I assume this was orchestrated by Baez (who was not there)...I don't care how many kisses he blows etc. out of the sight of the jury but at this point of course the jury saw them sitting there and it could have an impact...remember they do not have the cynical eyes we do nor are they savvy to Baez' tricks etc...it humanizes this **** and hopefully set aside for the verdict. At this point not a clue what is happening in that jury room.

So heartbreaking for that poor little girl! I wouldn't put it pass Baez to set this all up! I know it's his job but can't stand the guy.

Hopefully they saw the families sitting in front of Shayanna and the baby and they were focused on the tears rolling down their faces and this little trick backfires on them.

yes and those families were at the trial each and every day. I imagine some of the wrangling going could be the majority wanting to convict him and trying hard to put all the evidence in place and figuring out if it can overcome the doubt. I think anyone would agree there is some doubt but the question is how much and is it too much for some on that jury.

Heartbreaking because here was an loving little girl who simply wanted to be with her dad. Heartbreaking because here was an adoring child whose relationship with him is, and always will be, housed by court officers and prison bars. Heartbreaking because here was an innocent child who can’t possibly grasp it all. (Shayanna would grant permission to a pool photographer and cameraman to take pictures and film her daughter.)

Heartbreaking, too, because of the people sitting in the two rows in front of Jenkins-Hernandez.

Each and every day the families and friends of Abreu and Furtado come here in an attempt to find closure for their worst nightmare. They are blue-collar immigrants, arriving from Cape Verde off the West African coast.
......
Heartbreaking? Oh so heartbreaking because the chance for these two families to see Daniel and Safiro again under any circumstance – to see them smile, to see them beam, to see them light up in love – would be a gift to cherish.

They don’t get that gift. They don’t get that chance. Their son is gone. Their brother is gone. Their cousin is gone. Their friend is gone.

No waves. No blown kisses. Nothing.

I think when his daughter is older she will be thankful he AH was out of her life early...who knows what went on inside that beautiful home, but I am betting it was not all sunshine and roses...he involved her mother in conspiracy and she is lucky that her mom has been granted immunity in two trials (I think)...it will be interesting when he is finally done with his days in court (pending any other trials I hope don't come to light) if his fiancé actually stays "his fiancé" (since that looks so much better for the jury as well) and how long it takes before she starts talking about life with Hernandez...

So Shayanna shows up with her black eyeglasses on clutching her daughter. Who brings a baby to court that her father is on trial for a double homicide! Who's idea... Baez or Sullivan?

I'd have to say "Baez".... disgusting, as he is....

K - I'll be back here at 4pm EDT! See you all then!

Shayanna bringing her daughter in to court yesterday threw me over the edge. For the past almost six weeks, we have listened to the defense try to hint of bad things of these two young men could have been involved in who were supposedly shot dead by the great AH. Yes, the same one that Baez said 'it was his honor to introduce'. These poor families have been there day in and day out waiting to see justice served for these young men, listening to all the BS in that courtroom, even listening to the daily mistrial motions trying the save this convicted murderer from yet another life sentence. When Shayanna showed up with 'his' child at 'his' double murder trial sitting behind those families, I lost it. Are they really that desperate to bring an innocent child into this mess to try to sway a jury? Well, if that isn't the lowest of low, I don't know what is. I don't know if this was her idea, Baez, or someone else's... she is the one who did it... but she has proven over and over, she will do 'anything' for him. She needs to be banned from the courtroom.

No matter what the outcome of this trial is, in a few days AH will no longer have his daily outings to court putting on a nice suit and tie, hugging and kissing his defense team, but he will be transported back to 'his home', the Souza-Baranowski prison... where he belongs.

The little girl was only 7 mo. old when he was arrested and held without bail. How much could she possibly miss him? He's never been to one of her birthday parties, never watched her open presents at Christmas, never taken her to the park to play, never watched Sesame Street with her, never done anything with her---except maybe talk to her during a prison visit for a short time. I don't think they're allowed allowed contact visits where he's at so he's never held her or hugged her since she was an infant.

Dragging that poor child to court was just for show. Shame on mommy.

A big old "Amen" on this post. I thought it was one of the most distasteful things I've ever seen in a trial. (And I watched Jodi Arias!) Shayanna not only brought her, she also gave permission for the pool cameras to film them and take pictures. If it was only so a little girl could see her father, why would she do that? Wouldn't she want to protect a 4-year-old's privacy as much as she could?

I felt just heartbroken for the victims' families, sitting a couple of rows up. THAT was - and has been - the ONLY heartbreaking scene for me. :moo:

Personally I dont think any of them are the cream of the crop if you know what I mean.
Looks like they will try anything which to me makes no sense because AH is not going anywhere either way.
This trial just gave him a sort reprive out of his cage.

Just got back from grocery shopping - give me a few and I'll post Travis' tweets!
