice that he thought the shooting occurred outdoors because of blood spatter on pipes.#AaronHernandez
Laurel J. Sweet
@Laurel_Sweet

The pipes are near where Bradley's hat and a shell casing were recovered. Like Blake, he said the shot was loud and clear.#AaronHernandez

#BREAKING Locke has just suspended the trial until Monday due to illness spreading through trial teams, court staff.

Thanks for posting the tweets Niner! There is a delay in the live stream because the have to check it prior to broadcasting. There was an issue earlier about showing something they shouldn't, so that's why the tweets can come first.

Those last 2 witnesses hurt the State's case a bit. They said they saw a 'dark SUV' speeding away. And AB said it was a white Range Rover he was in.

And they said there was 'blood splatter' on the pipes outside and the shot sound was very loud, not muffled.

So this will help when Baez sets his case up, to say the shooting was by someone else, and outside of the car.

I still believe Alexander Bradley. A gunshot inside the car is still very loud. Not necessarily muffled. And also the possibility that AB's mind was messed up during the traumatic shooting. They may have put the gun to his head inside the car, but then threw him out and shot him on the road?

It may have been a jumble and confusing as it was happening. Which is not unusual to trauma victims.

ME TOO, my ADD kicks in too ESP if its a New England trial of any kind. I am from Boston. A huge PATS fan.

Crazy, I am not aware of any station just streaming the audio BUT if I do hear of one ... I will post the link, ok!
Thanks...I am only living back there in the summers now...I just get super distracted with tablets streaming (I can't just have on audio lol) and trying to do my regular work...thank goodness I do this from home haha!

I am a huge Pats fan as well (well baseball and hockey too)...and although I live out of state, I actually follow the Boston news more closely then the news where I live...I guess it comes down to what you are used to

OKay, so the defense did some damage today with one old text. But I think they are misrepresenting what the tweet actually means. So I hope the State can explain and clarify for the jury.

Here is the text:

In a plea deal, Bradley, however, gave authorities full access to his phone, including deleted and otherwise privileged communication with his lawyer. That includes a text that suggests Bradley actually has no idea if, contrary to his repeated testimony here this week, Hernandez shot him in the face in February of 2013.

“Now u sure once I withdraw this lawsuit I wont be held on perjury after I tell the truth about me not recalling anything about who shot me,” Bradley wrote to attorney Robert Pickering.

I disagree with the defenses interpretation of that text.

My interpretation is based upon the CONTEXT of the tweet. Originally AB had said various times that he 'had no idea who shot him.' He told authorities that a few times. BUT IT WAS NOT THE TRUTH. He did not want to tell on AH at first.

So in the above text he is saying ' when he tells the truth about him not knowing who shot him' ---he means he was not telling the truth at first, and NOW he wants to.

But the defense is trying to make it seem like he is saying that he is going to finally tell the truth that he doesn't know who shot him. And that is obviously not so. He does not do that.

He is asking his lawyer, about the consequences of his finally admitting that he DOES know who shot him. I think that can be explained to the jury although it might be hard to do so if the defense keeps muddying the waters.

at first read, that text is jolting and it does seem like he is saying he does not know who shot him. But in context, it is clear that he is saying WHEN he tells the truth about the situation. Which is what he was about to do when he asked his lawyer about any perjury issues since he had lied when he said he had no idea who shot him.

I found this text pretty interesting, then what happened shortly after. It was with the computer guy before lunch that I wasn't following so closely. I'll have to rewatch...

Laurel J. Sweet‏ @Laurel_Sweet
In last text Bradley sent #AaronHernandez threatening to expose him he wrote, "have fun explaining that to coach n the pats franchise ..."

Laurel J. Sweet‏ @Laurel_Sweet
#AaronHernandez murdered Odin L. Lloyd six days later.

There is about two weeks left till the jury gets this. The defense says they need about a week. So given closing arguments, etc. the CW has a little less than a week before ending their case.

@Laurel_Sweet
Now, Blake insists he saw a "dark-colored SUV" flee the area. Bradley testified #AaronHernandez shot him in a white Range Rover.

I may be wrong but ... this seems like such a huge discrepancy ... wonder how much it will affect the jury? I'm thinking it could be a "cold blow". Enough to put some doubt in there as to accuracy of witness testimony .... sigh.

Could he be intimidated and changed his story? I wonder what he said in previous interviews....do we know any of the interviews?

Intimidation most likely (I can't remember where he is being held)...before AH was even implicated in this crime the incident with AB was brought up in FL because it happened in February before the OL shooting (I could be wrong on the time frame) but I totally remember when they interviewed him and he decided to press charges...now he isn't sure? I don't buy it

Well, AB "knew" he was in a white SUV - maybe the alleyway was dark, and Mingle just didn't see the SUV until it was in the dark part of the alley. I know some colors you can't really make out the color at night time.

Could the 'blood splatter' be when they threw him out of the car - and the blood from his injury 'splatter' the pipe? Also, the 'sound' of the gunshot - maybe one of the windows of the SUV were open? :dunno: And agree it was definitely a traumatic event for AB - and definitely confusing for him.

I don't think it hurt the state's case too much really. It was the first witness Mingle that saw the SUV and it was still pretty dark. He also thought Bradley was white....and the prosecution was sure to ask these questions as they probably knew he would say the SUV was a dark color. Now of course, Baez will make a big deal out of it though. As you say, it was a bad trauma for Bradley and he may have not been so clear, but I was pretty amazed just how coherent he was. I can't imagine if that were me...I probably wouldn't remember anything with a gun shot to my head!
